  1. Oh dear, Johndo - I will really miss meeting up with you again next week - I am not able to go to Killie as I promised to go to the 10 year Ball at Drumossie and cannot get back from Killie in time for the Dinner. At the game, please shout even louder and get the singing going even better than usual, just for me. During the game, I will be chewing my fingers whilst listening to the radio and regretting buying my ticket for the Dinner and, even more important, missing my "pecker" from you after the final whistle! See you soon!
  2. I seldom post on this Forum and now remember why - posts are nitpicked and torn to bits - ie Arbroath2ICT5 - where did you read between the lines that I thought it was ok for a member of the Supporters Club to miss games? My post was about my regret at missing one game, not anyone else. I cannot speak for other fans, whether they are in the Supporters Club, Trust or neither. Constructive criticism is welcome but drawing incorrect conclusions is not.
  3. I find all this "I went to the away game so I'm a good supporter" a bit over the top. Many fans would like to go to all games but cannot, for umpteen reasons, mostly financial and/or family. I have no family reasons, only financial and can only go to the away games primarily because I give up holidays etc - each away day is ?12 on the Supporters bus and whatever else I spend on the day over the top of entrance and programme. I am, I suppose, a saddo as I prefer to go to the likes of Airdrie (have no idea what the place is like but the Stadium is nice despite being deserted on three sides!) instead of Cyprus or wherever (hate hot sun anyway)(cost of holiday there is virtually equivalent to my seasons away days). I have been to countless away games over the years but have no idea what the areas around the stadiums are like. However I can recall the stadiums and the games - who wants to know about the surroundings, only the results are important to me. It's all a matter of choice and as long as there is a Supporters bus to the away game, I'll be there - except for a week Saturday - who arranged that??? I've paid for my Dinner, didn't realise there is no dance and now will miss away Cup game at Killie. What a dilemma and even now trying to decide between Killie and Drumossie - anyone want my Dinner ticket?
  4. What great goals - at the start I thought, oh dear how many times it showed misses and not actually scoring a goal but then, oh the goals, and then more and more goals. How we wished for a goal from Dargo - how many games did he go before scoring (16 or 17? - it certainly seemed like it, but then he did, and scored umpteen). Many many thanks Dan_ICT - brought back so many good memories of happy times. Oh, I do hope these days return sometime soon, but... like countless others, I miss the days of Wilson, Rankin (especially for free kicks) etc etc.
  5. Heilandee..... I love you - someone who posts and makes me laugh. More power to your elbow or whatever! There should be more laughter on this Forum and, by the way, totally agree with all your sentiments. Hate them all. Lol

    Thanks a lot ICT.

You lot have nothing to compare with my predicament! My nephew was encouraged to come North from Nottingham after Christmas - what did he and family encounter - Hogmanany Party at Northern Meeting Park cancelled (playing a cd of the Red Hot Chili Pipers was no recompense) - then ICT Game v Ross County postponed (after I had taught his two daughter to sing "who put the o and u in County etc (hoping they didnt understand)(and bought 4 tickets which are now surplus). Then after we dug the snow from around the cars and he eventually set off south - what happened - the team has supported for umpteen years win against Man Utd! Auntie is NOT flavour of the month! ICT better win the rescheduled game or else! By the way, I think I will be expected to contribute towards the cost of the tickets for Leeds v Spurs! Is there anywhere I can hide in Tulloch Stadium?
  7. Am told that the "catering staff" were in the Inshes Gate Travel Lodge on 1st Jan, having travelled from Edinburgh, and absolutely gutted at losing their overtime rates when the game was called off! Shame!
  8. Anything, except that awful black away strip we had for 07/08 and 08/09. Like a mug, I paid whatever it was to have my name on it, my name ended up on the back somewhere, the neck of the top I got was so tight it wouldnt go over my head without breaking the stitching, so it has hung on a hanger ever since, never to see the light of day again. The players looked like 11 referees on the park and only once did we win in that strip as far as I can recall (mind you, it was the game v Rangers at Ibrox when Ian Black scored THAT penalty towards the end of a midweek game! ooh memories!). Never again a black strip, please.
  9. Pele - tickets available are in North Stand, Section G. Two in Row P, two in Row M (2 for adults, 2 for junior). Available, unless IHE takes one beside me! Beware, I am an oldie, tend to scream a bit, shout a bit and generally behave badly!
  10. IHE - will give you a ticket but not the sledge! Need the sledge in case of snow the next time my rels venture over the border. However, reading between the lines etc (!) does that mean you want one of my tickets and would then be sitting beside me? In the words of Buffy et al...... Ooooh! What a start to my (and your) 2010!!!! Anyone else want any of the rest of my spare tickets ?
  11. Anyone want two adult tickets and two childrens tickets for Section G North Stand for the re-scheduled game? My family who came all the way from Nottingham are so disappointed - the Hogmanay Party cancelled, the game postponed - still, the girls have been sledging for the first time ever so they got one plus for the week. They obviously won't be able to come North to a mid-week match and bang goes ICTs good luck charm - Iona, who has never seen her team lose yet.
  12. Me plus usual suspect who has season ticket seat next to me, plus my nephew, his wife and two young daughters, just arrived today from Nottingham. They are Leeds supporters(!) and Iona-Skye (elder daughter) has never seen their team lose - she is our good luck charm for Saturday. We are all in Section G, so we want plenty foot stamping, singing, etc to help keep up her record. Just hope we are all fit to foot-stamp and sing after being at the Hogmanay shindig - it will be an experience for them to hear the Red Hot Chilli Pipers, having braved the weather and road conditions to be here!
  13. I thought Adam Rooney had a 2/3 year contract. If that's the case, then the Club would get money for him. I do hope he doesn't go, as he's really getting his confidence now and the goals are coming.
  14. Thank you - The Knowledge. I used to read this Forum for a laugh, but they have been few and far between recently. However, your last message made me laugh, even though I don't like macaroni pies - the hot chocolate was ok on Saturday, even though they ran out of stirrers.

