I think it's quite clear that Raven's legs are going and he probably doesn't have much more than a season left at this level. Despite this though, I wonder if we could get a couple more seasons out of him by moving him in-field. Remember when the same happened to Tokely, Butcher moved him to centre-back (granted he was tall enough to offer something from set-pieces). Could a similar work with Raven? Raven originally started out as a centre-half and could he move back there, as a kind of ball playing partner to Warren, similar to what Josh Meekings did? Another option would be to have him sitting in-front of the back three or four breaking up play.

This I agree with. I've noticed some fans, especially younger ones, have a very low bar for what a club legend is. I've even seen it argued that everyone who played in the cup final is a club legend - they aren't. In fact, is winning the Scottish Cup the club's greatest ever achievement? I don't think it is. While it is the most glamourous, is it *that* difficult to win? Considering Falkirk, who could well have won that day, didn't play a top-flight team until the final, suggests that isn't. IMO winning the league and in the manner that we did it in 2004 and 2010 was far more difficult and far more important achievement.

I honestly reckon Djebi-Zadi is better than Joe Chalmers. At least Lionel was fast and had a bit of flair going forward. Chalmers is dreadful, absolutely dreadful and could easily be one of our worst ever players.

When we were in Division 1 on 2009/10, I remember many people saying (possibly correctly) that the team we won the league with was better than the one we were relegated with. Yes there was a few of duds like Lionel Djebi-Zadi, Andrew Barrowman (before he was punted) and Daniel Stratford, but it did include Jonny Hayes, Adam Rooney and Richie Foran, all of whom were probably the best players in the league at that time. Remember as well, the team we were relegated with had the likes of Felipe Morais in it, who was certainly no dud. Can't say the same about this season - Foran's flops last season would absolutely gub the current team. Imagine we plonked back in the Premiership tomorrow, who would you keep? Tremarco definitely, along with probably Connor Bell, Iain Vigurs and Owain Fon Williams as well as probably Seedorf and Trafford. The rest would be out of their depth in the Premiership, including Raven and Warren, both of whom look like their legs have gone. People can constantly make excuses about poor Robbo and his budget, but that doesn't account for signings players like Joe Chalmers, Coll Donaldson, John Baird, Alex Cooper and Mark Ridgers all of whom were known to be absolutely rotten. I refuse to believe they're the best players we could find. As well as that, George Oakley and Felitciano Zschusschen look absolutely garbage, especially the latter. Is this the worst Caley Thistle team ever? I'd say yes it is and the manager must take some of the blame.

He had a trial at Celtic around the time he was at Swansea as well as I recall. Very odd though that he's never managed to stay at any club for any length of time. He's had 17 clubs and is still only 31.

Remember the Dean McDonald Rule folks. There was a video posted at the time (that might still be on YouTube) where he looks absolutely incredible. The player we saw a handful of times off the bench for us was......well not very good.

From what I remember, Hughes told the Hartlepool board at the end of that season that wanted to replace the entire the coaching staff and about 90% of the players. They decided just to get rid of him instead, but they had missed staying up quite narrowly after being miles behind when he took over.

I saw Elbouzedi driving into the car park yesterday. The most thrilling moment of the day.

I know it's an old cliche, but really what do they do in training? Yesterday, the entire team looked unfit, poor on the ball, poor awareness, no drive and as static as a bunch of statues. I'm not someone who calls for the manager's head when they've essentially only just come in the door, but it clearly isn't working. Whether it's his fault or the players or both, they obviously aren't reacting to his methods and no-matter what ideas he has, they seemed to be doomed to fail. I think the time has come for Robbo to stand aside, where he can leave with his integrity intact and for the good of everyone else. It might not even be his fault, but something isn't working and it's time for someone else to come in and bring new ideas to the table.

Zchusschen is of course the man who Robbo said was a striker who'd make a 'big difference' and 'would reach the top of Scottish football'...

I started to notice it the other week at Paisley, but I'm starting to see the Calder the Dundee fans talked about turning up again. Definitely has some ability but a poor poor attitude. He did nothing when he came on. Either tell him to buck up or get lost.

Harping back to the football old days means nothing nowadays. The game was played at a snail's pace when George Best was at the height of his peak with Man United. Would these players drinking and smoking make it to the top level of today's game? I doubt it.

No. We have to stop this obsession with looking backwards. Butcher is in the past, as where Robbo should've stayed. We need someone new, with a new background and new ideas to create the next Caley Thistle side.
