  1. Ryan christie was also bundled off the ball quite easily but IMO ibulking up is not the answer, If you do bulk up you slow down and then lose the fast part of your game. Both Ross and Christie are excellent players Polworth and Pepper also need more playing time. We are safe from relegation so there is no better chance to do this.
  2. Robson on a good day could have won this by himself, if we had played it open we would have been two down by half time, good tactics in my opinion game changed when foran was booked and he then stopped tackling for fear of getting sent off. Impressed with yogi for giving Ryan Christie a chance and feel optimistic for a future ict that has him and nick Ross in it. Great day out but it wasn't to be and losing to the sheep will always sting, but as the title says a right good do, I honestly thought on recent form it was going to be a drubbing of Bon accord proportions.

    Did you drop your spoon.
  4. This is the first time I have heard 35k referred to as measly or paltry especially as our crowd figures have rarely gotten over 4,000 all season. Yes we got compensation from hibs but this is because we lost three people that have been instrumental in building and guiding a team to 2nd in the SPL as good as Hartley he is still unproven in the SPL. and 35k will always be a lot of money btw. If it was between Hughes and Hartley then Hughes obviously wanted it more and this is good enough for me. When Butcher was appointed we got lots of ominous warnings from Brentford fans, we have had no such messages from Hartlepool fans. one more thing if the eagles is in the know as it seems he is, he really should stop stirring the ***** on here.
  5. Not Levien or Sheils is good enough for me, would have given Hartley a go but not that dissapointed with Yogi. Really really wanted Kevin Macdonald and I suspect that this is what bennet left over. Kenny Cameron can only play with the cards he has got and he has played well enough so far. It's not his fault that we are in this predicament so whinging wont help. Yogi is a character and I think will raise morale and of course he will take no shyte from the fool over the bridge. What is of more concern to me is the infighting in our boardroom - Bennet didn't leave for nothing and I reckon Hartleys bodyswerve is connected to this also. Expect to see Hartley managing Kilmarnock or St Johnstone soon as they are both on a shoogly peg also.
  6. Impressed with Kenny Camerons statement he sounds like a fan first, chairman second. Perhaps butcher wanted a new challenge and to be fair his stock will never be this high again. although why he didn't hang on for a big money move down south I don't know. Quite glad Malpas didn't stay as Manager because I don't think he enjoys the limelight and it would be terrible to watch him crumble like he did at well. Does anyone know if Marsella has stayed.
  7. If Marsella stays give him a shot as manager, or assistant manager with Kevin macdonald. Or butcher stays, the future is still rosy either way.
  8. Got to be Kevin Macdonald, dont think butcher would go to hibs but if he can take Mo and Kinsella he would be daft to pass up middlesborough. Good luck to him either way, loyalty is all very well but if we were sitting 11th people would be calling for his head. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_MacDonald_%28footballer%29

