  1. I find it shocking that someone at the Club didn't know about the Supporters buses! Have they no interest in the Football Club at all? or just the pay packet. A very black mark to whoever it was (or a red card). Maureen in the Shop travels on the Supporters bus to nearly every away game. Staff at ICT office obviously don't read their own paperwork - the programmes always have a bit about the away games. There's even a stone in the wall saying "bus leaves at 10". Unless an extra long journey, the supporters bus always leaves the Stadium at 10am sharp for Saturday away games. Mid-week games are time organised as required.
  2. Yes, there will be a bus to Ayr and I will be on it.
  3. Sorry - hit end and wasn't finished! The bus HAS been searched in the past and no alcohol found - other buses travelling from the city have fallen foul of this law. I leave it up to you, Supporters, doubtless I will get plenty flak for even daring to put this on the website. My skin is much thinner than Kath's and I don't have a Bob to help. I take offence easily so no calling me a **** as I am unsure quite what is meant. I won't get to the away games either if there's not a Supporters bus and NO I will not be the bus convener as I couldn't take the stress. No thanks. Incidentally I saw IHE give Kath a hug/kiss at the QoS game so he's a fan of hers, despite not being able to get a seat on a Supporters bus from Chorley.
  4. After years of being criticised, bad-mouthed, appreciated by only a few, Kath has had enough and is giving up being the Supporters bus organiser. I certainly appreciate all she does for the Supporters Club, but few others realise all the time and effort she puts into the Club. Who wants to take on this thankless task, with this list :- Every season, bearing in mind countless changes in diesel costs, prices have to be negotiated - this season a 51 seater needed 45 bums on seats @ ?12 (current price per person) to just about break even, a 29 seater cannot break even and a mini-bus likewise. Most buses have run at a loss and so the Supporters Club has to subsidise the cost but this cannot continue. The seat price has to remain competitive with public transport but fund raising events are only attended by a few and requests for other ideas for raising money have been unsuccessful. Over 40 local/national firms were asked for sponsorship of the buses with no joy (replies could be counted on one hand). The bus convener gets countless phone calls and texts (even when on holiday) for seat bookings (then cancellations as the person is getting a lift, going by train, or worse - not even turning up on the day, thus leaving empty seats which may have been filled. Taking verbal abuse and website abuse, when a bus is not going to a game (Morton for example) despite not enough names to even cover half the cost. Taking abuse when the bus is full (demands for another bus to be put on - even for 5 or 6 - evidently their right to get a seat on a bus) - this hasn't happened whilst ICT in SFL but will likely happen again when we are in SPL. Then there's all the whys - Why are we leaving at that time - we'll be too early, or, what about the roadworks - we'll be late for the start of the game; Why go into Perth, why not go into Perth; Want to go to the pub, don't want underages near a pub; Want to sign on the bus, don't want singing(!). (PS I have tried to encourage singing a few times but all the young boys up the back preferred to sleep!). So, who has the answer ? And, more importantly, who will organise the buses in future - bearing in mind that the rule of "no alcohol on football buses" is strict and if any booze is found in the bus, the driver, the Club and the organiser of the bus are liable to receive heavy fines. It isn't Kath's rule, it's the Police's, and the bus HAS
  5. Senior ladies get their stadiums mixed up - just as well we have the bus to take us. Must be thinking of the Premier Division already - despite the state of the pitch there.
  6. Sorry - Firhill - senior moment! Still carried away with the euphoria!!!!!
  7. We didnt! Why would Smee?

Many congratulations to Shaun Miller who, today, despite being disabled due to cerebral palsy and unable to walk unaided, undertook and completed the mile from the Black Bridge to Clach Park, to raise money for Clach. Shaun is an avid ICT fan and attends all ICT games, home and away, and would attend Clach games if they were held on a Sunday instead of clashing with ICT games. He is an inspiration to us all and, to date, has raised over ?2000 to help Clach from going under in these difficult financial situations. Well done, Shaun - you are a top guy.
