The media didn't help with that either. "Coffeegate" being another example that also turned some people against him.

I've been lucky enough to live in a couple of ther places and only returned to Inverness for reasons outside of my control and to be honest if I can, I would definately move away again (either to somewhere like Edinburgh or beyond). The thing about Inverness is that it's too small. I see a lot of folk walking down the street or in town whom I recognise but don't actually know. There are things that are nice about Inverness in the way that the neighbouring countryside is very attractive, the town centre certainly looks a bit better too since I'd last seen it, but the things such as the size and how far away it is from everywhere that's happening to me is a bit of a turn off. Probably a nice to live if your old or enjoy hillwalking and stuff but if your not old or into that stuff, there aint much to do. Another thing I notice as well is that people in Inverness are a bit conserative and reserved and petty things like status and class seem to be quite strong on people's minds. People in Inverness (and other places in Scotland as a whole) seem a bit eager to stick to people who are "their own kind" and to stick to people due to their job, when in other countries this means nothing and to be honest for me that's a far nicer way of living. There's a lot Old Man's Boots in Inverness as well and a lot of things can be gained by who you know. Inverness is quite a nice town but it also aint a "city". For me a city has to have 300,000+. Glasgow, is a city. New York is a city. Sydney is a city. Inverness to put it bluntly, aint a city, and probably won't seem like a real city in my lifetime. But that's about it. Some stuff I do like about Inverness but I wouldn't mind moving away again if I can.

:001: Butcher aint perfect but I doubt there are many who could much better. Let's face it, he doesn't exactly have a brilliant team, not a bad one but an alright one. This is my prediction for the rest of the season and possibly beyond and you quote he on it of you like. Butcher's contract ends at the end of the season, if ICT win the 1st Division he'll stay and sign a new contract, if ICT do not win promotion, he won't quit nor will he be sacked, he'll just see out the end of his contract and that will be it. It could well be that ICT will be looking for a new boss after the end of this season, unless they do what I feel is inevitable and give it to Malpas.

I'm guessing this is aimed at the folk who questioned whether or not Munro should be captained or not. He obviously took his penalty well to win the game. I don't hate Munro, never have, not my favourite player mind but from what I've seen of him this season he seems to be a bit better than he was before and looking pretty solid. In fact I would say that he was one of the few players that could say he had a decent performance against County. A good team player and a hard worker no doubt, but my view that someone else should be captained has not changed.

Notice in the P & J other day, Vigurs says that Butcher told him that he wasn't "his sort of player". Seems a bit weird considering I always thought Vigurs and Black were quite alike, yet Butcher loved Black.

Don't know if anyone else noticed this but I seemed to think that Lionel didn't seem to be himself last week, I wonder if he was still bothered by that arm injury he picked up against Albion.

I don't care how bad he was. I'll be blunt that was one of the worst performances I've ever seen by a player in an ICT shirt. But you ever boo one if your own players. Never ever. There's is no right reason to boo your own player, you just should never do it.

HT - Partick 0-1 ICT FT - Partick 1-2 ICT Partick 1st scorer - Buchanan ICT 1st scorer - Tokely Attendance - 1,476

In my mind no true supporter would ever boo a player on the park, no matter how bad they were. I felt really sorry for Lionel when those brainless morons started booing. Felt very ashamed to be a supporter of this club, when people start doing that.

Talks a great game, but I'm not convinced he's as great as some are making out. My big worry though is that when Butcher goes, they'll give Malpas the job and that would be even worse than what they've got already. He'd be Brewster Mk 2, no doubt about it.

Don't rate him at all. Reads the game worse than an illiterate four year old attempting to read the Qu'ran. Punt back to America on performances like these.

Renegade's results are in: Esson - :) :) Looked pretty faultless from what I could see. Proctor - :( Poor. Not a patch on Tokely going forward or at the back (thank God he's on his way back). Bulvitis - :( :025: Not the defender ICT need. Looks rather cumsy at times as well. Munro - :) :) I've been a critic of Grant in the past, but he was one of the better ICT players, and held together what he could well. Not a captain though. Djebi-Zadi - :025: I thought he was going to be arrested on terrorism charges today, an utter bombscare. Couldn't pass, couldn't cross and seems petrified to go forward. Bar saving a certain goal, was pretty horrific. Eagle - Not bad but not brilliant. Cox - :) Not in the game as much yesterday, but seems to read the game well and can play a good ball. Stratford - :( :020: A contender for the wooden spoon award. Punt back to America please. Can't pass, can't cross, can't tackle and was in a great position just outside the box at least three times and seems to have never heard of shooting. Rubbish again. Hayes - :022: :022: :022: The only ICT player with any idea today. Quick, a good crosser and took his goal well. The only one in blue who seemed to have any idea of what he was doing. Sanchez - :025: Wasn't in the game and when he does get the ball, takes too many touches and can do nowt with it. Foran - :025: Again wasn't in the game much at all. Can be a decent striker but needs someone to feed off an play with up front, and currently there's no-one to do that with. Subs - Duncan, Ross - Did little if anything in the short time they were on. Rooney - B) Had he scored, ICT could've gone on and won. Involved a lot when he first came on, lost interest towards the end. Butcher - :( The team looked totally disorganised and disjointed today. Needs desperately to sign a decent striker, right winger, a left back and a big commanding Bobby Mann-esque centre-half. Best County Player - Watt - A bit rough at times but is the sort of player ICT need (and not get rid of). ICT Support - Good at times with noice but out of order to boo Lionel. You never boo a player no matter how bad he may be.

No doubt he was rubbish yesterday, but is Hastings much better? Does Hastings even still exist? I asked the folk near me yesterday where he'd gone and they had no idea, I asked the folk as well in the club shop and they looked at me like they'd never heard of him. McBain might be a better option, or possibly Shinnie who I thought excellent against Stranraer. Remember last season and the season before it seeme almost every goal came from crosses from Hastings area. Not convinced by him either TBH.

First time I'd seen most of that team, and even though they kept the ball on the deck a lot more than under Brew, it wasn't exactly inspiring. Esson was fine, Munro and Lionel looked pretty solid, felt Bulvitis was poor at the start but got better as the first half went on. Lionel was very good going forward as well. Didn't think Proctor was much good, not a patch on Tokely at the back or going forward. Eagle looked okay, Cox was good and Hayes showed some good pace but couldn't use his right foot to save his life. Not overly impressed with the latter. Stratford was garbage IMO. Sanchez looked alright but needs to stop taking so many touches. Foran wasn't in the game at all. Ross looked like a good wee player, a bit of speed as well. Need to learn when to shoot next week as this walking it into the net business will get ICT nowhere.

Attacking 4-3-3 for me. Esson Proctor Bulvitis Munro Djebi-Zadi Imrie* Cox Eagle Sanchez Rooney Foran Subs - Allison, Hastings, Stratford*, Barrowman, Hayes Replace Stratford for Imrie if he's out.
