  1. This makes it very strange that somebody who was so commited and as you say right in the middle of different things to up and go like this and not at least finish what she started. Where does this leave the new foundation that she was key in setting up?
  2. I have always liked the idea of the killie trust. https://killietrust.killiefc.com/ Its been very sucessful in raising much meeded funds for the club while geting a fans representative on their board.
  3. definately will be going, still smiling from yesterday, cant wait.
  4. I just feel its really bad timing to come out and request more money from the fans. Just now there is a feeling (rightly or wrongly) with a lot of fans that money is being squandered and money spent in the wrong areas. By this I mean not dealing with simple day to day stuff, filling hospitality (most have been half empty this season), selling naming rights for the club, advertising boards, even not being able to purchase a scarf in the club shop on match day! We have a new so called marketing expert but this far in the season I can see no improvement. So before I part with even more of my hard earned money, I would really like to see what the club are doing to maximise their revenue streams. Maybe this is happening and we are just not seeing it, but this is what I would need to know before I start donating money into the club.
  5. That was the one I was on about the other day to you, the Cheiftain, it was a brilliant night.
  6. Read the auditors notes on last years lodged accounts and make your own mind up on that one.......
  7. If you have a negative balance sheet then in that situation any business is bankrupt and no accountant would sign off the accounts.
  8. It’s gives the club an asset on their balance sheet and removes a debt in accountancy terms the club is no longer bankrupt. It stops the rental payments having to go through the accounts ever year (which didn’t get paid) which would be owed to tulocchs then requiring a letter of comfort to allow the accounts to be signed off. Tullochs could have called in the debt which would have ended the club. As part of the deal Tucllochs have also given up the naming rights to the stadium. This can now open up a lot of income if the club manage to sell these naming rights to another company.
  9. All very odd as the official website shows that we currently have two number 8s lol
  10. The one at my office was start of December if I remember correctly, not sure about the trust one but it was some time ago.
  11. I get lots of e-mails from the club, and yes im a season ticket holder, but never got an e-mail regarding this ball. I knew about it due to my work as the owner of the business I work for got an invite to purchase a table. The supporters trust also got an invite to purchase a table but there was nothing as far as I could see generally advertising the ball until last week.
  12. Definately aimed at the great and good of Inverness unfortunately, £120 way to expensive for the avarage supporter. Been offered to selected groups and businesses, obviously not sold out to them so being offered to us, 3 weeks before.
  13. Its a big no from me too. Not all our supporters live in the town and im one of them, so moving from Saturday to Friday night would definately stop me going to the games, in fact a season ticket would be utterly useless as I very rarely get to midweek games as it is. I just would not physically be able to attend and get back home. Also seeing what happened with the attendanced at the scotland games shows moving from a 3pm Saturday does not really work for the majority. I also agree with the above comment that it would only really stand a slight chance of working if we also switched to summer football.
  14. Unfortunately no it does not automatically give CJT any boardroom representation. It does allow a representantive to attend AGMs etc but that is it.
  15. To be perfectly honest im currently at a loss as to how to move forward here! Every which way I turn there is one way or other that im non compliant and getting shot down for it. 1) I only picked up the letter of request from members for the Special General Meeting on Saturday 31st March (I dont go down to the club every day to check post) 2) As soon as received the board have been in discusion trying to arrange this as we only have 28 day from date of the letter which was 22nd March. 3) We issued the initial notice on social media last night after we confirmed that a suitable place was available and all current board members were available. 4) Our next actions was to comply with the standing orders for election (copy attached) which requires us to have an independant committee to deal with this. These people would then issue monination papers, proxies etc. Maybe its not 100% complient to every rule etc, I hold my hands up to that as it was not physically possible with the limited numebr of board members we have to be able to get the notices etc out within the 14 days given to us. So the way forward, miss the 28 day deadline and re-schedule or cary on with that date with the help of members who are not board members? Anybody who wishes to be in the committee for election please come forward as this is our next stumbling block to compliance! Regards Liz MacRae Current Chairperson of CJT 2012_election_policy-1.pdf
