It's not a coincidence that so few countries play it. It's nothing more than a test of how brain dead someone is and this can be calculated by how long it takes before they give up and get put out. The more brain dead you are, the happier you are to stand there using a 4 inch wide plank to protect a 9 inch wide target...you could almost do that with your eyes closed. That would be like reducing football goals to 4 feet wide and deciding the game by having teams fire shots from the penalty spot all afternoon.

Dougal would have you believe that tens of thousands are staying away every week because of the merger. The truth is that, these days, it's probably about 6 of them.

I'm all for remembering and even celebrating our pre-merger history...and that includes stuff like LSM etc. However, that page does the memory of Caledonian FC no justice whatsoever. There's nearly 110 years of Caledonian FC and Inverness Thistle FC to be remembered, not just the "merger years". Yes, they are important and they should not be glossed over or ignored....but obsessing over them or hiding away from recognising our true history because of them only serves to deny the current generations the chance to celebrate them. And if I am honest....we're probably all as guilty for getting so drawn into this type of discussion every time it comes up.

The club & CJT have this "Altogether Now" thing going on with the Inverness Courier this season. These things only work if there's something in it for everyone...and in the case of the Courier then their "something" is the occasional exclusive offer/announcement.

Having seen the penalty replay close up and in slow mo.....Foran was shoved by Daly and it should have been our foul. Que sera...and if I'm honest, an ICT win would have been harsh on Utd. Last year the players heads would have gone down and we'd likely have been on the wrong end of a 5 or 6 goal drubbing. Today tested the players character in that regard TO THE MAX and they passed with flying colours. Today showed me once and for all that this team is special and there's no "fluke" in us being where we are in the league and cups. Those staying away....for whatever reason....have no idea that history is being made and they are missing it.

ICT do a regulat "Ticket Info" article which has had the info for the Jan 2nd game on them for at least the last 2.
