Richie Foran
Wow! What an advert for our Club Captain. With age comes experience, and eventually "keep the heid" and I, for one, thank Mrs Butcher, she saw what we see now - a player with heart. Whatever had gone before, Richie has done ICT proud. Good on you, Richie - a lovely fella and a charmer too!

Season ticket 2011-12
Certainly will. Have only missed two games all season (home and away) and will be in my usual seat in Section G, North Stand, for season 11/12.

Dubious Honour (sp)
Our record under Terry Butcher isn't too bad in that respect, although it doesn't come close to Pele's, what was it, three and a half seasons without a 0-0? We've only had one league 0-0 this season (against Motherwell), two last season (against County and Dunfermline) and one under Terry the season before (against Celtic, in his first game - which we can let him off with). Re the original post, though, I fully expect us to make an @rse of it against Hamilton - they're bound to win at least once before they take their leave, and given our record against them, we look like the most likely victims. Oh dear, Mary, I do hope you are wrong - we want to sing all day about who's going down - they would do it to us so we will do it to them and, to Doooogie too - he who didnt want to stay with us in the SFL and now where is he? Off to the SFL. Poor Doooooogie...

The race to the SPL
Last time ICT played at Kirkcaldy (Raith), one fan actually was so bored she counted the number of trains which passed during the game - 23! Do any of these trains stop, if requested? for fans to attend games?

Away Fans Issue....
There's a lovely lady steward, often at Section G, North Stand, who has banter with all the fans and gives out sweets every time she is on duty there. She is always smiling and gets the best out of everyone. Now, she's an example of how to be a Steward (I think her name's Helen). I hope she's there tomorrow.

Football on tv
I am neither pro or against Rangers or Celtic or whoever, in Europe, but will support any Scottish team in Europe with a majority of mainly UK players - which neither Rangers or Celtic do, or many of the English teams - hence my derision towards them. Our Scotland team is poor, due to the huge wages paid to foreign players in the Premier Leagues - hence our home grown players not getting their chances to shine. Having watched the "foreign stars" on Wednesday night at our Stadium, I conclude that our home grown talent is not far behind those over-paid big-headed "stars" but, as a "unknowing" female OAP, (despite watching footie since age 5 or so) who am I to make a comment. I wait in hope for the day (which wont come, I suppose,) when a cap will be made on the number of foreign players allowed per team - oh dear - human rights, equal rights, etc! Come on, IHE, support me in this, please. (OK, ICT has its own share of Irish/English etc, but not to the same extent - posters can slate me as much as they want but ICT has more Scots than "outsiders")(and I value the Irish especially highly )(for more reasons than one!). Please dont shout me down, everyone, I believe many of you support the same views.

And, if not a Rangers fan, you can always watch Liverpool on Channel Five.

what are your thoughts on referees of late
I think that the "sin bin" used in rugby is a good idea. Instead of just being shown a yellow card, ten minutes in the sin bin for a player to think about why he has been sent there. Then back on the field and, if a second offence, a red card and offski. Also, in rugby, the referee's word seems to be law, much less arguing back than in football - maybe they question a decision but then they get on with it. Wouldn't that be great in football!? No chance, really. Visualise Diouf or Scott Brown being sent to the sin bin and staying there - oh yeah!!!! Maybe not!

Hibernian -V- ICT : matchday thread
The supporters on Saturday, me included, were naming Eric - Eric "Waste of Space" Odhiambo. Just what does Terry see in him? He must work hard in training, or something. Every time his name is in the team lines, groans all round. Please Terry, put him on the bench and he can do some good coming on for the last ten minutes (maybe).

U20 Rugby International
You poor soul! Maybe you should have gone to the Social Club and joined in at the Supporters Club Race Night. Good time, great buffet and no getting wet! And no huffy Stewards there either!

Hibernian -V- ICT : matchday thread
Agree with you. Alex Macdonald looked good. Maybe a shame that Aaron Doran got his chance first but, then Macdonald can shine in the later stages of the league. He will get his chance, soon, after yesterdays few minutes. At least he was better for that few minutes than Eric was for over an hour. Just what does Mr Butcher see in Eric - we don't see it, but that's why we are not the Manager and he is.

Supporters Club - Race Night
Just to let you all know, the Race Night was a big success, despite the competition of a Scotland rugby game being held at the Stadium at the same time, which may have attracted some away from the Social Club. Special thanks go to the Race Sponsors, those who bought horses and those who contributed prizes to the raffle. We congratulate those who eventually won! either on the horses or in the raffle. The Committee are truly grateful and welcome you all to the next Race Night.

Hibernian -V- ICT : matchday thread
Ok, ICT were not great but, it was disappointing to see the rush of "fans" to the exit when Hibs got their second goal. We have been used to singing "Is there a fire drill" when we have witnessed the Old Firm etc fans leaving early but, ICT fans leaving early .....oh dear. My highlight of a poor day out was getting a nice big hug from IHE at half-time. My downlight (is there such a word/term) was mis-placing one of our older passengers from the bus (Lady Kath would have called him a coffin-dodger)(he was found, thankfully)(by Lady Kath)(who wasnt even on the bus!) but my blood pressure still is not happy. Oh, the stress!!! No wonder I am having to give the next away game to Dundee United a miss (going to a Ladies Away Weekend with lots of champagne etc etc). The blood pressure may be recovered by then! but I will miss my hug from IHE. I hope to make up for my missed hug at the next away game, promise, please, IHE ? !

Supporters Club - Race Night
It's for the supporters bus. Do you know how much it is to hire a 52 seater on a Saturday? Something in the region of ?450. The SC only charge something like a tenner a head so fundraising events like this subsidise the cost of the hiring of a bus. I don't really think supporters need to part with even more cash than they already do supporting the club what with ticket prices and food/drink etc. The club can perferctly afford to subsidise the team bus without the help of the supporters. If only the cost of the bus was in the region of ?450! I wish. Cost is well over ?500 and likely to rise next season due to the ever increasing cost of fuel. Many times, especially when other buses are run in direct competition to the Supporters Club bus, (ie to the "more attractive" games), the numbers are insufficient to cover the cost, hence the need to fundraise to keep the cost per head to a minimum.

Supporters Club - Race Night
To raise funds to continue subsidising buses to away games, the ICT Supporters Club have organised a Race Night in the Caley Thistle Social Club, Greig Street, Inverness, on Friday 25th February at 7.30pm. Entry is ?3 per person (a prize to the person buying a numbered ticket on entry to the event) with eight races to follow, cheer, bet on, whatever. Buffet included in entry price. Lots of good raffle prizes. Please encourage fellow fans to attend - all welcome.

MoM v Morton
Chris Hogg did a great job in his debut and got a goal so, well done that man. Is it only me or does he remind anyone else of Darren Dods. Even the way he walks - could we be the team to revive his career just as we did with Darren? However, just like the previous posters, I thought Doran was GREAT! I thought so when he came on as a sub in his first game. Definitely a find - just who are Terry's scouts? They deserve medals - they have picked a winner but, on the negative, I don't think we will see much of him after the end of the season - he has such talent and is sure to go on to greater things. Just wish he wasn't here on loan, a long term contract be a dream. Get to work on him, our Irish players, and convince him to stay for at least a couple of years. The Highlands is a great place and we appreciate good players - Section G are even trying to sort out a song for him already - such is their appreciation!
