  1. His contract also includes Coaching Responsibilities - we often hear clubs rant on about Youth Development etc etc, but I believe it is just as important to develop your own coaching staff using people who know the club, know the players and are well respected etc. I believe Wilson has all the qualities necessary to be a top notch coach and there's a certain feel good factor in seeing the club giving him the chance to develop that, and also in seeing Wilson rising to the challenge.
  2. No - Doesn't matter if he is the best footballer in the world if he spends most of his time out suspended. I also don't want someone on the team who risks bringing the club into disrepute. So he's a bad loser....time he grew the feck up if thats the case and learns that in life you lose more than you ever win and you need to learn to get on with it without tossing the toys out of the pram like a spoiled brat.

    New Goalie

Under current Transfer rules it's not possible for a player to play for 3 seperate clubs in the same season.

None of those examples constitute abuse IMO, they are all true to some extent and most have been qualified with comments that it's not the norm or is understandable due to him carrying an injury or by hopes that he will recapture the form we know he is capable off (although I agree that he is not as far off form as some would have you believe). Yes we do have forum users who mindlessly criticise and they jump to whatever negative point seems to be the favourite for the day but they are far from being any kind of majority and the defensive reaction of some is way OTT.
  7. I'm not doubting his ability on the pitch, the guy has and can make a great contribution to the team. What's got my back up is his lack of respect. When he apolgises to the fans for the way he's been acting then I'll get off his back.

Sophia, I would be interested in seeing you give some examples of all this abuse you think Rossco is taking - as you seem to have a different slant on what abuse is to me. I see plenty of constructive criticism, but no much abuse. All the excuses in the world about being injured doesn't mean that the guy hasn't suffered a dip in form, yes their may be sound reason for it, but it's till happened and people are perfectly justified to raise the point for discussion. On the whole the forum users of this site have been 100% behind Rossco for many seasons now, with the odd exception when we have made the step up and some question whether or not he would hack it at the next level. Love him or hate him, not many will deny that Rossco is 100% ICT and very few will doubt that he gives his all.
  9. I'll drive him there maself :001:
  10. I'm not doubting Dods professionalism in the slightest, but fans are fickle people and as I said in my post earlier in the thread, I think it is for his own good that he does not play against Utd because we (and Utd) have fans who will use whatever he does during the match as an excuse to have a go. It would appear from comments in todays papers that CC has no reservations at all in playing him in these matches, and if Dods is as happy with that and the risk of a slating from one side or the other then go for it, I have no problem with that. One note of caution. If he plays against Utd in the cup game and performs to his usual best then it will likely shut most of the disenters up till the end of the season. However, should the opposite be the case then we will never hear the end of it and Dods will get nothing but dogs abuse for the rest of the season.

Did you actually read Scotty's full post properly before you compiled the above reply?
  13. It's the old lack of a Tongue in Cheek smiley taking it's toll again I see :015:
  14. From what I've seen of Fraser over the last couple of seasons I honestly don't think Bullock would oust him from the #1 jersey as easily as some might think, even in the short term. I also don't think ANY player should be guaranteed first team football and they need to prove they are the best available option. We are in a decent situation at present whereby it looks like the Dunfermline are for the drop (who'd bet against it?), and I think that allows us the luxury of giving Fraser a bit of time to come up to speed, however, if we were to get the chance of a keeper who was unarguably better then we would be stupid to pass it up. At the end of the day Fraser is only 1 player, and as much as I like the guy and think he has what it takes, it's the team that comes first and in the SPL it's dangerous to try and nurse players too much on the park as the consequences of things going wrong are drastic. The ball is squarely in Frasers half of the pitch, it's up to him to go out again on Sunday (and in each game after that) and prove he is worthy of the #1 shirt and I for one will be behind him 100% - I've seen what he is capable off and I know that if he continues to apply himself then there aren't many keepers out there (within ICT's reach) who are capable of taking that shirt off him.
  15. Agree with those who say Dods should continue to play, everyone's known he was off at the end of the season and he has continued to give his all and we have no basis to suggest he will not continue to do so now. I also agree with those who say he should not play against Utd. Not because he wouldn't give anything but 100%, but for his own sake. The minute he steps on the field against them he is in a no win situation. We win and hinder Utd's league/cup progress and he's public enemy #1 with Utd before he even goes there. We lose and people will be on his case for any flaw in his match perfromance. I would be very suprised if Dods had not asked CC to consider this when making the team selection for those matches, rather than CC having to tell him he wouldn't be playing.
  16. I may go with the "buying one and framing it" idea. P.S. - Nice to see someone from the club contributing directly and clearing up any confusion :021:
  17. Wonder if the Tannoy Dude would have the gonads to play "Yesterday Man" over the PA :015:

    Holy fcuk

Reminds me of the clip from a few years back where lightening struck the pitch and took out a few of the players.

Think **** learned a pretty big lesson in regards contract talks a few years back when is faffing about ended up in a move to C*unty.
  20. OK, so ICT tried to get prices reduced and failed, however there are other things that could be done to help reduce the financial burden/compensate our fans attending the match. Lets say ICT wanted to knock £5 of all tickets. Conservative estimate of 3000 crowd means they are going to get inthe region of £7500 more than they had budgeted for. (crude maths I know, butit gives the idea) Why not put that money back in to encouraging people along with a special offer of some kind....e.g: 1. Discount Voucher for our next home match with every full price ticket (although this doesn't help Season Ticket holders) 2. Voucher for a free Pie & Drink with every full price ticket. 3. Discount Voucher for the Club Shop with every full price ticket. 4. Free Scarf or hat or whatever with every full price ticket (maybe something free that makes a noise and can be used to get crowd going) I realise the price (in this instance) is out of their control, but it's this apparent inability for the club to think outside the box that irks me. In short, if you can't reduce what your taking from fans to give better value, then give them something extra to justify the cost.

Depends on the subject, but when it comes to players I like to think I am a 3, although depending on who the player is and the apsect of their game being discussed I can skirt with being a 2.5 or 3.5. I like to think that my views and opinions are well balanced and realistic and rarely post unless I can back up what I say with some facts/examples. For me, if a player is out there giving 100% then you can ask no more, sometimes they will have poor games, but that does not mean they aren't trying. It's when I think a player isn't giving his all that I will float more towards the 3.5 and when they are giving their all and nothing is coming off for them then I can be a bit defensive of criticism directed at them and tend towards the 2.5.

    BENJI

Opposition fans have a go at these guys in the hope of getting a reaction. You can't get all high and mighty when they do react. Not the best way for a player to behave, but at least he didn't jump the hoardins and boot ya.
  23. **Is having a wee laugh to himself**
  24. Very Nice and about time they moved to a Red and Black Away Shirt (so as the can concentrate on a Blue and White Home one :001:) Would have my form filled in and to the club in a flash if it wasn't for the ridiculous sizing and the fact that they don't do a XXXXXL which is what I would need in Errea's sizes.
  25. Dargo may yet regret refusing ICT's final offer now he's landed himself with this injury. Sitting out for a few weeks to recover will impact on his fitness and match sharpness and if his replacement/s manage to prevent him geting back into the squad by the end of the season then he may find that any outside interest in him will have gone cold.
