The HQ Honeys are going - tickets all arranged. Looking forward to a great night.

Was very strange, not being segregated from the opposition and also being in the Home seats. Quite oppressive in fact, as there were approx 1000 there and where we were sitting, only 5 of us with prominent ICT colours. Even more odd to actually hear the words of their "songs" close up. We felt that the boys were a bit overawed by the occasion, the stadium, etc and the serious injury to Kyle Allison may also have affected their composure. Only in the last 20 minutes did the boys actually play as they can and have done in previous games. Full marks, boys, for giving us something to cheer - the goals were very welcome!
-
Highlights were on Setanta prior to the Dundee Utd v Celtic game this afternoon. Steven Pressley a pundit in the studio, commenting that he and Calum (ref) got the decisions right! Also thought the first goal may have been offside and thought Esson hard done by!
-
That has to be the best ever video. Great! Absolutely fantabiosie!
-
Who you calling "old folk"?! And me being one of the Section G baddies! C u there
-
Not lots of folk go to the Reserves games except for OF and maybe also Aberdire. Quite a few of the 1st team players usually around to support the Reserves, otherwise family, friends, oaps, kids juping off school, those between jobs, whoever - what category do you want to join? All quite happy to make your acquaintance - also TB and MM will likely be there and a few others maybe. For Aberdeen, Tangoman and his Deputy usually attend. Make your choice, but be warned, no refreshments for sale so, bring your own. What do you expect for free? Enjoy the day.

Please.... please, Starchief and Renegade... Can I please be the first to pull the chain and flush IHE into waterfilled whatever! I can visualise it now - what a wonderful sight - both sides of his a.se - tattooed or not - just flushed out of sight! Thanks - am a much happier bunny now! (ps - he must have days off as no awful responses - hurray).
-
No turnstiles. Free entry. Park in the away car park and the exit gates will be open there (or should be by 1.55pm!). Enjoy the game - no hassle and usually good craic! Maybe we will all meet up in the Main Stand!
-
All together now - North Stand - I'd rather have a brush than a Combe.......
-
Some folk have no taste! Keep the binoculars ready, ladies - some of the boys are worth more than a glance!
-
Was considering going UNTIL I noticed that the Away terracing is not available! Not my idea of fun to stand alongside Co.nty fans for an hour and a half.... might reconsider if any ICT bods will join me - who's willing to make a noise that night! and have some fun?
-
Good Gawd - You do my head in, IHE! Your posts are enough to make me try to throw the computer out the window. What an a..e you can be, it used to be Marius is crap, always is, always was, now its Lionel - don't recall you posting so much anti about Russell Duncan getting a red card, or Grant Munro losing us the game against Mudderwell. Go back into your box, please, Johndo, (and shut the lid)(and lock it too) and let us continue to enjoy the posts when you miss a game and we don't have to put up with the same old vitriol time and time again. You give the impression of being a frustrated non-football manager and by your comments never will be more than a poor misguided philosopher/amateur wordsmith. P..s off, please. You may be funny to your mates but not to the most of us. And, if this gets me a warning, tough, as I am just so fed up of all IHE's team bashing. I support my team and criticise when I feel it is applicable but, surely Johndo, you must eventually come to realise that incessant negative criticism is not constructive, just destructive, in all walks of life, including football. And p..s off the sexist comments too...... Most ladies prefer watching football to the rambling of gits who spout out about it.

Absolutely GREAT! Who said we wouldn't get a point far less all three? Well done ICT! Many congratulations to you all.
-
IHE - which bar at the Muirtown - Canuck remembers me from there - maybe you will too! Eventually - when the mist clears!

When reading the national or local Press, it should nearly always be "believe 10% of what is printed and the other 90% they may have dreamed up/invented/embellished (or copied from other newspapers without checking)". That edict seems reasonably accurate in regard to the Inverness Courier reporting of our game last week in regard to "was it a penalty". Red card to the Courier and their reporter - were they actually present on the day?
-
What does it really matter - as long as Terry does the business? Come on ICT supporters and get behind big Terry and his sidekick Mo and lets be having you, as old Delia Smith said, yonks ago! Onwards and upwards and still in the SPL.
-
What an incentive to go to a game at Dingwall! Never mind who to support?
-
I am really really disappointed in our ex manager. I gave him full support and believed that his injured shoulder was the main cause for him not pulling on a shirt and aiding our team when we needed a striker and, we so needed a striker - he must have, or should have, seen that a mile away. Now, days later, out of a job, his shoulder is ok enough to get on his shirt and play for Ross County. What a poor show. He had my support. Not now.