  10. hard to believe that Renegade is blaming butcher for Relegation when his beloved tokely got himself sent off! also criticising him for playing fraser who is now no1 for county! It wasn't that long ago that we were on that unbeaten run that county are now enjoying, and i still have happy memories of dancing on the pitch when we won promotion. Personally i beleive we should keep him for as long as we can, without him we would have had none of the irish lads and ask Andrew shinnie if he ruled with an iron fist when he visited him in hospital. you have short memories and even shorter fuses.
  11. what yngwie said, if you pressured Kenny Cameron than put your money where your mouth is, otherwise he has no reason to believe you the next time you stamp your feet. I wasn't happy with his statement beause it looked like he was trying to pave the way for a spl u-turn, happily this is not the case and i do not grudge the club my Season Ticket money even though I will only make a handfull of games.
  12. Bought my first ever season ticket, becasue I was impressed with Kenny Camerons integrity and I wanted to support the team and now he issues this rubbsh, still glad I supported the team but the chairman can go and, well you know the rest.
  13. new Rangers going down to div 3 would allow other teams to grow and challenge for 2nd so by the time they get back up the league it would be a lot more competitive. I personally am angry that they were not paying their tax, yet spending millions on players which forced celtic to do the same and thus turned the SPL into the Old Firm show. It is also frustrating that nobody at ibrox has even admitted they were wrong. But caley thistle fans most of all should know the heartache felt when a team you follow all your life is closed by some dodgy moneymen. saying that I doubt a glasgow merger is on the cards.
  14. I think it very much depends upon the kind of player that he gets in, if he goes for pre madonnas or sh*t stirrers then team moral will be affected. After the Brewster years the team spirit we have now is down to Butcher and the quickest way to affect this is to start interfering in it. I too am sorry to see Grant Munro go the same way I am sorry to see McBain and Gollabek go these are local boys who have a bond with the team. I would however be more sorry to see Johnny Hayes or Nick Ross go. It's worth remembering what was left of our team spirit by the time Butcher took over, with the chip shop run and away days he has given the team the heart and the spirit they currently have so If he wants to tinker with it he can.
  15. Its a shame it was so cold as I think you would have had a lot more turnout. Roy has always been very dependable and for a manager, having someone that you can bring on in confidence must be a great feeling. Fair play to the legends side as they were excellent, including Brewster, booing any player is unacceptable esecially as they gave up their free time to be there. I had forgotten how good sheerin was and cc has still got the touches, although when the legends defence needed shoring up you would have thought Pele would have given butcher or malpas a shot! of the ICT team chambers was outstanding as was polworth. Fair play to the coaches as the youth team were badly affected when we went to div 1. As far as the bickering goes it might be an idea to have a time delay on continually posting on the same thread.
  16. We would not have won this game if we had eleven strikers the only option was to defend and it nearly worked. If he had played miller or a normal formation we would be looking at 4-1 or worse. Really impressed with the team keeping their formation like that oh and not one of those picked has complained about the tactics. Its gonna be a long time before hartley gets another game, I reckon. The same tactic will not work with spain as they are just too good therefore hopefully we will get a good showing then, but Levein has scotland playing as a team if he can get them all running in the other direction imagine what we could acheive. Oh and they should all be born on a croft, eat nothing but shortbread and drink Irn-bru.
  17. barry ferguson is not as talented as he thinks he is and there are better scottish players in the english leagues, Dorrans for example, He began to pick and choose his games and he should have been dropped then. Paul Mcstay was an excellent player and does not deserve to be mentioned in the same context as barry ferguson.
  18. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/a/aston_villa/8898993.stm Well done to Kevin MacDonald ex caley, the job will probably go to an overpaid foreigner but its one for the history books none the less.

If Esson continues last years form but in the SPL it is only a matter of time before a bigger team comes in and makes a bid for him. I think he was probably expecting a bid at the end of last season.
  20. I am really puzzled as to why he didn't choose a goalkeeper till 2 hours before. A goalkeeper needs to have good communication with the defenders and the defenders need to have faith in their keeper. Personally I would let Michael Fraser in Goal before putting James anywhere near. Joe Hart should have got the nod and a lot sooner than two hours before, but now he has made a commitment with green he should honour it. One game is not enough to go on, one goal let in is not that bad and he made amends with that save in the second half. why not give Rooney pelters for not even looking like he could score.
  21. Contentious issue I know but to me a season ticket is just that for one season and there should be no guarantee that you will get the same seat again anyway. It is not outragous treatment by the club they are doing there best to accomodate everybody. if the people involved don't want to move and the club forces them or just refuses to sell them a ticket then, maybe it would be unfair, but just asking people nicely should not bring forward a tirade of abuse or for that matter the need to involve the P&J.
  22. Got it yesterday thanks to all involved very professional production and very efficently parcelled and distributed.
  23. I was pleased that a 1st division team beat Celtic it furthers the cause for a bigger SPL. I am also pleased that both highland teams are doing well, just as I would be if any of the highland league clubs came into the 3rd division and were doing well. I cannot bring myself to want County to win the Scottish cup before us but it would be one hell of an acheivement. It has been good to be in the same league as them this season I have enjoyed the derby days again and I personally wish the Spl was made bigger as it would be a lot more exciting with ICT, County, Dundee and Queen of the south in it. To the usual suspects who were attacking the original posters point of view you are no better than the old firm bigots. Telford Street was a long long time ago I personally disliked Thistle much more than County but those days are gone now. This team is not caley or thistle both those teams are finished, ICT is a new team for anybody in Inverness and if the younger generation are going to hate county let them do it for there own reasons.
  24. http://www.youtube.com/user/ANDYNKAJ#p/u/4/fCdVSNvs33U If this is the same andyknaj on you tube then he is already a bloody god, and ICT should sign him up for a yearly dvd.
