You say in one breath that what players do in training doesn't count for anything....then in the next you make a case for a player who has yet to make his debut and who's performance you rank as being clearly better based on nothing more than what you have seen in what is effectively training games. How does that work?

Not ideal, but really not possible to have done anything else, IMO.

That law is/was due to be ammended again with the introduction of new fonts, relaxing the spacing issue and a few other things....no idea where they are at in that process though.

As was discussed at the fans forum the other night..... We can't expect out players to be going out and playing slick passing football when they rarely get the chance to play it at club level. Until such time as we get a grip of Scottish football and start promoting the kind of game at domestic level that we want to see/demand at national level, then we'll little or no progress.

Here's a really "out there" idea....perhaps Terry plays the lad because he's actually earned his place in the team?

Unless we get a good offer for anyone I think we'll be keeping everyone. Certainly nobody I can think we'd want to offload.

The only thing colt teams will do is increase the stranglehold that Rangers and Celtic have when it comes to stealing fans away from supporting their local teams. It would do more to kill the game in Scotland than anything we have seen to date.

Don't forget, this is nothing more than a proposal being put forward by the SFL....I'm not even sure it's been put to the SFL member clubs yet. This is the problem you get when the media pick up a part story and are more desperate to have an "exclusive" than have all the facts lined up and presented properly, accurately and in context. It's exactly this kind of thing that led to so much misinformation and bs with the Rangers fiasco during the summer. The whole "colts" thing has been muted and rejected so many times before I've lost count...there's nothing to suggest it will be any different this time round, and the only reason the SFL are suggesting it is because they've now had a taste of the money that comes with one half of the OF and they see an opportunity to try and retain some of it. Exactly the kind of thing they have (rightly) criticised the SPL for in the past.

Talk of another Rangers situation is just hype....and the situation is quite a bit different. For a start, they only have debts equating to something like £15 million (if you include what is being claimed by HMRC). If Hearts go into administration then they are deducted 17 points (based on new rules put in place over the summer)....they would not be sent to Div 3. That only happened to Rangers because they moved the club into a new company. Here's what I think might happen........ 1. Hearts will go into administration. 2. That allows them to, legally, get rid of all the high earners....or renegotiate lower salaries. 3. Those owed the most (Romanov) will force through a CVA agreeing full payment. 4. Hearts will exit administration and continue as before till the end of the season...perhaps with a couple of million in the bank from the Share issue. 5. All of the above will happen prior to end of January, allowing them to then sign a player or two in the window....on lower wages. 6. They will avoid relegation because Dundee are so far behind everyone else in the league. All the "cry for help" stuff is just playing to the fans and press to cover up the fact they are playing the system.
