  1. I was talking to a guy in a pub in South London last night and he knows that the players know that the board has lost confidence in the groundsman and that the Brewster is going to become the new groundsman and that Tommy Cumming is going to replace Gordon Ramsey who's going to become our Joint Manager with Billy Dodds and purple monkey dishwasher
  2. Hope the Red Cross will be in attendance in case of emergency!
  3. Didn't Duncan Shearer re-register as a player some time after he retired - to cover a shortage of regular first team players for the bench?
  4. The Fly

    Cis Draw

And you still owe me for my smokies he ate ;-)
  5. Great post and metaphor! PS I still call them hi-fi systems :-)
  6. ROFL! I won't comment on what's gone before, done and dusted and lesson learnt... But just say don't go throwing confetti on the pitch when Tommy's around - you would get a rather large piece of his mind! :-) Thread closed unless there's anything useful to add
  7. May be a Good Thing that if left us then! One goal in 30 games against a bunch of trainees...
  8. The X Man must have scored for Canada while he was with us, I'm sure. Perhaps even Hastings might have scored for them some time?
  9. Apathy 1. Oh, look it up yerself, I can't be bothered...
  10. The basic problem is that Fir Park's sandpit pitch is awful, has been for ages
  11. It's how I (used to) get to games
  12. On BBC sport site, shirley cannot be seriously thinking he has a chance - managed Wycombe to 8th place in the English 4th division this season...
  13. If you have it on the pitch don't forget the confetti! ;-) congratulations!
  14. Croatia had more skill, more hunger, more passion. At least England players will get more time to spend with the new Porsche and Bentley models coming out next summer...
  15. 1. Gordon 2. McGregor 3. Langfield (as chosen by Alex, 46, from Glasgow) Would Brown have had more chance of a call-up to replace McGregor if he was still with us?
  16. We must be due a win against Aberdeen - 15(?) games against them without. Ironic if we did win, goal scored by Brewster, and they decided to wave goodbye to Tango Man... ;D
  17. I recommend the Opera Mini browser - to get it just go to mini.opera.com on your WAP service and you can get it free for most current phones. Works well, I've used it to access the forum for some time now while I don't have desktop internet :-) ... And you can post live from games or while waiting in the car park :-D
  18. Think there's something wrong with your keyboard Mantis - words coming out in the wrong order! I'm sure what you meant to say was "I remember standing there as a goggle-eyed old buffer and getting some teenager to sign my copy" :016: Seriously, Happy Birthday to Against All Odds - one of the main reasons for my support of ICT :drinking08:
  19. I don't know quite how long for, but suspect DU are planning a twinning arrangement with the Forth Bridge :003:
  20. Warnock's CV is pretty good - in particular Notts County and Sheffield Utd taken into the top division, he's also a qualified referee and a chiropodist to boot (no pub intended). Apparantly turned down Chelsea while at Notts County, and given his age and experience I don't think he'd be off at the first 'big club' vacancy. An interesting and controversial character for sure!
  21. Agree with everything said above. Best two Charlie moments to remember: Charlie's MoM at Parkhead on 8 February 2000 and the best result for the club (in the SPL anyway) at Ibrox last October. All the best and thanks :clapping03:
  22. Yep! It serves a great fish and chips, lovely and cosy on a winter day :-)
  23. Agreed, he's got the sort of passion, ability and commitment that would benefit any team - it's a shame he's had such major injury problems, otherwise I think he would still be with us. Would be a real loss if he did give up the game, but I can imagine he's thinking more long-term now - I didn't realise just how old he was!
  24. Duncan Shearer got lucky on the gee-gees? :015:
  25. I can tell you're getting old, things that happened less than three years ago already seem like over a decade in the distant past :015: :015: :015:
