Is Mark Brown set to leave?
And Wyness/The Club had admitted that Wyness had talked to Hearts at the time.

Marcus Paatelainen...
Surely that last sentence kinda confirms it. Remember the Press Release that said Pele had signed a 5 year contract??? All articles I have read so far give conflicting information about the stage of contract signings, so we'll just wait and see something a little more concrete :016:

Sneck Courier Today
We can discuss the good and bad ideas round in circles all day (and we have done on these forums ever since we got into the SPL). It's the fact that the club have done NOTHING to try an entice more people through the gates that gets me. If they had tried out some stuff and it hadn't worked, then fair enough, at least you could say they were trying, but they aren't. I don't think our price increases for this season and the 5% drop in average home gate (to date) are just coincidental. In fact, I would wager that if you did the maths taking into account money lost from those "missing" fans from programme, half time draw tickets, club merchandise sales etc then the price increase will have actually reduced income instead of increasing it - no point increasing prices by 2 or 3% if it's going to cost you 5% of your customers. Even if you take the Main Stand out of the equation (as I believe it is all but sold out with Season Tickets) - The North Stand prices are still ludicrous, and so is the effort people have to make in order to benefit from the cheapest possible prices - the club should be making it as easy as possible for people to get the best possible deals, not vice-versa. And with not having a City Centre ticket outlet, then it's not exactly convenient for people to nip in and buy tickets in advance to get best prices. CC and players say that they want bigger crowds to be cheering the players on at home and this would possibly help improve performance - I say that they should be looking just as hard to the club to encourage that as they do to the fans.

SFA
I covered that point in my post - it all depends how serious his request to be relieved really was. IF - and I know it's a big IF - he doesn't really want to go to Ibrox, then the handling of it all so far (in the public eye) gives Smith and the SFA a win win situation. Smith gets to stay in the Scotland job without losing face at Ibrox for turning them down flat and the SFA get to look like they aren't the pushover everyone thought they would be.

Sneck Courier Today
Time and again we hear the "If more fans came to games we could afford to spend more" line coming out of the stadium, and there's no doubt that is the case. However, the blame for this cannot be placed squarely at the feet of the fans or the general population of Inverness. The club need to be doing more to encourage people along instead of constantly having a pop in the press, lets see some initiatives that will put bums on seats instead of the same old 'no-brainer' statements.

SFA
Does Smith really want the Rangers job? Can't say that I've read any direct quotes from him saying he wants to leave and it all seems to be speculation over his desire to manage Rangers ahaead of Scotland. Perhaps Smith doesn't want to turn around and give Rangers a straight no incase things do go t1ts up at some point with the Scotland job and their is a chance of him getting back into Ibrox in the future. Perhaps he went to the SFA half hearted and said, "I'm going to ask to leave, but I would prefer you rejected my request." I'm not convinced one way or the other yet, and I think it's wrong to be jumping on Smith when all we have at the moment is a handful of vague quotes from everyone except the man himself on which the press have spun out, what they would have you believe, a minute by minute analysis of everything that has gone on and will go on.

LOYAL ARMY
It's been "Caley Army" for as long as I can remember it and I don't recall ever hearing anyone sing "Loyal Army" Agree with the point RiG is trying to make, but it goes back to the discussion we had about a group of fans refering to themselves as "Casuals" - You may have no intention of attaching yourself to a certain sector of people, but rightly or wrongly, certain phrases, chants, names, flags, symbols etc have been hijacked by extremist groups over the years and the majority of people will automatically associated you has having some kind of allegiance if you use them. It's not right, but thats the way it is. I believe the "Mini Rangers" tag comes from the pre-merger days whem Caley were considered the "Huns of The North"

I'm sure the club will make him the best offer they can, both financially and practically - if thats not good enough then so be it, no player is worth more than we can afford.

Is Mark Brown set to leave?
Brown is far too good for Falkirk - Better offers will come in sooner or later, and I think he should show a bit of ambition by telling Falkirk that he's actually looking for a move upwards so thanks but no thanks.

Do you do tickets yet?
WeWillFollow probably sounds a bit too much like a huns site for most non-rangers supporting Scottish football fans.

Scottish Cup Draw - 4th Round
I was editing the post when the question was asked. Few potential banana skins in that draw I think. Not sure whether I would prefer to play United or St Mirren, but with our recent form having improved a fair bit at home then I'm gald it's TCS we are playing at. I doubt Aberdeen or Hibs will be looking forward to a match v Gretna and I hope Deveronvale stuff Partick :001:

scottish cup draw
From a footballing point of view, it doesn't matter who we play - If the ambition is to win the cup then you have to beat all comers. From a fiscal point of view then we want "easier" games (if such a thing exists in cup games) to keep the run going and increase revenue.

Bullock was charged for exposing himself in public and placed on the sex offenders register as a result. His crime did not involve a minor, intentionally or otherwise.
