  1. It's the Rory Hate Campaign all over again. Hopefully these nutcases will crawl back into the woodwork where they came from.
  2. Yet another unfathomable decision by ICT. The club are always going on about how we're getting back in the SPL and all that, well wouldn't need money to do that? I could understand them them bringing it down to be open three days a week or something, but to get rid of it completely is stupid. ICT are always trying to portray themselves a "modern" club and always going on about going "straight back up" but do they believe that'll happen? I'm not sure they do, and this proves that some parts of ICT's thinking are still stuck in 1994.
  3. I know but I reckon the reason that has been is because ICT got relegated, and these league names next season might double up as this cup as well. Can't see it being Brora tbh.
  4. That's an ICT and County thing.
  5. I can't see Wyness coming to an ICT fun day any time soon.
  6. What about to the tune of YMCA - I..C..T! We all the love the I..C..T! We have everything that we need to go and we're gonna lift the cup! We all love the... I..C..T! and so... This could really catch on if there was a dance to go along with it.
  7. I reckon - 1. Dundee 2. Pars 3. ICT 4. Partick 5. Queen of the South 6. Ross County 7. Ayr 8. Raith 9. Livi 10. Morton
  8. I didn't know Hartley went to Bristol City.
  9. Well I can confirm that as of yet I've received zero nasty, offensive hate mail over questioning Terry Butcher. But here's the thing, there was a time on here when if anyone said anything positive about Brewster, it was perceived to be the most taboo, disgusting thing on Earth, and I feel it's sort of the same now with people questioning Butcher. I don't know whether or not Butcher will be the man to lead ICT over the course of next season, but I'm not sure he's as great a boss as some make him out to be. He's great at PR, there's no doubt about that, but tactical errors like moving Tokely to centre-half, isn't a million miles away from what Brew did with Proctor, and when you look at the way he went into the last game of last season with Mihadjuks at right back was almost identical to what Brew did the December before with Proctor at CB and Duff at RB. Is Butcher the man for the job? For me it remains to be seen.
  10. Did it not mention in the article, that (according to a historian) Gaelic wasnt even around in Scotland at the time during which this movie is set? Al wager that the inclusion of gaelic is a move to ensure funding for the movie or something! I don't know how true this is, but I'm guessing it is, is that Scottish Gaelic is just a sort of regional dialect of the Irish Gaelic, in a similar way that Scots and Doric are dialects of English, which goes onto beg the question, does that make Scottish Gaelic a real language? I would say no it wouldn't, it's rather a dialect spoken by a few tens of thousabds of people.
  11. I was looking through one of the old Gaelic threads on here from a few months back (the one about roadsigns and accidents IIRC), and someone on there said that there was some folk I'm guessing in a government position wanted to build new villages where Gaelic was the only language! You couldn't make it up. But here's the thing, if something like that happened, isn't that just a light apartheid? It seems as time goes on the Gaelic gang keep trying and trying to get Gaelic in the everyday lives of folk, but from what I can see it sets people further apart, and you can't seem to complain about it cause then you get called a racist and a bigot (as I have seen from frequent comments pages on the Highland News website).

    So....

Perhaps is the word that springs to minds here. But when it all comes down to it, the team that takes their chances, finds a balance of what suits that and has a bit of luck will succeed in the end. There's no doubt ICT probably have one of the best squads in theleague but I feel a deep factor could how they fare in the last few minutes of every game, espcially with a close scoreline. Time and again ICT have suffered from late goals that have cost them dearly and I reckon that could once again be the difference between promotion and non promotion next season.
  13. Did Allison not brake his jaw or something recently? I was under the impression he'd be out for months and months. On topic though, who's the poster who doesn't like Fraser at all? I think it might be SMEE. He'll be in tears when he sees this!
  14. Juanjo was another one. Came at the same time as Djebi-Zadi. Brew said he thought he was good, but didn't sign him because he felt he wasn't any better than what ICT had at that point. He then had a trial with County but they also felt he was no better than what they already had, they also had a couple of similars players that they felt were just as good, Richie Hart being one of them. There was another one a few months ago, Ryan Harper or something, as well as Ibrahim Atiku a Ghanain internationalist.
  15. Yes he was a proven goalscorer at this level but that was years ago and he was much younger then. IMO Brew was dead right to let him go (he should never have brought him back), as he just wasn't up to it at all. He might be alright in SFL1 but I doubt he'd return. I would also agree now that with Sanchez now signed ICT don't really need another stiker, one thing they could do with though is a creative centre-midfielder (though Sanchez or one of the new signings like Cox or Stratford could be up to that).
  16. Is it just me or is Gaelic being made to look in a far more healthier state than it actually is these days? There seems to be Gaelic this, Gaelic that and a whole heap of other stuff that seems to have popped up in the last couple of years. I can't see the justification in the money it gets at all.
  17. Nah, wouldn't want him back but knowing our luck Butcher would put him ahead of Esson again and Esson's the keeper you want in SFL1, far better all round keeper. The nice thing about Esson as well (and someone mentioned that Kyle Allison seems to do it as well) is that every time is he does have the ball in his hands, aimless punts forward aren't his first option. When Fraser used to have the ball in his hands after catching it from a cross or something his tactics to hold it, hold it, hold it some more, have a look around to see who's available (usually one or two players [by now the oppostion defenders that were in the box moments ago are long gone]) , hold it a bit more and then a long punt forward.
  18. Absolutley not, he was poor for St. Mirren last season, and pretty rubbish in his last two seasons at ICT, no thanks.
  19. I'd like to see Duff brought back in far more regularly next season, the times I saw him last season, I reckon he could cut it in the SPL, and he is yet the finished article, he could be a decent player with a bright future at ICT. On Proctor, yes I do agree that Proctor would be good at defensive midfield, as can be seen by me puting in a central midfield role in some of the recent line-up threads, he's not a bad passer of the ball (better than Duncan anyway) and could do well in there.
  20. how much were you for your county season ticket renegade? I'm sure you'll like the south stand Now why would I want a County season ticket? I'm an ICT fan.
  21. And as if on cue, here's another silly point scoring post from DALNEIGH CALEY. Do you get some sort of sexual pleasure from replying to my posts? the way you constantly reply to them you'd think so.
  22. I see some clubs's announcer actually annouces the teams on. For example just when the teams are coming out, for example you could go: "And here now is the team from Dundee, Dundee FC, and the men in red and blue, the greatest team in the Highlands.............Caley Thistle!" It could be a good way of getting the crowd going when the two sides come out. Ever thought about doing something like that?
  23. Jimmy Carr is just boring IMO saw him on TV the other night and he was nothing special at all. Alan Davies is quite good on QI but he's another one who's stand-up stuff is nothing special, same goes for Bill Bailey who just isn't funny. And lastly, even though it's at TV programme I'm going to have to nominate Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps. It has to be one of the worst TV programmes I've ever seen. Not remotely funny at all.
  24. Just wanted to know where people think the best place to sit at Caley Stadium is? For me it has to be the North Stand, out of the rain and I quite like the way the team come towards you in the attack. I don't think wild horses could drag me to that Main Stand to be honest. It's position means you either get the wind in your face, the rain or worst of all the bright sun. I don't think you get such a good view from there either. Discuss
  25. And said I stick by it. Understand?
