I really don't know why Setanta exist. There a complete con. They were still charging me even after i finished using them. The only SPL games they show can be good...but the majority are just Old Firm games romping wee teams. They also have the worst pundits...Frank Macavennie and Graham Speirs( we especially dont care what he has too say ). Even the SNP don't like Setanta. I wish the BBC got the live games back.
  2. We've been down this road before. Plus after watching his air kick against us i would be reluctant to have him. Plus he always thinks he is top dog for Hibs....Brewster would probably play him on his blind side anyway
  3. She's turning clockwise for me.
  4. Totally agree. Cowie is a key player in the team...although if we give him the wage he wants im sure Russell Duncan will be up in arms about his contract .
  5. Unfortunately we are a selling club. Although the pervious year we got no money for our best players. But i suppose this is what happens to SPL clubs in our state. You have a highly capable player, sooner or later he gets snapped up by the old firm or a team down south. Dods, Dargo and Brown did it (although we got a fee for Brown only). Rankin did it, and so did Niculae and Bayne. I think it's past the old days where we brought 2 or 3 in a year and 3 or 4 went out and the heart of the squad was kept as intact as possible. I don't think Caley Thistle quite realise yet that were past that stage the longer we remain an SPL team. I think realistically if we carry on loosing players the rate we have the last year or so we realistically need 5 players at the minimum...but i do know thats hard for us financially and we are beginning to produce some top youth players. Oh how i wish an Oil tycoon from the middle east could give us 32.5 million to spend.
  6. If ?50,000 was all Birmingham were looking for to sell Aluko i wish we had at least looked at him. That was well within our range and he would have been an excellent wide-player for us....he reaked havoc on us last time he played up here.
  7. I have sympathy for Brewster as he was told there would be money to spend in the summer although the only player actually bought for a fee was Rooney. McPake...or MacKay for that matter would be excellent signings although come January a pre-contract would be a terrific peice of buisness should we still want McPake and he want to come here. The fact that teams either side of the border are now touting over Cowie suggests to me it's going to be very hard to keep him. I think we can prepare ourselves for more transfer activity here come new year.
  8. He said on MFR it is unlikely but he is trying. I think he needs to try a bit harder...we can't survive long term on what we have just now.
  9. Still a long way to go but 2 wins out of a possible 4 is not so bad. Put it this way it beats the hellish start to last season.
  10. I would rather have Canning than McCracken to be honest. Has anyone actually been linked with us today??
  11. Noticed they have been thrown of the Mixu wagon to get Bamba. Kerr could be good cover for Duncan and Canning would be handy because he is 6'2 and is a centre-back, also ex-county. Should Brew go for them?
  12. I got interviewed for it on Thursday...but i never heard it. Anyone hear it?

    new at ict

Defnitely a new shop...its kind of embarassing having a little portable shack outside the ground for a shop and i am kind of suprised the club have left it for that long. I wouldn't mind us opening up a small one in town. I would find it very hard to detach from the Caledonian Stadium as there are so many fond memories.
  14. Keep Vigurs in the team as it would be a very rare excuse to keep Russell Duncan out of the team . I don't see Duff becoming a regular quite yet but give him a year or so and i think he will be there.
  15. Dods didnt play but Leveins real tight about who he lets go. McCracken would be decent. Wouldn't mind a natrual right winger that can cross either...we will see what happens though.
  16. Good for Hastings. I suppose it's us he has to thank because wasn't he out of the national squad for a while and we helped him resurrected his international career? Whats Xausa doing now?...i know he isnt playing anymore.
  17. I think Russell Duncans a burden in our midfield and has been for a wee while. Although he produces some spectacular strikes he is generally very sloppy in both his passing and control of the ball, he also has a bad habit of opening his mouth at the wrong time. Plus he thinks he is better than he is like with that contract fiasco and Brewster said it wasn't affecting him..well for me he was our worst player sometimes at that point. Put it this way he dosen't make my first team squad.
  18. He was ok for Utd as i recall...and to be honest i think any defender thats beyond 6 ft is better than McGuire.
  19. Size does matter and i understand the decision but thats the 3rd winger weve said no too this summer. Its beginning to get a tad ridiculous...personally i would take that Liverpool number 7 on loan. He looked very good last week.
  20. I think it's cos were so well known for going back...Wyness, Wilson, Hastings, Proctor, Brewster. And they have all done/did a decent job since returning i suppose...so why can't one of our best renowned defenders come back and do just as good a job as he did?
  21. There doing themselves no harm at the moment...since when did BBC show live matches online?
  22. Until you can quote a newspaper or sports website this remains a rumour to me..theres nothing in our local websites (although ICTFC.co.uk is pritty useless). or newspapers today....and it's not that i dont want him back..i really do.
  23. I must admit we do have some of the most heavy handed stewards in the league...i've been to a few away games now and none of them are as bad as ours...in fact there quite good crack. The fact that there has been very little too chear about at the last 2 home games may be a result of lack of atmoshpere.
  24. I think had we started off poorer against Aberdeen the crowd would have been even smaller against Hamilton and maybe even yesterday. I think when the teams doing not so good some of our fans have a bad habit of shying away perhaps...although in my view were doing not too bad. I suppose also there was a slight lack of atmosphere yesterday..which was suprising. I've got too be honest i was not that suprised with the attendances over the last 2 games.
  25. If we were to sign him we could get him on loan for the 6 months and if it works out get him on a pre-contract as his deal expires next summer. Or perhaps Dundee Utd will let him go straight away.
