  1. Just a reminder that the Supporters Club bus will leave from the Stadium at 10am on Saturday 25th September for our first visit of the season to St Mirren. Please phone the Hotline Number 0751 976 3507 to book a seat on the bus.
  2. IHE - in post no 39 - how could you call me a grouchy old git!!!! We used to be such pals!!!??? but the next time we have a hug, you better watch out! You might get more than you bargain for? Oh, what a stir-up, all over chants last Saturday and the over-use of the "c" word. And, you weren't even there.... ps. I have no need for a pakamac or tartan rug in Section G but admit to having a lovely pink fleece to aid my comfort in the cold winter games! Maybe IHE should try to keep me warmer? but no - he doesn't like our home games!
  3. Well said! Best laugh I've had all day - been a dull day!

    Away flag

As an every home game fan and an even bigger every away game fan, (the atmosphere is sooooo much better), I would be happy to put some money towards whatever is planned. Especially when those stewards at Dundee didnt let us have the banners placed where we wanted a couple of weeks ago! Even when we could see a Dundee United fan with a flag on a flagpole waving away (but not after we had scored twice)(they left not much later). More power to everyone's elbow, or whatever - big banners, flags or ...... Count me in.
  5. Sorry boys, and IHE, but I have had a season ticket for Section G since the North Stand was completed and I have no intention of givingup my season ticket for somewhere else. I was there long before the "Singing Section" decided to camp in Section G after the "open seating area" was a no-go, due to over-stewarding. I enjoy being in Section G, no rain, no sun, plenty atmosphere. I also join in the singing, chanting, foot stamping and especially enjoy if someone bangs the drums (not often enough!) - where have all our drummers gone? Maybe I didn't enjoy the constant use of the 'c' word last Saturday but, I kept my mouth firmly shut then as I am not one of the "sweetie-rustlers" and have had plenty "craic" with the boy/young men behind me over the seasons/years. I did join in the chorus of "Oh Inverness" to try to encourage the team, especially in the final quarter of the game. Surely, not everyone is tarred with the same brush - I don't shout abuse about our team, or our supporters. Likewise this forum should perhaps do the same. I await the backlash - I usually get plenty when I post - which is why I seldom do.
  6. Just a wee reminder - the Supporters Club bus will leave from the Stadium at 10am on Sunday 22nd August for ICT first away game this season v Dundee United. Bus seat prices remain at ?12 per person. Please phone Hotline number 0751 976 3507 to book.
  7. Supporters Club bus will leave the Stadium at 10am.
  8. Supporters Club bus leaves Stadium to travel to game. Phone 0751 976 3507 to book a seat on the bus.
  9. Buses have already been reserved with D&E Coaches, by the Supporters Club, for all the away games for season 10/11. The buses leave from the Stadium, usually at 10am for a 3pm kick off, but earlier for the Kilmarnock games (more miles to travel) and later for the Aberdeen and St Johnstone games (less miles to travel). The number to phone to book a seat on the bus is 0751 976 3507. The cost remains at ?12 per person. The Fans entry in the ICT website has been updated and likewise the entry in this Forum will be updated. Reminders to fans about the bus and the number to phone will be placed in this Forum before each away game. We hope to see you on the bus to Dundee on the 22nd.
  10. I'm sure Andy was at the Clach game with his video cam ?
  11. Johndo - serves you right for all the times you have slagged me off! You rose to my bait - many thanks. Will give you a big hug at the next away game, just for old times! Lol xxxx
  12. McCann played whole game today v Forres. Did OK and better than some of our usual 1st team who seemed a bit out of sorts - no names mentioned.
  13. Right now - own up ? Who on this Forum voted for "Our Tel" to be the first SPL Manager to get the boot in season 2010/2011 ? OK, Brewster may have been the first to be given the order of the boot (or "shoes off") from ICT, but, "Our Tel" - never (surely not) ! Not even if we went straight back to the SFL - we would bounce back from that too. Oh, ye of little faith! Remember the joys of umpteen wins - not in the SPL but in the SFL. I, for one, am reminiscing already about those wins and not, really, looking forward too much to the SPL. Sorry!
  14. I am still in a state of shock regarding an instance of a cyclist on the A9. I was travelling south on the A9 from the roundabout at the Stadium and after passing the slip road from the East, A96, traffic was coming onto the dual carriageway and I moved over to the outside lane as a cement mixer type hgv was on the inside lane and was going to let the traffic in. Then I saw a cyclist, no helmet, no high-vis clothing, on the outside of the carriageway, ie on the outside of the fast lane, cycling southwards! A death wish, if ever I saw one. Where was she going, why, and how did she get into the middle of the dual carriageway going south! As I turned off the A9, I have no idea where she went but, presume she arrived safely as there were no reports of fatalities in the press, thankfully. Sorry - it was a girl! I have every respect for cyclists on our roads but, this was madness.
  15. Oh, Caley D, you made my night! Gave me a great laugh - didn't notice that first time around. Many thanks.
