  1. I agree with Johnboy. Having seen it from were i was sitting it looked a clean tackle and Fernandez simply throwing himself a couple of yards. And after watching it on Sportscene i didn't see anything any different. What a rubbish article, trying to give a negative outlook on Pavels.
  2. Esson Tokely, Mihadjuks, Munro, Djebi-Zadi Odhiambo, Kerr, Duncan, Vigurs Imrie, Foran bench: Fraser, Byrne, McGuire, Zander, McBain, Wood, Rooney

    Foran

This is ridiculous How can we sum up a player who has barely kicked a ball this season in 2 games?? Honestly. He needs time to get match fit and he also needs to get played in his favoured role of being up front. Vigurs on the left, Imrie and Foran up front i say. I think he will become a good player for us after a few games.
  4. If your referring to Bob Malcolms free-kick back in October then your referring to a foul that Russell Duncan gave away. That was a week after McGuire injured his ankle against Celtic. So he wasn't even in the squad.
  5. Defnitely not. He was playing not too badly before he got injured back in October, and now that he's back i think it would be wrong to get rid of him now. He is an experienced defender as well so he provides decent cover for Pavels and Munro. Proctor's no centre-back and Jamie Duff is still rather young so no, not time for McGuire to go. Not while we only have 3 centre-backs.

  7. If only it had taken place on the Saturday. Then i would have been there.
  8. Guus Hiddink and Avram Grant (!!!!) on the shortlist, according to Sky Sports news. Avram Grant?? And i used to think we lacked ambition. Must admit i am not all that suprised to see him go. While Scolari has been in charge they have lost there everlasting home record, dropped to many points against teams around them and teams below.
  9. As long as the ball hits the back of the net and we actually win games consistently i'm happy. But he does appear to get more out of his players. In just 2 games we've seen things we never thought we would see. Like a decent performance from Djebi-Zadi or back to back clean sheets, so whatever he is doing it seems to be working. I think he is slightly more old fashioned, adopting the traditional roll the sleeves up and get on with it kind of attitude. All i can say to it is keep it up.
  10. Fernandez is a diving whinge and attention seeker. Defnitely wasn't a penalty on Saturday, possibly a foul but even then Fernandez threw himself an extra couple of yards to try and go into the area, or what he saw of it. I have no time for him whatsoever. Talented footballer but unfortunately for the former Celtic reject his play-acting overshadows it, severely.

    Djebi-zadi

Should have been MOTM on Saturday, easily. I think the more he plays the better he will get, certainly can't see Hastings simply walking back into his position like he used too. And with Richie Byrne here as well that can only make it even more competitive.
  12. Esson Tokely, Munro, Mihadjuks, Djebi-Zadi Morais, Black, Duncan, Vigurs Foran, Imrie subs: Fraser, McGuire, McBain, Byrne, Rooney
  13. Am i right in thinking its Butcher who wanted this meeting? Either way its still great to see a manager taking time to actually tell fans about his ambitions for the club. I'm feeling more confident about staying up now anyway.
  14. Despite a relatively dissapointing end to his ICT career i always thought Golabek was a decent left back in his time at ICT.
  15. A player who has truly fallen from grace.
  16. I would imagine the pair of them are plotting a way of permanently ending his playing career. :thumb04:
  17. Might be more to get in touch with younger fans.
  18. Pat Niven
  19. Can understand why Butch went with it because before Saturday the last time Imrie and Barrowman were up front was when we won our only home game vs Killie. I agree with IHE he has shown on occasions before that he has the pace and determination of a wide-player. Only downfall is his crossing, he never looks to cross the ball.
  20. Martyn Corrigan would be good. An experienced head would add to our improving back-line.
  21. McNulty made a couple of howlers in the 2 games i saw him play for the u'19s and from what i hard hasn't improved much at Elgin. Was looking at keepers that were available or never playing and noticed a few possibilitys. Graeme Smith(not Motherwell) Rangers current 3rd choice keeper and has been for nearly 2 seasons after joining them from Kilmarnock were he had dislodged Alan Combe as number 1 at the time. May be worth launching a bid for him with Rangers always looking to trim fringe players. Kelvin Jack Trinidad & Tobago international, played at the world cup with them in 2006. Used to play for Dundee and Gillingham. Suffered a broken leg while on trial at Barnsley and has been without a club since July i think. I think he's still in the UK so he may be worth a shot. Andy McNeil I'm not his biggest fan but he played really well for Hibs when they were up here in August and i believe he is leaving Hibs at the end of the season. Any thoughts? Sander Westerveld This guy's a real long shot and probably wouldn't give us a 2nd look but i know he's a free agent too after being released by some Dutch 2nd division team and has struggled to hold down a place for a couple of seasons. He helped Liverpool win the treble in 2001 but since then his career has spiralled a bit. You'll probably think i'm crazy for suggesting him but the only reason i did is he is available.

    Don Cowie

I'm just glad we got money for at least one of the 3 PCA players. Anythings better than nothing.
  23. He can play right wing as well and given the pace he allegdly has thats no bad thing. Good to see Kerr and Byrne get some much needed playing time. If anywhere near fit enough i would love to see them involved in some capacity on Saturday.
  24. If we stay up it would be great to point the finger at them and say we were right. Looking forward to the closing stages of the season
  25. The squad looks so much stronger now, even with Cowie gone. Everything looks promising and i'am really looking forward to seeing the team in action come Saturday vs Killie. Hats of to i fine 4 days work from Terry.
