  1. Matt Welcome, rather than us bore you with facts etc etc, i would recommend navigating yourself around this site and the official website for all the historical info you need. As for rivals....Well some may say Aberdeen are our biggest SPL rival, but they will never be a bigger rival for me than Ross County, who happliy lay waste in the 1st Division. hope one day you can make your way over for a game at the Tulloch Stadium
  2. not sure what happened to those recordings...i know they were used for a Jim Gelatley compilation for MFR.. i remember having to record those drums on the electric kit with a horrible click track...not nice... Yes Murray did have a lovely Ric, still my favourite guitar. I think he still has it. I seem to rememer buying my Premier kit form that place as well....happy days
  3. I wondered if any ex Thistle supporters could comment on a work mate who says his dad played for the Red & Blacks. His name is Ronnie Young ( Centre Back) and must have played during the 70-80's anyone have any memories for Mr Young
  4. I did Russel Kane last weekend, very good...my annual August 2 weeks off starts next Fri...so gonna do some shows then...after coming home from Caley v Hamilton that is
  5. I heard it on RR myself today..although there is nothing official. See link to the H**ees forums...seems there is truth in the matter http://www.hibeesbounce.com/forum/general-...xu-resigns.html
  6. try Hjalmer Porrarinson...Norwegian player...did wonders up front for me once Niculaue & Rory for better & worse things And if you can get them to the TCS, try Guilliherme ( Brazillian AMrlc) or Euziqeal Gray( AMLR)
  7. According to Real Radio Hibs manager Mixu has been sacked today..nothing official though
  8. Great start and who better to beat than the Dandies.... Billy Dodds actually said in Sportscene that " Aberdeen should be beating teams like that" meaning ICT...well get it up you Dodds, you were a p*sh player and your just as p*sh as a pundit
  9. A Sports Journalist writing an honest, fair and anti-Old Firm article....whats the world coming to, lol.. wise words Mr Ed and ones i hope to come true Nice One
  10. well done CB....and well done to the youth team
  11. If you can get the cover off, try disconnecting the hard drive and reconnect....since you have that whir & vibration there seems to be still life in the old dear...worked for me google for opening your Pod as it aint easy
  12. I have a PS3...the only sure way is to sign up to the PS3 network and you can download various PS2 games from ?3.49 upwards.. I did read somewhere that the 60gb did have backwards Comp, but not sure
  13. good points raised. I didnt realise there was a similar and better thought out Idea...one of which i would have happily given ?10 a month to... The ?500 figure was just the first that came into my head, and on second thought i suppose it was a bit high, but besides that the idea i still think is a good one, yes i agree there are legal and logistical issues with such a scheme.. but hey we need to have these hair brained schemes out there, lol Like Birddogs kids, ive been Caley since i was a kid myself and i think ideas like this should be encouraged...god knows our club needs some more innovations & proactive thinking. Ebbsfleet Utd was indeed one of the teams i was thinking off Birddog - no offence taken
  14. I dont know where to post this, so maybe a Mod could oblidge..... Over the last year there has been a couple of instances wherebye fans of 2 small clubs have invested in their club, to the point that they are basically running the show. I cant remember the names. So i though of an idea. By the looks of things CB will not recieve any cash from Mariusgate , so Is there anything stopping fans on CT online investing money to buy a player. Even if 200 people chipped in ?500 each; that would raise ?100,000, which would be handed to the club for CB to get a 1/2 decent player. I know this is far fetched and maybe over the top, but i think the fans should be allowed more of a say in the running of a club. Yes there are fan associations and fan trusts, but how great would it be if we actually influenced the buying of a player through our own investment. Personally i would probably be able to provide ?500 if the idea was seen as a winner any thoughts brothers & sisters? BC
  15. Drums indeed, although we had 2 drummers..Marcus being the other
  16. hey he did indeed...The Ice rink gig was with The Railway Children, funnily enough their debut single was called A Gentle Sound...top night. I remember the power cut out during our set and myself & the other drummer just kept playing...happy days
  17. Kinda Blue- now ive re-read your post i see the confusion. I just named a few local acts. I only played for a couple of them ( Electric hole through to AGS)
  18. Kinda Blue - Sorry, i didnt play for Suspect Device, nice lads though. I did play for A Gentle Sound though...We were made up of both Caley & Thistle supporers...you may know our singer Mark, whose dad is Jim Falconer, ICT Treasurer. We did the whole Madchester "baggy"jangly guitar summer of love thing thing...raves, 2 drummers, riots, bannings etc etc happy days
  19. Its called Karma and my name is not Earl.... After their " It not our fans" lies after the Manchester riots and their " we need the 5%" greed of away tickets, im so happy that they are OUT OF EUROPE. Lets hope Motherwell & QOTS show them up Hope their Hooped brothers join them. The commentators had the cheek to suggest that they are not match fit yet....hmmm isnt that what their 6 pre-season friendly games was for....d*cks
  20. Inverness seemed to be Nowhere land for gigs as i remember growing up, but seeing so many replies brought back some great gig memories for me growing up in shneck 999/Flux of Pink Indians - Some church hall behind the bus station, which became Blue i think Southern Death Cult - Pharoes ( ice Rink) & My First gig Souxsie & The Banshees -Pharoes Smiths - Eden Court SLF - Ice rink Mega City 4 - Hayloft Sensless Things - Hayloft Stereophonics - Railway Club The Mission - Aviemore, Dingwall, Elgin The Supernaturals - Railway Club ( before they got signed) I think Inverness was and still is to some degree a warm up area for bands before they tour or festivals. Someone asked who promoted bands back then, well i imagine it was Rob Ellen ( aka Rainbow Rob aka Puff Puff Ellen) On the local band front...I remember seeing As The Crow Flies in Reflections, very early Cure.. I played in a few local acts to varying success myself, so i should be able to name loads of them...The Voyeurs, Tai-Pan, Rainland, The Electric Hole ( who became The Boyfriends and finally A Gentle Sound - AGS), Suspect Device, Speedking My last Inverness gig was when i can up last year for my beloved Damned at the Ironworks, finally they played Inverness
  21. The Proclaimers played the upstairs Market Bar after a Faultline festival gig
  22. All the papers whether Tabloid or Broadsheet are Old Firm biased whithout a doubt. Someone mentioned that they know nothing of the other 10 SP teams and i agree. I have no doubt that we will be safe because we have the belief that has made this a great club Now and in the past.... Survival in the SPL is Hamiltons problem
  23. I did think about it after i posted...thanks
  24. Hey just wanted to gauge some opinions on who is the better site. I rarely use the official website anymore, due to their iceberg pace in announcing ICT news Does anyone know who runs the the official site anway, they need a kick up their a*se if you ask me. I think CT online is a far better source of news, and even the rumour threads give me the odd gem as well any comments BC
  25. Signed it...I feel its time for ICT supporters to stand united behind this and boycott all OF away games this season. Both OF teams only talk in 1 language and that is money...so lets hit them where it hurts