  9. You are never alone in Section G, North Stand! Just join in the singing/chanting/stamping etc and you will be among fans/friends. Speak to the person next to you and then you are fellow fans. As a designated past-it female, I have never found going to the footie alone to be a hindrance - I was very apprehensive going alone at first but then I spoke to the others around me, including special fans (Johndo!) and now.... he's one of many I look forward to meeting up with at games, home and away. You certainly would not have felt alone at Fir Park on Saturday - what a day, what an atmosphere, what singing - pity they had such a good international goalie! we could have had more goals. But, we are top of the League!!!! All those who were not there - what a shame - we had a great time and the euphoria of the final whistle, with the players, manager and fans response, remains.
  10. Thats the spirit Bauhaus! Lets get up them and get on them and whatever it takes ! I only hope that no-one of Airdire dives in the 18 yd line towards our Ryan Esson - and likewise no-one does a Barrowman and continually tries to bait our Russell (totally unacceptable last Saturday - thats the last time I pass the time of day with you Andy! in our local shop!). Bring on three points on Tuesday and Saturday and then who else will Believe !? ps With Chisholm in charge, will that mean that Dundee players will spend more time face down on the grass feigning injury then playing football, similar to our visit to Dumfries? What a load of actors? Oscars for many of them. The jury is out.

Having been at the Dundee game, I still don't think it was Bulvitis' fault that they equalised - the deflection was unfortunate but.... could have happened anyway as the defence were panicking after Brian Kerr's goal. There seemed to be a total lack of composure from then on. Today, Proctor had an off day - most, if not all of his passes went to Morton, so his confidence will not be 100%. Surely Nauris (with his ability to score) might be preferred, for the County game. I do rate Proctor but heads must over-rule hearts, sometime, and we MUST win against our neighbours. PLEASE.
  12. Why come no-one has commented on the Team Sheet having Nauris name back to front ?! Big plus + to Dundee for providing Team Sheets without having to buy programmes (and the programmes were only ?2 and double the size of ICT ones! - sorry). Again away game much better entertainment than home games - atmosphere - acknowledging subs (what a wonderful smile Sanchez has), singing, just a good away day altogether. One point is better than none, even if we all wished for three. Thanks, boys, for a good day out, again.
  13. Go to the Rugby at ICT Stadium on Friday evening to see players respect the officials - a lesson to be learned.
  14. Oh dear, Johndo - I will really miss meeting up with you again next week - I am not able to go to Killie as I promised to go to the 10 year Ball at Drumossie and cannot get back from Killie in time for the Dinner. At the game, please shout even louder and get the singing going even better than usual, just for me. During the game, I will be chewing my fingers whilst listening to the radio and regretting buying my ticket for the Dinner and, even more important, missing my "pecker" from you after the final whistle! See you soon!
  15. I seldom post on this Forum and now remember why - posts are nitpicked and torn to bits - ie Arbroath2ICT5 - where did you read between the lines that I thought it was ok for a member of the Supporters Club to miss games? My post was about my regret at missing one game, not anyone else. I cannot speak for other fans, whether they are in the Supporters Club, Trust or neither. Constructive criticism is welcome but drawing incorrect conclusions is not.
  16. I find all this "I went to the away game so I'm a good supporter" a bit over the top. Many fans would like to go to all games but cannot, for umpteen reasons, mostly financial and/or family. I have no family reasons, only financial and can only go to the away games primarily because I give up holidays etc - each away day is ?12 on the Supporters bus and whatever else I spend on the day over the top of entrance and programme. I am, I suppose, a saddo as I prefer to go to the likes of Airdrie (have no idea what the place is like but the Stadium is nice despite being deserted on three sides!) instead of Cyprus or wherever (hate hot sun anyway)(cost of holiday there is virtually equivalent to my seasons away days). I have been to countless away games over the years but have no idea what the areas around the stadiums are like. However I can recall the stadiums and the games - who wants to know about the surroundings, only the results are important to me. It's all a matter of choice and as long as there is a Supporters bus to the away game, I'll be there - except for a week Saturday - who arranged that??? I've paid for my Dinner, didn't realise there is no dance and now will miss away Cup game at Killie. What a dilemma and even now trying to decide between Killie and Drumossie - anyone want my Dinner ticket?
