  1. I doubt if the boy has ever said or indicated that ...... pretty stupid if he has!
  2. So if Ryan is retained as No2 keeper and coach, who would you release Dean or Owain?
  3. To be honest, I am not fussed either way.
  4. Only my opinion: • Dean Brill - Depends on how he recovers from injury but can we afford 3 quality keepers? • Aaron Doran- Release, too much of a luxury at a high cost • Danny Williams- Retain • Ryan Esson- Retain in dual role but can we afford 3 quality keepers? • Carl Tremarco- Retain • Ross Draper- Retain • James Vincent- Retain • David Raven- Retain • Danny Devine- Retain but deputy role to Josh and Gary • Ali Sutherland- Unsure, needs first team experience but probably worth another 12 months out on loan • Liam Polworth- Retain • Lewis Horner - Release • Calum Ferguson- Unsure, needs first team experience but probably worth another 12 months out on loan • Cammy Mackay - Unsure, needs first team experience but probably worth another 12 months out on loan • Nat Wedderburn - Release • Jordan Roberts - Unsure. Haven't seen enough of him • Owain Fon Williams - Retain if affordable but can we afford 3 quality keepers? • Andrea Mbuyi-Mutombo- Release • Iain Vigurs - Unsure, looks like he will be no more than a squad player
  5. Pass marks + to the back 5 but without doubt I would start Meekings before Divine. Raven is an auto start IMO. Great start to 2016.
  6. I agree that Liam has recently shown massive improvement but he is a different type of player to Ryan. Yes get him signed for the future but I'm sure the manager knows exactly what length of contract he should offer so that he fits within his overall (reduced) budget. I hope I'm wrong but I don't see him having the same potential as Ryan.
  7. I would give Carlo every chance to make the left back position his own.
  8. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
  9. Heard Henderson is staying in England
  10. Brilliant news - DELIGHTED Does anyone else feel that 375 posts on this topic is sufficient? Yogi is an asset of this club and imo a very valuable one at that, so maybe we should put it to bed once and for all.
  11. According to the Inverness Courier KC has put a "very good" offer on the table for Drapes. There is nothing better than positive news. Well done KC!
  12. I have every confidence that he will spend wisely but everyone makes mistakes! Maybe you have the answer to getting quality players in when you have a very restrictive budget?
  13. It all depends on how much money he gets to attract the better players we all want
  14. Most likely he won't sign up again but if what we've been told is true then Foran will be taking over. A plan should now be put in place to make sure he is prepared and we should be trying to tie up all the loose contracts asap. Perhaps we need leaders off the park. Again my concern is that the loss of Yogi will affect the players and that we could probably only attract a younger, upcoming type of manager - probably more suited to the lower leagues. Perhaps we need leaders off the park. Again my concern is that the loss of Yogi will affect the players and that we could probably only attract a younger, upcoming type of manager - probably more suited to the lower leagues. I think people are reading far too much into this article... Budgets - Clearly KC not giving him an answer on whether he is going to have anything from the Christie sale to spend, he's clearly looking for clarity, which KC won't be able to give until he really looks at what can be made available. "It's just before you sign that contract just getting to know exactly what tools you're working with next year. I don't want to sign a contract and something gets taken away" To me he is ready to sign, he just wants to know what he is working with. Players - As with any manager you admire and you are getting playing time under, you want to see them stay, and if they don't of course that is going to impact your future and decision on whether to stay. Family - To me this is a statement to say to KC, offer me long term and I'll maybe move my family up here. look at the positive side of that rather than thinking he wants away and is using that as an excuse. Sticky Patch - Of course he feels he has no control, look at the injuries, he says it himself. Confidence is a huge factor and as he says if they get on a wee run it all comes back, it is kind of out of his hands and up the players to really start believing in themselves, Hughes can try motivate, but ultimately its down to the players to perform and get that belief back. If the offer has been made some time ago it is obviously not acceptable to our best ever manager. Maybe we are penny pinching as usual so maybe the fans should prepare for him going. The longer this continues the less respect/trust the parties will have for each other so let's call it a day, one way or the other.

  16. As long as you are prepared for life in the lower leagues!!!
  17. I really don't think it's Yogi's fault in not signing players - his budget has been cut this year - even after our Scottish Cup win. The guy works under severe financial restrictions so I think he is doing what he can when he is allowed to do so.
  18. Maybe but from what I am told a certain individual and his cronies would need to be well clear of the ship before anything would happen.
  19. Maybe a former chairman & associates
  20. Those people you criticise who you say 'don't really understand the football business have overseen an amalgamation of two former Highland League clubs consolidating, bar one season, in the top division for more than a decade now, under a number of managers whilst living within our means and achieving the balancing act of keeping the club both solvent and increasingly successful. With respect, in my opinion, those running our club know a fair bit about the business of football and a great deal about the business of running Inverness Caledonian Thistle in particular. We obviously have different opinions, to which we are both entitled. I am fully aware of the financial restrictions applying to the club and I feel this is down to 2 reasons, the first being distinct lack of serious investment and second the level of support providing much needed cash flow. If the board were willing, I am sure serious investors could be attracted and this in turn would hopefully improve the numbers paying to support the club. Simplistic maybe but our 2014-2015 success has placed much greater demands on how the club is run and serious investment is now needed to maintain or improve the unexpected levels the club has risen to.
  21. Oh come on all you doubters.Yogi is the BEST thing ever to happen to this Club - FACT. What the do you really expect from the man? He has the smallest budget in the league and he works for people who don't really understand the football business. If they did, they would have given him a new contract immediately the Scottish Cup was won. OK, we are not doing too well right now but what do you really expect? If this club can stay in this division without needing a play off GREAT if we make top 6 BRILLIANT and anything better is a MIRACLE. Long may he reign!!
