  1. Very good gentlemen. Now back on topic....................**** off Brewster.
  2. I was never the biggest Graham Bayne fan but i'd take issue with that comment. We've really missed his experience this season and if he was in our squad he'd be starting more often than not. When Brewster let Bayne go, did he realise that we would go into the new season with such an inexperienced group of strikers? I'm inclined to believe that even Brewster wouldn't have made such a strange decision and that the budget for playing staff was reduced shortly before the start of the season as a result of the Niculae debacle.
  3. Grant Munro was definitely a big Caley fan when he was a kid. Jamie Duff, being a bit too young to have stood on at Howden End, may well be the first 'pure' ICT fan to have played for the club.
  4. He's definitely not responsible for our atrocious home form.
  5. Yup, i've heard this as well. No chance of Robbo and Grassa working together again either. Let's move on. If we had a vacancy for the managers job then we would be inundated with applications from experienced managers, as was the case at Dundee a fortnight ago.
  6. That's great. Hopefully Vigurs, Wood and Zander will follow.
  7. I dunno. Mike Smith's quite fat. Grassa's been slimmer. Too many fancy meals on expenses?
  8. 1 win in 8 games - 5 points from a possible 24. Is this our worst home run ever?
  9. Cowie might not be fit according to CB on the BBC Straight swap for Wilson? Don't bet on it.
  10. "I went to Ross County but the team were not in the same class as Caley were and my interest and passion for football began to wane." Brilliant. Some things never change.
  11. I'm not a fan of O'Rourke's but this quote chimes with some of things i was saying earlier in this thread: "Every government is a parliament of whores. The trouble is, in a democracy, the whores are us". Good links dbs - we can't make these cnuts represent us, but that shouldn't stop us from trying to hold them to account.

Straight from the Craig Brewster book of football mismanagement. I remeber a very similar quote from CB after he played Roy on the right against Rangers last season. Johan Cruyff was good enough to play anywhere - so was Beckenbauer, but Dougie Imrie isn't. Brew has to stop feckin about and play people in their best postions. It's the players who are played out of postion regularly who get pissed off with instructions from the bench during games. Cowie, Imrie, and Blackie - all shackled by tactically inept management are often seen either shouting at the bench or ignoring instructions.
  13. So is Stark just not bothering to watch ICT? If not, then i wonder who he is watching. There have been times this season when we've started games with three Scottish players under the age of 21. Is there another team in Scotland, never mind the SPL who has been doing that? Get yer @rse up to Inverness Stark.
  14. Yogi might be entertaining, but if he's such a great manager why are Falkirk below us in the league?
  15. Imrie played as a right midfielder at Hibs. When we have the ball, Imrie and Cowie support Wood, when we don't, they get back and defend. I have no problem with 4-5-1 at home as long as we get a result.
  16. He was on the bench on Saturday for the first time in a while - looked like he'd bulked up a bit.
  17. U21 Squad It's just been discussed on Sportsound that there are 10 uncapped players in the squad. Haven't heard of half of them. Steven Lennon is in the squad despite sitting on the bench for Partick. Jamie Duff, Garry Wood and especially Iain Vigurs should be aggrieved at this given the number of SPL games thay have played this season.
  18. A lot of Dons fans hated him - didn't think he was 'Aberdeen class' if there is such a thing. Definitely worth taking a look at. We've needed a left-back for a while and Byrne has loads of SPL experience.
  19. It looks like Duff is Brewster's fourth choice centre-half. Munro and McGuire will always play together if they are fit.
  20. We did play a few long balls yesterday - the difference was that Wood was winning them. He was a real handful for Hogg yesterday, and while he didn't have a shot on goal for the whole game, his physical presence and running was a big factor in providing the space for the wide players to exploit. The midfield was immense yesterday. In Blackie and Vigurs we have two dynamic, composed ball-players who aren't afraid to get stuck in either. Russell gave his usual in-your-face away performance and Cowie and Imrie got up and down the flanks, bursting forward when we had the ball and playing disciplined defensive roles when we didn't. We should play this midfield every week although they probably won't face up to more lightweight opposing players for the rest of the season - Shiels and Yantorno were awful. Another great ICT away day and i have to say i didn't think we had it in us.
