  1. Alan Simpson?
  2. Her husband is the Chairman's cousin. I'm not making any judgement on that, just putting it out there.

    Polworth's body language is disgraceful.

I see Polworth as a completely different type of player from Vigurs. His game is based on energy, running, bursting into the final third. Vigurs this season has been all about dictating play from deep, spreading passes around, taking responsibility by showing for the ball in difficult areas. We won't be able to replace that and I think our playing style will have to change as a result - we'll have to go longer more often.
  5. He's Greek. His mother is Greek Cypriot, and I think the Greeks are very hard working in their own way - just joshing cos the wife is from there. He had the excuse of having played the night before that day, but in the recent midweek game he just strolled around the park offering nothing.
  6. Even by Greek standards, Froxylias is extremely lazy.
  7. RiG's bang on with that reply. Robbo and the players deserved a show of appreciation for the effort and that's what we gave them. No celebrations, just a big loud display of support. I know Morton weren't really playing, but we were just brimming with confidence throughout the team, pounding them for the first half hour and playing some great football at times. Seedorf, Chalmers, Oakley, Trafford and McKay are all players i've had my doubts about at times this season, but they all had excellent games which tells us how well the team is working as a unit. This run might not have seen us into the play-offs, but it allows us to go into next season with a positive feeling, something that seemed unimaginable just 5 weeks ago.
  8. We're well covered for Willies on this Forum. Between you and your adversery, i'd say we already have a couple of complete roasters.
  9. It's very frustrating reading about announcements and rumours and rumours of announcements without a clue what this is all about. It would be nice if folk would share what they've been hearing on this thread.
  10. We were completely dominant without playing very well. Dumbarton were stuffy, even after the goal, and we struggled to find any space around their box. Doran, Austin and Oakley were ineffectual in this environment, but Polly and Vigurs kept plugging away and both created and missed decent chances. The goal brought scenes of joy and relief - you could really see how much it meant to the players. Their work-rate was incredible and they deserve huge credit for this run. From the look on Warren's face when he came off and from the way he was hobbling about in the stand later on, he's not going to be back any time soon. Some folk may be relaxed about this because Brad and Coll generally look solid together, but i'm concerned that we'll be exposed at right-back on Saturday, and in any other big games that may arise after that.
  11. Ridgers McKay Donaldson Warren Tremarco Polworth Vigurs Chalmers MacKay Austin Doran
  12. I can't believe people are moaning about the quality of the game - who cares. The atmosphere was great and the ending was perfect. It's been nearly 3 years since i had any fun watching Caley. The celebrations at the end today made it all worthwhile. I loved it.
  13. I've dragged my kids to some dismal away days recently and this was their first bit of football magic. A 93rd minute winner in a final right in front of us. Doesn't matter how bad the football is, there's not much in life that beats that feeling.
  14. Wish I hadn't been so wasted in Bucharest - i'm told it was a memorable day. Brechin was nice. Shame about the Young Team. I think we'll lose tomorrow and then get relegated. Currently trying to find odds on that outcome.
  15. We were well on top in the 1st half with Vigurs afforded loads of space to spray the ball about but we failed to convert the dominance into chances and the chances that did come were squandered by Oakley. In the 2nd, United had us sussed - they stymied Vigurs and targeted Seedorf from the opening seconds and got a lot of joy down their left. Even so, we remained a threat on the break where Polworth was wasteful. Ridgers, Warren and Tremarco had good games and Austin looked decent. But I'm worried. Worried that Dumbarton will have the measure of us, that we won't be able to break them down, that we'll lose our discipline in the face of their physicality and, most of all, that if we lose the final it will have a big effect on a psychologically fragile team. Next week's game could be far more important than the Challenge Cup.
  16. Mephistopheles: "not light loving" is the literal translation from Greek but more likely the name comes from the Hebrew term "plasterer of lies". Either way, sounds like Charlie.
  17. "an annual rental of £205,000" and now they've got the land they wanted. GTF Tulloch's apologist(s).
  18. Trafford for Bell and a change of shape was a pretty big call. Robbo's got every big call wrong this season, hence we have lost every game we've gone behind in*. And why does he have such a lame pool to choose from? We might be skint but we're far from the poorest club in this league. Why don't we have a right-back or a striker? It's an absolute disgrace that we can't touch Morton or Livingston at this stage of the season. *not sure if that's true but it feels like it.
  19. That's a horrible result. Time to start preparing for next season by blooding the youngsters and looking for a manager who knows how to prepare a team to compete in this league.
  20. Nice preview Don. Mind Jake will be serving his suspension for the most stupid red card of all.
  21. Baird move confirmed on Morton website.
  22. Either we're freeing up a wage to bring someone else in or finances are really dodgy.
