Christian Kalvenes was Brews signing at Dundee United and look at what sort of a player he turned out to be. Scandanavia has brought some great players into the SPL in the past. Mayb'e we should be looking over there for possible players. Milne would be a good edition but not Buchanan due to some off his problems of the pitch. Scott Cuthbert or Darren O' Dea would be ok i suppose. But Considine....paired up with McGuire .

Tom Brightons a striker and never reached a more than a 5 goal a season tally in his life and Robb spends more time on an injury table than a football field. How are they good signings? Only good signing Saints made was Jack Ross and even then he's nearly 32. If we get even a point in a positive manner at Pittodrie on Saturday i think that will set us in good sights for the Hamilton and Hibs games. Our squad still needs real strengthening though!

I don't really see why they were looked on as regular goalscorers because neither of them were paticuarly prolific for any of there previous clubs. Although in saying that i suppose Dargo wasn't when we signed him and look what we brought out in him. I always saw Niculae as more of an inspirational player if you know what i mean, he always had an extra trick or two or that sharper insntinct and he always tryed to make something happen...if he had been sharper in front of goal and we all know he had plenty chances a player of his standards should put away to add to his tally he would have been looked upon as an even better player...mayb'e even gone for more money. Deano at the end of the day was just a waste of a wadge. I think people say we need a replacment for Marius because he was quite a creative striker and he had more chance of competing for long balls and such.

Teletext are rather unreliable for any Scottish team apart from the old firm. Thats how you could tell Niculae was going to Dinamo because the day he did it said on Teletext we had a rejected an offer from Dinamo for him.

I'm not saying HE is considering move to either of those places. But those are the only teams intrested in him right now. And if u mean the extending his say part then yes he did. He gave an interview in the courier about 2 months ago saying he wasn't intrested in doing anything other than staying at Caley.

I think we will be ok. If we get an experienced striker and another centre-back we should be decent enough. Personally i think St Mirren will go down. There players are either too old or not good enough and there manger shows very little ambition for them.

I seriously doubt that tis guy is in the same boat as Niculae for wages. If he's worth it i say go for him. I don't think work permit will be an issue. I hear he is a regular player.

Who cares if wer going off topic. Im sure your size came in very handy Don. But if that paticular back 4 gets caught on a counter or a 3 on 4 situation it probably couldnt cope. Plus i think the likes of Aiden McGeady are slightly better than the guy you took on....and i have seen you before.

Could you also imagine how slow a back four it would be. If they came up against McGeady it would be like watching the tortoise and the hare..except the hare would win.

I dont think he is the type of striker we need. He would be a great signing and i think it's a good idea. But we really need a target man that can win long balls and compete we centre halfs. Barrowman and Rooney cant do that.

Cowie would be fully committed to ICT right up until his contract runs out. There is nothing wrong with him wanting to take the next step up in his career if he feels ready for it and doesn't want to remain at ICT. He wouldn't suddenly stop trying in any game he played in. He would still play his heart out up until he leaves (in a hypothetical scenario with us) like he did with County the other season. Thats not the point. Point is 1 minute he says he wants to stay and extend his stay, the next minute he considers heading to Easter Road or Pittodrie.

Why is it that clubs around us in the league make better signings. :007: Falkirk for instance have Burton O'Brien and Steve Lovell, it cant all boil down to location can it? There wages cant be that different to ours.