  16. At least three ladies will be there, on the touchline, looking out for the talent on the field!

    Pre Merger?

I was taken to see the Highland League teams as a five year old! Liked the ones in Blue, so I'm told, and thus have been a Caley supporter since 19oatcake (am now a newish OAP, or "coffin dodger" as some would say). I've followed Caley ever since, and then ICT up through the Divisions. IHE - you are sooo correct - we all hated Elgin the most (I was spat on there after we had won at Borough Briggs), then Ross County and we just about tolerated the Jags! Clach were not even considered, poor souls - still, I enjoy the friendlies there now and will be there on 7th July - lovely to stand virtually on the touchline. Oh yes IHE, the memories of changing ends at half time! Happy days! I remember, as a teenager, being very miffed at Brora when a player I quite fancied was sent off (wrongly!!). I was so furious I went and sat in the bus for the rest of the game! Sorry, Mods, this should be in Memories, shouldnt it?).
  18. Also, there's no sign of a Testimonial Match for Richard Hastings - his Testimonial Dinner was months ago and surely the game (if there's going to be one) should be arranged by now - what's the update from his Testimonial Committee?
  19. I was at game and have tried to vote - but - there seems to be a glitch in the system. Why - or do the "powers that be" not want any votes today?

    Fans

My season ticket is Section G and I stood for lots of the game today and sang as much as I could, clapped most of the game and ended up exhausted at the end - the atmosphere was great. I'll be back for next season, in Divison 1, and hope the singing is just as good then. Well done, fans, one and all.
  21. I've attended all home games and all but one away game for the past seasons and hope to do so in the next season, even if it is Divison 1. But - will a bus be running? I don't fancy driving to away games and back home again (except to Dingwall, of course!). I just hope that enough supporters book onto the Supporters bus to make it possible for the away support to continue to go and support the team. The bus will only be booked if enough people book to go - it cannot go to every away game and incur a loss, so - please - all true supporters - book on the bus and at least show support for the team in Division 1 - we wont be there for long (we hope!). Rant over - still upset over todays result but, onwards and upwards - positive thinking, please!
  22. IHE - after Killie game Lionel is my hero, (he even seemed to do some step-overs like Ronaldo!) with you in 2nd place - but where was my hug! Remedy this IHE, next Saturday or else ?! Spoke to Lionel at Stadium recently and he was well chuffed with chants re his name - must tell him now that there is actually arm movements too, to go with the chants! He will be well pleased. One game a hero, the next ?
  23. I met Zibi at one of the Fans Nights at the Stadium last season and he was a really nice bloke to speak to. Spoke highly of how he and his family enjoyed living in Inverness so much more than Edinburgh! Only wish our present goalies could roll out the ball accurately to the full backs the same way he did. Also spoke to Markus and he was even nicer!!!!! Charming and polite. I hope they both get on well in their new teams, in spite the criticisms they received on this Forum.
  24. After his showing on Saturday at Ibrox, if the under 19s Wilson is on the bench this coming Saturday, everyone better keep their fingers (and everything else) crossed that Mikey doesn't get injured or red-carded. No way is Wilson an SPL goalie - maybe in several years to come but certainly not now.
  25. Can I ask the question - is the Reserves league definitely being scrapped or is it just a proposal?
