  1. He doesn't seem to like me very much. :024:
  2. I guess you could just go in and ask if they're looking for anyone to do it. Does anyone else remember the short lived mascot Caley the Croc? He and Nessie looked strangely similar. :024:
  3. Please do !!! Then get yourself tested for Mercury poisoning. Seriously Renegade, watch the movie and you would not have even thought of posting that. Would dolphin farms be the answer then? It's a horrible thought, yet most of us accept it for other mammals......... A thought provoking point. Personally it's the brutal manner in which the the dolphins are dispatched of which I take issue with. Also so few of us have seen the workings of an abbatoir that many people don't think twice about the meat we consume. I found the BBC3 series kill it, cook it, eat it difficult to watch in places but didn't feel it struck home insofar as I didn't see the process first hand. I'll certainly keep an eye out for The Cove. And I still think Renegades joke is as bizarre as his team selections. Maybe farming whales for consumption wouldn't be a bad idea. It would probably mean that whale numbers would go up, they wouldn't be killed so "inhumanely" and the Greeny-Anti-Whaling-Save-the-Rainforest lot wouldn't have much to complain about (as well as some yummy yummy burgers!) And on the T6NS other bit. Didn't you start a thread a while back calling for me to be banned over some trivial matter? Says a lot about you really...
  4. Well I'm sure there'll be a few tears in Torshavn tonight!
  5. No thanks, I eat cows a lot but I don't want to watch the cycle of how it gets to the field to my plate now do I. I bet that's rather brutal too.
  6. I was actually going to start a thread on the same thing and I have to agree with the OP. This long ball garbage that ICT have resorted to since Brew returned is for me, one of the things that cost ICT relegation. It's also interesting to note that ICT seem to create more chances when the ball is on the deck. This could clearly be seen yesterday. Butcher has said that he wants to "win ugly", well from what I could see, playing ugly football does nothing but bring ugly results for ICT, but that's part of his game plan and he's done that almost all the clubs he managed. There times when the long ball stuff can work. Obviously going all out for an equaliser in the last minute of the cup final would be a prime example, but the way ICT go into every game with this mindset IMO does more harm than good, with Munro being the main culprit. Time to punt the punt, and bring back attacking football.
  7. Taking the morality out of things for a minute, has anyone on here ever eaten dolphin? I haven't but I bet it's lovely.
  8. First of all, I thought Eagle had a very good game on Saturday, and IIRC when he signed for ICT, it was reported that he could play left wing, as well as a left back. Along with that, as you can see I've gone with a rather attack minded, Dutch-esque 4-3-3 which would give the full backs the opportunity to get forward. With Lionel, I've always believed that he is a fairly effective player going forward, despite having his, how shall we say, moments at the back. If he was played in this position, with a licence to go forward, and out of harms way at the back, then I think he could be a fairly effective player.
  9. No, I'd change it. If Duncan and Golly are indeed available I'd go - Esson Tokely-----Bulvitis-----Munro-----Golabek Cox Duncan Hayes Sanchez Rooney Foran Subs - Allison, Eagle, Djebi-Zadi, Proctor, Odhiambo/McBain/Ross
  10. Maybe not for away games, but ICT need to starting winning homes game that would otherwise be draws. I reckon this formation should be scrapped at home from now on and ICT attack and win games comfortably at home, something this formation doesn't always do.
  11. Talking of mascot's, whatever happened to Nessie the Monster and the iCat? Have they been put down?
  12. Anyone else think that this 4-2-3-1 thing has had it's day?
  13. Robertson doesn't seem to be a particularly good manager without Donald Park.
  14. I went - Esson Duncan Golabek Though I see one bright spark voted for Bulvitis...

Carsten Jancker! I was wondering what happened to him.
  16. Actually, when Eagle was signed, it was reported that he can play anywhere down the left (including left back).
  17. I'd say a draw was a fair result. Neither team was better than the other really, but it could have swung either way. The first half tactics, were how should we say, dull. Every opportunity was a long high ball towards either Rooney or Hayes, or in many case, no-one. Butcher was saying ICT should "win ugly", but it was clear, that these long high balls just make fools of players like Rooney and Hayes and don't add anything to the scoreline. When ICT adopted a more passing style of play, more chance were created. This is the mindset ICT should into games with, not just in the second half. Of the team, no-one really had a bad game. Esson kept ICT in it a few times (my MOTM), while Golabek looked solid in the first half and Duncan worked very hard. Rooney also worked very hard, but just didn't get the chances or distribution he needed. Eagle played the best I've ever seen him, while Hayes was hot and cold. Tokely actually did quite well at centre-back, but he still can't pass nor control the ball. The rest were all in the okay category, except Odhiambo. How that guy gets in the starting line up is a mystery. That's the second game in the space of a week where he has been completely ineffective. An all right performance on the whole, but I feel a more urgent style of play from the start would be more beneficial for ICT in the coming games.
  18. For me - Esson Tokely-----Bulvitis-----Munro-----Eagle Hayes Cox Djebi-Zadi Sanchez Rooney Foran Subs - Allison, Odhiambo, Proctor, Ross, McBain
  19. Not Fijian long ball football Ren?! :D I don't see what to do with anything. But in truth, there's nothing worse than long ball football. It's dull, soul destroying and rather ineffective.
  20. Long ball football........my favourite. :D