In the North Stand, we (and the players and the subs obviously when warming up) enjoy the noise, love bouncy bouncy (not been many recently), foot stamping, and especially the drums and would never want to have the encouragement diminished. The only swear word that is unacceptable in every stadium is c...t and that seems universal everywhere so, please, ICT fans eliminate that one word and everyone will join in all the singing, every song except one that includes that word. Long live the North Stand and the singers therein, especially Section G. My favourite place in the Stadium. Never will I move to the Main Stand to be in with the sweetie wrappers, silent, in the wind, rain, sun etc., I'd rather be happy with the real fans.

The definition (in my old Chambers dictionary) of a Supporter is : One who supports, a backer, or defender. Then, please, lets all support, back, defend Inverness Caledonian Thistle and return to the supporting, backing, defending our team, once and for all, no matter who the Manager is. Surely by now we are all tired of the slagging off whoever, whenever, whatever - please! I love my Club and want it to prosper. Come on - all of you - or do I need to shout like Delia Smith did once at Norwich City!! (Think I sound like her - wish I had her money!) Just waiting for the usual backlash and, no, I am not a scorned lady as previously commented on a previous posting.
-
Now I remember why I seldom post and the responses here confirm it - make a comment and get shot down in flames, criticised, comment taken out of context, misconstrued, etc - can't people see that the Directors organised this with Kath, as she is Bus Convener for the Supporters Club. Surely its for the benefit of the Supporters and our Football Club and maybe, just maybe, more people will travel on the supporters buses in future. It is will be interesting to see how many turn up to go on the Supporters bus for the next away game when payment has to be made. Very sorry I posted "last night" and not Wednesday night - dreadful error for me to make to those who are always accurate.
-
Please note everyone: The free buses are entirely an arrangement between the Board of ICT and the Supporters CLUB, and nothing to do with the Trust or their meeting last night. The Trust may claim their involvement but it is entirely nothing to do with the Trust, but everything to do with the SUPPORTERS CLUB.
-
Unfortunately, despite being a paid up member of the Trust, I will be unable to attend the scheduled meeting next Wednesday evening. However, I wish to make a few points, as I believe this meeting may have more than one agenda, ie 1. The members of the Trust wish to ascertain the views of their members in regard to the current league position of the Club - yes. 2. Only members of the Trust, at this meeting may speak or vote - is this not an indirect, veiled, way of trying to increase membership? Surely those attending the meeting could listen and then make up their minds if membership of the Trust is worth ?10 a year? 3. The Trust should put their own house in order at the same time as trying to advise the Club about theirs - eg my Trust membership newsletter arrived today, 3rd January 2009, in the same post as my membership card for 2008/2009, despite payment for same being made in October 2008. Mid-way through the season is not the time for membership cards to be received - a very poor show. As a member of the Trust I see the Trust giving monetary support to the Football Club, to youth groups, ballboys, etc which, despite all being extremely worthwhile, are a bit exclusive (or is that inclusive?) and leaves the ordinary "common or garden" supporter thinking what really is the point of the Trust and what does it do really for the man/woman in the Stands? As a very long time ICT fan and season ticket holder, I attend almost all away games but seldom, if ever, see any member of the Trust committee in attendance - likely due to work/family commitments but - I have the same commitments and manage to adjust my schedule/money accordingly to support my beloved ICT. I do hope the meeting on Wednesday night is productive and not entirely destructive but, from some of the posts, I am not very hopeful. Remember, fans, its Inverness Caledonian Thistle Football Club we support and the main objective of the meeting must be for the good of the Club at all times.

Quite right Smee about the blue strips - I vaguely remember a cold day at the footie, as a wee bairn, cheering on the team in blue running onto the field and then saying to my Dad - "Who are they, playing for Caley" - and the reply was "Shut up - that's Peterheid". Learned after that to keep quiet. Not so, when at Telford Street, one lady whose husband was an ardent fan of Caley, and sat in the Stand beside us (with Anne Shaw as was, her Dad, and Neil Smith's wife and daughter) but had to be explained to, that teams changed ends at half time - to her husband's exasperation and our quiet but hopefully disguised humour! Happy days. Also remember when it was a Peterhead throw-in, the call from their support was "Tis a heid ba"

Wow - had totally forgotten the white mice! That was umpteen years ago! I also fondly remember the displays in the Playhouse, a wonderful childhood experience. Thanks for the reminders.
