  1. Bicycles don't need number plates!
  2. Most definitely but I'm sure the board have other ideas. I'm sure Yogi could do with a few quid to secure new contracts for those who have not come out and said they intend moving on in the summer.
  3. Sorry Roughi but something is better than nothing. I agree, he is a valuable asset so why let him go for nothing? At this stage in his contract the club's valuation is irrelevant as it is too late for a huge amount of negotiation. This is not a one man team, this is a very good squad of players of which Shinnie is only a part (albeit a valuable part) and I don't see his January departure as being a significant factor in where we finish in the league. IMO Tremarco will not weaken our defence and we have very good options in midfield already. In an ideal world, we should be receiving megabucks for one of our prized assets but sadly this isn't an ideal world and I can only expect that selling him wouldn't make a difference - heard on the grapvine that Aberdeen offered a sum last transfer window which was laughable to say the least. Without a doubt Tremarco is a decent enough left back but the problem is he isn't of the same calibre of Shinnie and I think it would be ludicrous to sell him when we are seriously chasing a top 3 finish. You're better off keeping the player and then it's best for both parties - we finish off in a high position and Graeme gets a big move elsewhere. I also agree with the point old caley girl rasied earlier, I can't fathom Graeme leaving in January for personal reasons, unless Aberdeen offered a shed load of money. That's OK, we all have our own opinions so I'm sure we can agree to disagree.

  5. I can see your point OCG but I don't believe one man makes a team. I really don't know how much he is worth but there is only one way to find out. Put him on the list and see if we get any offers. If we don't get any offers then so be it, the club can't be blamed for not trying. If we didn't have cover I would probably agree with you. I can also see a reason why he wouldn't want to leave in Jan because if your new club doesn't have to pay a transfer fee the player can negotiate a bigger signing on fee. Good deal for the player, poor deal for the club he is leaving. To use a Yogi quote: "Football evolves - if it's not you, it's somebody else" That is a statement I agree with and no man should be bigger than the club. Graeme has been a fantastic servant of the club for many years and I really hope he does what's best for himself because he does deserve a 'big break' The club could all well put Graeme on the transfer market but in truth the offers would fall well under the club's valuation of Graeme. Why would a team pay an excess amount of money when they could in truth get him for free in May - wouldn't make good business sense. It wouldn't be the first time that players coming to the end of their contract at the end of the season are sold in January. If a club really wants a player they will pay for him in January in order to stop other clubs getting in on the act when he is free to move. It doesn't make good business sense if we do NOT put him up for sale - we may not get any offers but we won't know if we don't try!

  7. Sorry guys but I am thinking about the ICT financial situation which really can't afford to give major assets away for nothing. IMO Carlo is as good a defender as Shinnie but not as good going forward. I really don't think the team would suffer as we seem well covered in the more advanced areas. Don't get me wrong, I like Shinnie as a player but I would like to see the club get a return on it's investment and let's not forget this is as much a business transaction for the club as well as Shinnie.
  8. I'm sure many will not agree but I think the club should give him the BEST offer they can NOW and if he doesn't accept he should be put up for sale in January. We just can't afford to let one of our best players leave for what ill be very little or no compensation.

No questions re the financial results?
  10. Great to see this has been re-introduced . The same initiative was in place since the club relocated and it was sad to see it discontinued in 2001. Maybe our paying support would be far larger now if the decision to stop it was not made at that time.
  11. On this performance against quality opposition we can take on anyone with confidence. Confidence, which Yogi has brought to the players, can win us games we used to draw or lose. Magic!!!!
  12. good to hear ongoing training is provided Maimie as I would think these things would be dangerous in untrained hands!!
  13. I saw John Hartson with county director Peter Swanson at airport this morning. Obviously had interview. Was he quoted?
  14. The way they played last night I'm sure we could have taken them - even with their so called stars!
  15. Queens Park could be a tricky tie away from home!
  16. Good for you Ryan hope it all goes well for you.
  17. Cos the opposing fans would never have been stupid enough!!!!
  18. Thank god it isn't that little "man" - he gives us NOTHING!
  19. Seemingly 2 trialists with us this week. One an African striker and the other (don't know what position) a former England U18 internationalist. Anyone got any info on who they are?
  20. Considering he is in the last year of his contract I would accept a decent bid (anything over £250k)and replace him with a loan striker with some experience. There must be someone out there who is looking to kick on at a reasonable level of first team football.
  21. Waste of time, effort and money if we pursue anyone who only wants to play part-time. Don't forget Rory tried this before and didn't have the attitude to take the opportunity when it was given.
  22. Considering the way Yogi wants the team playing, and the players we have, I will be happy if we stay clear of any potential relegation places. On the other hand, if he can sort out our decisions in the final third I would be looking to 5th or 6th place.
  23. I wondered what had happened to Greenhalgh! So he's back at Concord...I'm sure they'll be happy to have him back although I bet he feels he can play at a higher level! And he is the ONLY one who feels he should be playing at a higher level!
  24. He should be given the absolute best offer we can afford NOW. If he says no, he should be sold. Do we really want to see our biggest asset go for ZERO? I'm sure our board have this as a priority but if they don't they should have!
  25. Shinnie is probably our most valuable asset. Should we not be offering him a new contract now? If he doesn't accept it should we put him on the market before the window closes?