  16. I find it shocking that someone at the Club didn't know about the Supporters buses! Have they no interest in the Football Club at all? or just the pay packet. A very black mark to whoever it was (or a red card). Maureen in the Shop travels on the Supporters bus to nearly every away game. Staff at ICT office obviously don't read their own paperwork - the programmes always have a bit about the away games. There's even a stone in the wall saying "bus leaves at 10". Unless an extra long journey, the supporters bus always leaves the Stadium at 10am sharp for Saturday away games. Mid-week games are time organised as required.
  17. Yes, there will be a bus to Ayr and I will be on it.
  18. Sorry - hit end and wasn't finished! The bus HAS been searched in the past and no alcohol found - other buses travelling from the city have fallen foul of this law. I leave it up to you, Supporters, doubtless I will get plenty flak for even daring to put this on the website. My skin is much thinner than Kath's and I don't have a Bob to help. I take offence easily so no calling me a **** as I am unsure quite what is meant. I won't get to the away games either if there's not a Supporters bus and NO I will not be the bus convener as I couldn't take the stress. No thanks. Incidentally I saw IHE give Kath a hug/kiss at the QoS game so he's a fan of hers, despite not being able to get a seat on a Supporters bus from Chorley.
  19. After years of being criticised, bad-mouthed, appreciated by only a few, Kath has had enough and is giving up being the Supporters bus organiser. I certainly appreciate all she does for the Supporters Club, but few others realise all the time and effort she puts into the Club. Who wants to take on this thankless task, with this list :- Every season, bearing in mind countless changes in diesel costs, prices have to be negotiated - this season a 51 seater needed 45 bums on seats @ ?12 (current price per person) to just about break even, a 29 seater cannot break even and a mini-bus likewise. Most buses have run at a loss and so the Supporters Club has to subsidise the cost but this cannot continue. The seat price has to remain competitive with public transport but fund raising events are only attended by a few and requests for other ideas for raising money have been unsuccessful. Over 40 local/national firms were asked for sponsorship of the buses with no joy (replies could be counted on one hand). The bus convener gets countless phone calls and texts (even when on holiday) for seat bookings (then cancellations as the person is getting a lift, going by train, or worse - not even turning up on the day, thus leaving empty seats which may have been filled. Taking verbal abuse and website abuse, when a bus is not going to a game (Morton for example) despite not enough names to even cover half the cost. Taking abuse when the bus is full (demands for another bus to be put on - even for 5 or 6 - evidently their right to get a seat on a bus) - this hasn't happened whilst ICT in SFL but will likely happen again when we are in SPL. Then there's all the whys - Why are we leaving at that time - we'll be too early, or, what about the roadworks - we'll be late for the start of the game; Why go into Perth, why not go into Perth; Want to go to the pub, don't want underages near a pub; Want to sign on the bus, don't want singing(!). (PS I have tried to encourage singing a few times but all the young boys up the back preferred to sleep!). So, who has the answer ? And, more importantly, who will organise the buses in future - bearing in mind that the rule of "no alcohol on football buses" is strict and if any booze is found in the bus, the driver, the Club and the organiser of the bus are liable to receive heavy fines. It isn't Kath's rule, it's the Police's, and the bus HAS
  20. Senior ladies get their stadiums mixed up - just as well we have the bus to take us. Must be thinking of the Premier Division already - despite the state of the pitch there.
  21. Sorry - Firhill - senior moment! Still carried away with the euphoria!!!!!
  22. What are you lot on..... you all know it was the Stadium neighbours out getting "one for the pot" for a late night snack - in other words, another poor wee bunny died of gunshot wounds. End of story, and end of bunny rabbits.

    Clach FC

Many congratulations to Shaun Miller who, today, despite being disabled due to cerebral palsy and unable to walk unaided, undertook and completed the mile from the Black Bridge to Clach Park, to raise money for Clach. Shaun is an avid ICT fan and attends all ICT games, home and away, and would attend Clach games if they were held on a Sunday instead of clashing with ICT games. He is an inspiration to us all and, to date, has raised over ?2000 to help Clach from going under in these difficult financial situations. Well done, Shaun - you are a top guy.
  24. You are never alone in Section G, North Stand! Just join in the singing/chanting/stamping etc and you will be among fans/friends. Speak to the person next to you and then you are fellow fans. As a designated past-it female, I have never found going to the footie alone to be a hindrance - I was very apprehensive going alone at first but then I spoke to the others around me, including special fans (Johndo!) and now.... he's one of many I look forward to meeting up with at games, home and away. You certainly would not have felt alone at Fir Park on Saturday - what a day, what an atmosphere, what singing - pity they had such a good international goalie! we could have had more goals. But, we are top of the League!!!! All those who were not there - what a shame - we had a great time and the euphoria of the final whistle, with the players, manager and fans response, remains.