  17. What great goals - at the start I thought, oh dear how many times it showed misses and not actually scoring a goal but then, oh the goals, and then more and more goals. How we wished for a goal from Dargo - how many games did he go before scoring (16 or 17? - it certainly seemed like it, but then he did, and scored umpteen). Many many thanks Dan_ICT - brought back so many good memories of happy times. Oh, I do hope these days return sometime soon, but... like countless others, I miss the days of Wilson, Rankin (especially for free kicks) etc etc.
  18. Heilandee..... I love you - someone who posts and makes me laugh. More power to your elbow or whatever! There should be more laughter on this Forum and, by the way, totally agree with all your sentiments. Hate them all. Lol

You lot have nothing to compare with my predicament! My nephew was encouraged to come North from Nottingham after Christmas - what did he and family encounter - Hogmanany Party at Northern Meeting Park cancelled (playing a cd of the Red Hot Chili Pipers was no recompense) - then ICT Game v Ross County postponed (after I had taught his two daughter to sing "who put the o and u in County etc (hoping they didnt understand)(and bought 4 tickets which are now surplus). Then after we dug the snow from around the cars and he eventually set off south - what happened - the team has supported for umpteen years win against Man Utd! Auntie is NOT flavour of the month! ICT better win the rescheduled game or else! By the way, I think I will be expected to contribute towards the cost of the tickets for Leeds v Spurs! Is there anywhere I can hide in Tulloch Stadium?
  20. Am told that the "catering staff" were in the Inshes Gate Travel Lodge on 1st Jan, having travelled from Edinburgh, and absolutely gutted at losing their overtime rates when the game was called off! Shame!
  21. Anything, except that awful black away strip we had for 07/08 and 08/09. Like a mug, I paid whatever it was to have my name on it, my name ended up on the back somewhere, the neck of the top I got was so tight it wouldnt go over my head without breaking the stitching, so it has hung on a hanger ever since, never to see the light of day again. The players looked like 11 referees on the park and only once did we win in that strip as far as I can recall (mind you, it was the game v Rangers at Ibrox when Ian Black scored THAT penalty towards the end of a midweek game! ooh memories!). Never again a black strip, please.

Pele - tickets available are in North Stand, Section G. Two in Row P, two in Row M (2 for adults, 2 for junior). Available, unless IHE takes one beside me! Beware, I am an oldie, tend to scream a bit, shout a bit and generally behave badly!
  23. lizi replied to tm4tj's topic in Caley Thistle
IHE - will give you a ticket but not the sledge! Need the sledge in case of snow the next time my rels venture over the border. However, reading between the lines etc (!) does that mean you want one of my tickets and would then be sitting beside me? In the words of Buffy et al...... Ooooh! What a start to my (and your) 2010!!!! Anyone else want any of the rest of my spare tickets ?
  24. lizi replied to tm4tj's topic in Caley Thistle
Anyone want two adult tickets and two childrens tickets for Section G North Stand for the re-scheduled game? My family who came all the way from Nottingham are so disappointed - the Hogmanay Party cancelled, the game postponed - still, the girls have been sledging for the first time ever so they got one plus for the week. They obviously won't be able to come North to a mid-week match and bang goes ICTs good luck charm - Iona, who has never seen her team lose yet.
  25. lizi replied to tm4tj's topic in Caley Thistle
Me plus usual suspect who has season ticket seat next to me, plus my nephew, his wife and two young daughters, just arrived today from Nottingham. They are Leeds supporters(!) and Iona-Skye (elder daughter) has never seen their team lose - she is our good luck charm for Saturday. We are all in Section G, so we want plenty foot stamping, singing, etc to help keep up her record. Just hope we are all fit to foot-stamp and sing after being at the Hogmanay shindig - it will be an experience for them to hear the Red Hot Chilli Pipers, having braved the weather and road conditions to be here!
