  1. I can understand the 'lateness' - must have taken ages to edit out all your swearing!
  2. ^^^ IHE... You are the: PC KING OF YES!! (cracked the 'code')!
  3. Yeah, good to see Billy getting on for another international cap. Hope he gets a start in their last qualifier against Israel. It's a 'dead' game and Northern Ireland have had some dreadful recent results, so why not throw him in from kick-off? Israel also have nothing to play for - it's effectively a friendly, so why not! Good on Switzerland qualifying, Rainbow. They've done well winning their group so comfortably, unbeaten. Some cynics may say it was an easy group on paper, but I was looking at it and thinking how Scotland would have performed. I mean, Norway are a decent national side and they've come up well short.
  4. Stuart Armstrong netted for Scotland U21s last night.
  5. First spell with us, Brewster was good. But he made the mistake of returning! Or rather the board did, in re-employing him!...after his dreadful time at Tannadice! All our managers have had success in different ways. Brewster's 2nd spell didn't work and I think he lost the faith of the players. Apart from Proctor. Brewster had no trouble inserting him at weekends. On the team sheet. Butcher then arrived and almost saved us from relegation.
  6. 8th October Aberdeenshire Shield 1st Round Martin Bavidge (Inverurie Loco Works 3-1(aet) Buckie Thistle Lewis MacKinnon (Inverurie Loco Works 3-1(aet) Buckie Thistle
  7. I see Michael Moore has been ousted as Scottish Secretary in David Cameron's reshuffle. He's been replaced by Orkney & Shetland MP Alistair Carmichael (LibDem). What a year ahead he's got! I'd imagine Moore won't be too displeased to be out of the front-line as he maybe isn't the best candidate to defend Scotland remaining in the Union. I say that with reference to the recent debate between Moore and Nicola Sturgeon on STV. A points 'win' for the SNP deputy! Although I didn't think she was quite so convincing against the Labour MP (forgotten his name) more recently. David Cameron appears to be ducking out of a head-to-head with Alex Salmond, in favour of putting up his Scottish Secretary to do the deed instead. I'd imagine Salmond would have relished taking on Moore. However, there's a new man in place now - I confess to knowing nothing about him...but he's in for a baptism of fire!
  8. My first impression is that the draw could have been kinder to the non-league clubs!

  10. St. Johnstone played Inverness CT on Saturday. and this is the fans' forum to chew it over. Despite the 4-0 reverse, there appears to be more appetite and more comments discussing an individual taking a flag to the game! You would think the guy was dressed as Hitler with a swastika flag and giving it the Nazi salute while goose-stepping his way back from the burger van! The Union Jack is the flag of this country, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. That is a fact until or unless there's a miraculous result next November. Yes, Rangers have 'adopted' it as a reflection of their bigoted political ideal but they don't own it. I'm all for freedom of speech and expression. Live and let live.
  11. The 3rd round draw takes place tomorrow (Monday) at 1pm. Here's a list of the clubs involved (forthcoming replays in italics) There are 3 Highland League teams definitely competing at this stage but potentially 6. Plus, there's Culter from the North Juniors! Elgin City are also still involved. Slightly disappointed that Steve Paterson's Formartine and Barry Wilson's Wick are absent due to defeats yesterday. However they both lost to Highland League sides, so not too bad. Top junior outfit Auchinleck Talbot are the other non-league side in the hat. Byes Aberdeen, Celtic, Dundee, Dundee United, Falkirk, Hearts, Hibernian, Inverness Caley Thistle, Kilmarnock, Livingston, Morton, Motherwell, Partick Thistle, Ross County, St. Mirren, St. Johnstone. 12. Regarding Curtis Allen's fitness, I suppose that's where the U20 games come in. I believe Terry was at a managers' meeting recently where the general consensus was looking at reinstating a reserve league for next season. That would give the fringe players more games. St. Johnstone certainly seem to be a real thorn in our side. I think we've only scored once against them in the last eight meetings! It was a result I didn't see coming - a bit like the 1-5 hiding we took against Motherwell last year. That was written off as a bad day and we recovered straight away.
