  1. Aye, we'd all happily sit at our work and listen to people hurling abuse at us without reacting because it would be "unprofessional" to do so!!! Right or wrong, we all have our breaking point when it comes to suffering the opinions of fools. You'd have to be a total moron to think that it's acceptable to live your life that way, and that it won't have repercussions. This was not Terry reacting to a single comment, this was him reacting to one of a few people who are in his ear week in, week out and who never have anything positive to contribute. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but if/when you give it then you are also entitled to the response.
  2. Amazing how some fans think it's perfectly acceptable for fans to sit and shout abuse at anyone (be they on the pitch or at pitch side) for 90 minutes without recrimination...yet the moment one of those people reacts they are some kind of disgrace.
  3. Our "Prime Target" is/was always 11th with anything else being a bonus. Anything other than that is a goal. Seems that some of our fans are letting our success so far this season go to their heads and expectations are getting a little out of control.
  4. Yeah, can imagine restrictions on enamel badges...it was the button ones I was on about. I was just wondering if the button badges were a case of printing the image onto the necessary material and if that material posed any issues when it came to fine detail and things.
  5. That's quite laughable, and a true sign that you are either havering or need a new "source". You'd be hard pushed to find a more likeable, pleasant young man...and given how many of them we have at the club right now, that's same something. Here's a challenge for you. Instead of using your expertise to rip the team, players, management and club apart....why not try using them to explain why we have done so well, to date, this season!!!
  6. BornCaley, is their any restriction in terms of image quality etc or can pretty much anything that can be printed go onto a badge?
  7. Never said your post was ignorant (or never intended too). It merely referenced not liking someone and I was just pointing out (to others) that disliking someone wasn't an "ism" in itself.
  8. I know that was said in jest, but it highlights the ignorance that exists in regards to the whole "ism" thing (not necessarily on your part, just using this as an example). It is possible to dislike something without being intolerant of it. I don't have a particular liking for any religion, but that doesn't mean I don't respect or tolerate the beliefs and or actions of those who do. The last I checked, it wasn't illegal to walk down the street with a placard that says "I hate religion".....and until you cross the line into something like "I hate religion and all religious people should be shot"....i.e. intolerance....then you have nothing to fear from the law. Songs/Chants such as those being discussed above may be in bad taste, and I would agree with that, but that doesn't make them a crime. It's pretty much the same as some of the shouts that were coming from the other end. Butcher was getting called for all sorts and the Gazza stuff was pretty rough....again, bad taste and not welcome (IMO), but not criminal. Best thing to do with these things is to totally ignore them and not give them any "air time", because the majority of people partaking in it are only doing so to either big themselves up to their peers and/or to get a bit of attention. Take that away and they have no reason to do it and will soon get bored.
  9. At least Boo Boys at the stadium are (mostly) just silly laddies who don't any better. Sadly the same can't be said for some of those on here!!!
  10. I got my pronunciation from the man himself!!!
  11. Was the main culprit in the North Stand wearing a hat which made him stand out a bit in the crowd?
  12. Not sure why the thread is in the Rumour Mill as it's true.....but the thread is here - http://caleythistleonline.com/topic/26368-ben-greenhalgh/
  13. Need to be careful with taking player poses from photographs without permission (although I am sure CaleyJags.com would assist)....you're stepping into the realms of derivative works and it's more grief than it's worth. We've always tried to keep a good relationship with photographers etc as they've been good to us on CTO over the years by providing stuff for our use on the site. Maybe speak to the lad who does the Caricatures though...!!! Would be especially interested in a price for the Caley Jags Together logo....
  14. Drop me an e.mail to [email protected] - some examples and prices would be good. Ta.
  15. I'm reliably informed that Ryan Reguero will be playing in goal for us this weekend.
  16. Can only assume it was a tad wet given the snow/rain we've had. Putting covers on this early in the week for Saturday wouldn't have done the grass any favours either...so sacrifice this game for the good of the pitch and getting game on at the weekend...no brainer.
  17. Our next game is Celtic at home....midday kick-off.
  18. Please be advised that the scheduled U20 match against St Johnstone tomorrow at 1pm has been cancelled.
  19. I think we should have them both in the starting XI and they can do tag team.
  20. Jonny Hayes had a bit of a breakdown on Twitter tonight as well.....claiming they would get 2nd in the league https://twitter.com/jonnyhayes7
  21. That must be a fecking kick in the teeth after the effort you've gone to record it! Not really, the videos still get used internally for coaching/training. They've even been used for looking at how players have picked up injuries...I believe they were extremely useful when looking at what happened with Hogg. Then there's red card incidents where the club can get a proper look to see if appeals would hold up. As we record in full HD, we can provide extreme close ups as and when needed....footage provided from other sources doesn't lend itself to being used for that. It also becomes part of the club archives, and we now have footage of just about every game going back a few seasons. Finally....if/when it ever comes to producing club DVD's or video displays/demonstrations in future, then we don't need to purchase use someone elses footage. e.g. When the Supporters Trust did the Feb 8th 2000 DVD, it cost thousands for the footage!!!
  22. Seriously poor reporting (or spin) by the BBC....yet again. What was said is that players "COULD BE out for a few weeks", but that is a worst case and until they are properly looked at and assessed then it's all conjecture. I believe both player will be resting up and icing until Monday before that assessment takes place. This seems to be pretty standard procedure as it allows any initial swelling/bruising to calm down a bit. It could just as easily turn out that Andy had little more than a bad cramp and Foran got a bit of a twist and they could both be back for Saturday....Mckay and OTJ being in the same boat. Personally, I'd be all for Terry telling the press all four were doubtful for next Saturday, regardless. Maybe put Celtic off guard and tempt them to send a "weakened" starting XI....so don't be surprised if injury updates are vague/non existent in the coming week.
  23. Due to a late change to Scottish Cup media rights, it's not logistically or financially viable for the ICT media team to provide any video from this game.
  24. Sometimes things just don't go for you...despite best endeavours. I was heartbroken for the team last week. We matched a team with far greater resources than us for 120 minutes and then lose the game on a single kick of the ball. Similar feelings today. We were a little out of sorts in the final third, but you have to give credit to the team for still managing to get chances despite losing two of the teams most influential players to injury early on. What's important is that nobody panics and tries to make it out to be more than it is....and full credit to the travelling fans today who showed real support for the team by staying to clap every one of them off the park at full time.
  25. Would love to see him sign for St Mirren.
