Barry was the most likely of anyone to create something today. May not have found his target but i hardly saw Imrie do any better on the opposite flank.
  2. This is quite amusing. If the players had such respect for Brewster they wouldn't have been swearing and shouting back at him all the time on Wednesday. Also you have provided little evidence to suggest Brewster should still be the man in charge. His current results gained as a manager this year certainly don't suggest he is the right man for the job. The way he has handled such players as Dennis Wyness and John Rankin certainly don't suggest he is the right man for the job. Plus the way he and Ian Black fall in and out with one another like a pair of young bairns certainly suggests he is poor at handling certain personailtys. All this and yet you say he is the right man for the job....but this is just my opinion.
  3. "Inverness Caledonian Thistle striker Adam Rooney says his mum's Irish stew is behind his side's resurgence in form after introducing his team-mates to her cooking. (Daily Record)" That must be some stew. Sounds like the whole team could use it, not just some.

Yogi is without question the most entertaining manager on a dugout in Scotland. Never afraid to say what he thinks. And you can hear him in the north stand . He is a true classic.

It was sad to see him wasting his talent away in the Celtic reserves 3 weeks ago. Good to see he will get a run in he team now. But if Celtic do sign Zaluska that suggests he will get relegated to 3rd choice keeper. After watching Falkirk and Hibs idea of goalkeeping over the last few days i'm sure they would like a look at Brown so it may not be all doom and gloom for Marky if Boruc's Polish companion joins him in January.

It dosen't suprise me at all. Brewster was very animated the other night and the fact that we were playing so poorly meant that tension was setting in. I think alot of the first team have lacked respect for Brew since he returned.
  7. The last time i saw Barrowman start was against Killie a month ago and he was really impressive. Gave their back four a torrid time and didnt just score but created a bit as well. Combine that to Rooneys decent finishing and we have a fairly good striker force, what they lack in experience they make up for with energy and enthusiasm. If we were to get an experienced striker in January to increase competition that can only make them better players imo.
  8. Esson Tokely, Proctor, Munro, Hastings Wilson, Cowie, Black, Imrie Barrowman, Rooney Subs: Fraser, Djebi-Zadi, Duff, Zander, Vigurs, Wood, McBain.
  9. Point was well merited in the 2nd half. The midfield looked ridiculous in the first half, Duncan is meant to be our sitting midfielder but i didn't see him make a tackle at all and Wood had the thankless task of being lone striker. I felt rather sorry for Esson as im sure he thought his defence would have cleared the ball leading up to the goal as it was an incredibly sloppy goal to concede. Higdon was given way too much time to turn and shoot. In fairness to Brew in the 2nd half he noticed this and made the double change at half time (something i've never seen him do). I was so happy to see Bazza get on as well. Would love to see him start on Saturday. Would like to see Rooney again on Saturday but partnered by Barrowman. Also anyone else see Djebi-Zadi in the snack bar line at half-time??

I wonder if Brews may'be doing this to try and get some sort of a reaction from Hastings. He has been incredibly complacent this season at times. The only reason Djebi-Zadi hasn't played is because he has been hurrendous for the reserves at times. Certainly when i saw him. Although he did have one or two positive sides too him, he is a very different style of defender to Dicky.

If Brew were ever to go with Imrie up front which he has done on occasions this season, surely he could slot Zander in that left-wing position. He would certainly do a better job there than McBain imo. He looked impressive during pre-season and obviously his time on loan at Elgin helped. Brew said the youngsters would all get a chance this season. So he should may'be give the little man a shout.
  12. It's annoying that Vigurs, Duff and Wood get overlooked despite starting many games this season, yet they decide to pick people like Rory Loy who only made his senior Rangers debut last week.

I think i would have to go with McGuire. Yes he can be a bit of a plonker but he is arguably the most experienced defender we have, although he does very little to show it. But he is tough and is very competitive...he is also good at having an eye for goal from set plays as he has had a few chances this season...taking one of them. Duff is good aswell but has plenty of growing and time to develope, i think he is excellent cover and will eventually develope into a first-team regular. Proctor is too finely built to be a centre-back. Decent right-back and decent cover on the right-wing...but not centre back.

Stupid idea in my view. What Luke McCormick did was unforgivabe and it is nice to know he has mates that are sticking by him...but the whole world dosen't need to know about it.

Yet another one of Brewsters old chums that needs help. He's an ok player but terribly inconsistent. He was one of the Dons players who couldn't agree a new contract which is why he left. Dosen't look good for Djebi-Zadi if this is the case. He has only been here 4 months, yet he may already be getting the boot.

Esson Tokely, Proctor, Munro, Hastings Cowie, Duncan, Black, Imrie Wood, Barrowman subs. Fraser, Djebi-Zadi, Duff, Wilson, McBain, Vigurs, Rooney.
  17. Alot of Brewsters choices are mind-baffling. The only wide player i would consider playing on both sides is Vigurs. He looks fairly comfy with both feet. I don't even think Dougie Imrie is a very good wide-player...his best position is defnitely when deployed just behind a striker. Cowie is ok but i have watched him play in the middle and he looks even better there at times. I hope we get a new wide player come January as we are lacking one thats consistent.
  18. So pleasing to see us win so convincingly and save a penalty which as a fan i have never seen or heard us achieve. Lets follow this up by getting some points of the Bairns and the Jambos.
  19. I think Esson playing is a good idea, i think changes need to be made after last week. Mike had an off game and Esson has played well in the cup games....so in my view its a good choice.

Its ashame because Zander has always looked very promising in his cameo appearences. Also on the few times he played in pre-season he looked fairly encouraging.....couldn't care less about Rory , he is a drunken waste of space. Cowie hasn't exactly looked the best out wide this season so i would give him or Barry a shout....especially considering he has just 2 months on his current deal left.
  21. Esson Tokely, Duff, Munro, Hastings Wilson, Cowie, Black, Vigurs Imrie, Barrowman subs. Fraser, Djebi-Zadi, McGuire, Zander, Duncan, Wood, Rooney
  22. His deal does expire at the end of the season....unless he is sacked in which case its pre-matuer. I've tried phoning into Jim Traynor on 2 or 3 occasions but it has proved to be unsuccessful....im yet to hear an Inverness fan on the show, ever.
  23. AJS replied to chris123's topic in Caley Thistle
Just out of intrest is Zanders deal expiring in the summer??
  24. Reason behind the suggestion of Foran is that his contract with Southend is up at the end of season. As is McPake at Livingston. Also out of intrest Robbie Winters has left SK Brann....to return to Scotland.
  25. I would try and get James McPake to fill the space for big defender, or may'be take a look at Brent Sancho, i think he is still without a club. In terms of a new wide player would may'be try for Dorrans again...a year on after first trying. Or Owen Morrison who i read is looking for a club, was a good player for Dunfermline. New strikers well the idea of Robbie Winters is pritty good, but i think we should go for Richie Foran as i heard he wants to return north. To top it off Sean Higgins contract is up at the end of the season and i think another County steal would prove a good peace of buisness, considering Higgins is a decent player.