  13. Sadly not! Not sure how, but we play them in the league again next month!
  14. The players were obviously still thinking about today's 'Terry's teaser'... "give me 3 consecutive days of the week, but don't say either Wednesday, Friday or Sunday in your reply!" No idea what answer to that is, but the players today didn't look like they'd have scored in this game...yesterday, today or tomorrow!
  15. League One Bryan Prunty TWO GOALS (Dumbarton 2-4 Raith Rovers) English League 2 Sam Winnall (Scunthorpe United 2-0 Cheltenham Town) Scottish Cup - 2nd Round Rory McAllister (Berwick 2-1 Peterhead) Gavin Morrison (Brora Rangers 1-1 Cove Rangers) Roy McBain (Brora Rangers 1-1 Cove Rangers) Martin Bavidge (Formartine United 0-2 Inverurie Loco Works)
  16. First change in personnel this season in the league. Good to see young Polworth getting a start.
  17. I wasn't aware of this at all! I don't read the Daily Record, so missed it. Surely an over reaction to an obviously flippant article. The line, "Admittedly, I’ve not seen a lot of women’s football - just a few little snatches" is typical Tam Cowan! It's his irreverent style. Always nudge, nudge, wink, wink humour. I used to love his "Take-It-Away-Jock-the-****" 'Offside' program! It's good to have journalists of a different ilk and not all PC correct scribes like Graham Spiers! It's incredible how guarded you've got to be in what you say anywhere nowadays.... But what he said was correct. Nobody has any interest in women's football aside from those directly involved. There are plenty of female ICT supporters who regularly attend games but few, if any, will have gone to watch Inverness City Ladies FC. I've watched a few games on TV - the most exciting it got was when a wee pushing fight developed. But it was just handbags...and the elementary mistakes that were being made..honestly, I've never seen so many boobs!
  18. Our game against Ross County's U20's has been confirmed as a 6pm kick-off on Tuesday 8th October at the stadium.
  19. ^^^ Na, a different Jason Brown! Our version is a young outfield player!

  21. Just to add to my previous post....I would be very surprised if Terry was looking to leave his idyllic Ness-side paradise. Besides, he'll want to see how far he can take this team. A look at where Barnsley are currently placed (bottom of their league with 4 points from 27), and it's clear he made the correct decision to stay with us. And it wasn't for the short term, I don't think. Butcher knows what he's doing... I envisage a new contract of 2 years for the management team being offered and accepted!
  22. We literally couldn't be doing any better at this stage. Top of the league after almost a quarter of the season, and in the quarter-finals of the League Cup. There's also a Scottish Cup campaign coming up, where we're automatically in the last 32. All good! But, yeah, I suppose there may be some concern that as it stands Terry, Mo and Steve Marsella are in their last year unless they get extended contracts sorted out. The current situation sees only Doran on a long-term deal. Signed up till the end of season 2015-16: • Aaron Doran Signed up until the end of next season: • Josh Meekings • Nick Ross • Gary Warren • Graeme Shinnie • Billy McKay • Daniel Devine • David Raven • Liam Polworth • Ryan Christie Signed up until the end of this season: • Ross Draper • Ryan Esson • Richie Foran • Conor Pepper • Matthew Cooper • Jay Cheyne • Calum Ferguson • Ben Greenhalgh • Danny Williams • Adam Evans • James Vincent • Marley Watkins • Curtis Allen • Joe Gorman • Nick Draper • Calum Howarth • Cameron Mackay • Jason Brown • Alasdair Sutherland • Carl Tremarco (Butcher and Malpas and Marsella are also in this category) Signed until January: • Torbjørn Agdestein On loan until January: • Dean Brill
  23. Found out it's Sunday 20th October! http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/scottish_fa_news.cfm?page=1986&newsCategoryID=4&newsID=12545
  24. I hadn't heard about his 59!! WOW. I'm sure that equals the lowest ever round in golf.
  25. Don't think we had a game. It's Queen's Park (away) for ICT in the last 32 but I'm not sure of the date...