  16. Glover, e-mail the address in the opening post and a membership form will be sent to you.
  17. The current board is only in place at present to protect the 10% shareholding. In my view if the people who are currently listed as board members had not stepped up to resolve all the issues there was a real possibility CJT would fold and the shareholding lost. There has been many appeals for people to step forward to take key roles. There has been letters issued, e-mails sent and also posts on here to try and get people to come forward. We have been accused of impropritories however, have been working hand in hand with supporters direct who have confirmed that the board is legitimate. I, as the chair am more than happy to stand down at any time, however, there has been nobody who is willing to take on the role so im stuck. As a lot of you know my personal sircumstaces changed drastically last year following the death of my 16 month old grandson, priorities changed. An EGM can easily be called and the current board totally replaced if thats what is required, however, im not wasting my time organising that if only 20 people turn up and nobody is prepared to take on the roles that are required. The roles that are currently needed to be filled with people who have the time on their hands to deal with everything are: Chairperson Vice Chairperson Treasurer Secretary Membership secretary On top of these roles, general board members are also required. Ahead of the last AGM which unfortunately I could not attend, there were requests for new board members to stand, we got nobody. So all those people who are quick to shoot me and the other office bearers, please feel free to step, e-mail you intention to stand for board membership and we can put the wheels in motion to get CJT back on track. Scotty - anyone who wants to check their current membership position can also e-mail the new CJT e-mail addess in the opening post and it will be confirmed. Liz MacRae
  18. I had promised to keep everyone updated unfortunately, i have had to step back due to the death of my grandson. however, the wheels are in motion and an AGM will be held prior to the football club AGM Notices are currently being sent out with the guidance of supporters direct. we are also looking for people to step forward to fill office bearer roles. please bear will us, but i can assure everything is being done to protect the voting rights of CJT Liz MacRae Chairperson CJT
  19. No, no, no! Bloody Pride of the Highlands again............
  20. Totally agree and without Caley and Thistle, there would be no Inverness Caledonian Thistle
  21. Totally agreed and fully intend to get membership open again prior to AGM, just trying to focus on geting all our current members details updated, get the accounts signed off by the accountant and getting wheels in motion for new office bearers and AGM date set. Once all of that is completed we will get membership open.
  22. There are over 700 members registered, we need these members to help us, either by being board members or by turning up at AGMs etc. As you say its our club, we have a voice, lets use it.
  23. I could reply to all the points but I will just pick up on the keys points so people know that things are happening: With regards to item *1 - the rules that were given authority at the agm were rejected by the FCA. Unfortunately errors were made and there were contradicting rules. The FCA also rejected them as a they were not signed by a notary public or a solicitor at the time. I ony joined the board last year and this as well as getting the annual returns going back to 2012 filed was the main job I took on. Having been rejected by the FCA, Supporters Direct are assisting with getting the rules rectified, these can then be authorised at the next AGM and submitted in the correct manor to the FCA. The annual returns for 2016 and 2017 can also be passed at the AGM allowing the annual returns to be submitted. With regards to membership, Suporters Direct advised that the best thing we should do first before having the AGM was to estable membership. This is what we are trying to do with the renewal forms. This is really important to do as we do require a more active membership. The last AGM only just met quorum. We are working very hard to get an AGM arranged and the process will be started in the next couple of weeks. Any help or assistance would be greatly appreciated. A new board is needed due to several members on the current board having served for 12 years. Don claims one member is over their maximum permissable terms, however, upon checking these are recomendations made by supporters direct and not actual rules. The long established board members are more than happy to stand down, however, their positions are required to be filled.
  24. that would be great, I will get the letter and the renewal form to you.
  25. once the renewal process is completed we will open up again to new members.
