  1. Hey GJ :sillywave: 5) We kept the CB training gear...no added cost there.
  2. :clapping03: Bit early to be on the Rigas Balsam though isn't it Latviaman...? :004:
  3. The thing that this website really excels at is the number of people who come on here and proclaim they 'know what is going on behind the scenes' then...er, leave it at that... Seriously...this is not sub-judice this is simple fitba' business, if you have something to tell us...then friggin' well say so!
  4. The Hootsman claims Charlie has made his mind up... http://thescotsman.scotsman.com/sport.cfm?id=1316662007 "CHARLIE Christie may have presided over his last match as the manager of Inverness Caledonian Thistle, after it emerged last night that he has asked to leave the Premier League club and faces talks with senior officials today. Christie will meet with director of football Graeme Bennett and chairman Alan Savage after becoming downhearted only 19 months after replacing Craig Brewster at the Caledonian Stadium. Both Bennett and Savage are keen to retain Christie, who has won 24 of his 66 matches in charge, but privately it is understood that the manager may have made up his mind to leave. Brewster, now playing for Aberdeen, would be a strong candidate to return to Inverness. Matters are believed to have come to a head with Christie in the aftermath of Saturday's 2-1 reverse at St Mirren. Inverness are rooted to the bottom of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League, with no points from their opening three matches, and the manager, a former player with Inverness Thistle, Caledonian and Celtic, has taken criticisms of his side's efforts to heart. If Christie does depart, and insiders have stressed it would be on mutual terms, Caley Thistle would be searching for only their fifth manager since entering the Scottish League in 1994."
  5. The turkeys rarely vote for xmas. As a supporter you could argue it would add to the fun...but there are 10 sets of directors that are not going to risk their company's financial future.
  6. Agreed...although no more than you'd expect from The Blob. :017: "Thank you for tuning in to BBC Scotland...we're sorry but the programme you have selected is not currently available online. We do stream many...blah blah blah." How many f-ing times have I heard that crap in the last 4 years?! :020:
  7. Re: The Stress of Management on: July 13, 2007, 10:36:09 PM Quote -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "...also assured that i was right in saying he wasnt up to the job last season." That looks like 'I told you so'. :024:

    US PGA

Yep, that just about sums it up. Managed to find the highlights on TV and Woods looked absolutely on top of it. We play here in those temps and even using carts it's a struggle. Despite the fact they are a pampered bunch...some respect definitely due them.
  9. Another symptom, I fear, of the sad decline in education standards, growth of txt spk & general laziness when it comes to our beautiful language. I blame the parents, the teachers, the police, but most of all I blame Gordon Brown who must bear the ultimate responsibility for this. He was quick enough to gather together COBRA when terrorists, floods and foot and mouth struck...well Mr Brown, what are you doing about this? At the very least Gordon Smith should be summoned to Downing St to 'video replay' this awful simulation of the English language. Then and only then will justice prevail and ICT will be docked, at the very least...err 3 points, err, no, that's not right...Charlie Christie, err, put on trial, no... Sorry I seem to have lost my way here... :029: :tic01:
  10. 'Mon the ICT...feckin' right! Radio Scotland completely screwed a usual... Am living in China...watching Bayern v Rostock live...listening to Hibs v Gretna...getting grief from wife who wants to watch a Sandra Bullock DVD ...oh, and trying to keep an eye on our web site's discussion of the 'Well game... ...this is awful!!!!
  11. CaleyD - one of your best posts! Well done sir. My time away from ICT coincides with our top flight adventure...the contrast in fans' treatment is the BIG factor that I've been painfully aware of. What must new fans think when they get nabbed for standing up to applaud the team taking the field? Not the fitba' game I recognise! But one I'm going to stick with...
  12. James Joyce or Joyce Grenfell? :002:
  13. If you look at the pdf section 'Sectarian Incident notification Form' there's a part that asks for the identity of the person notified of the incident...presumably, in the first instance that would be a steward. You might want to print off a copy of the form and have it handy next time the OF come visiting. On the other hand I have no idea who is in charge of this system and it might be a load of twaddle. :024:
  14. http://www.kickoutbigotry.org/index.php?n=62 I wonder if this will help improve things. If the stewards and police know their number will be quoted in an official report submitted through the above site perhaps they'll be more pro-active.

    Big Bobby Mann

Average age of those guy re-signing was less than 28 and well worth the punt on 'frees'... The legend that is Bobby Mann is 33. Sorry, but I think somebody somebody should be paying us to add him to the wage bill.
  16. Superb singing... "He's strong, he's tall, he can win the ball...he's Sol, he's Sol" © Rogers, Hammerstein, Yngwie.
  17. Must remind you of living in the Borders! I was wondering why I couldn't keep my eyes off it...still hoping to see re-runs of 'One Man and His Dog'...but that might be on the cookery channel!
  18. SP - thanks for the info re. availability of audio for overseas. On this side of the Pacific the BBC pages have been unavailable for some time so I wasn't even able to check the listing. Think I'll just stay in the pub and watch the tractor pulling championships (again.) :017: You know, in an effort to find some sporting action to view I've been watching some bizarre TV recently. I think yesterday's Ski-Doo racing was the lowest ebb (but I still watched it!). By the way, it looks like BBC will be putting the weekend highlights onto its website for 7 days...whether the great unwashed overseas will be permitted to participate... :008: :009: http://thescotsman.scotsman.com/sport.cfm?id=1220112007
  19. Deep Heat applied to the softer body parts usually sufficed on a January Saturday morning...but you're right Mantis, the first header on a wet day was potential GBH... Made men of us mind!
  20. Mantis was at their final game of that season taking pics with his box brownie... Birmingham City P42 W22 D10 L10 F92 A47 Goal average 1.957 Points 54 Luton Town P42 W23 D8 L11 F88 A53 Goal average 1.660 Points 54 (goal average is goals for divided by goals against hence they won it by 0.297) In them days it was goal average not goal difference. If it was GD they'd have walked it 45 to 35. Different times, better bovril and I do not like being called an old git... :blah01:
  21. Step forward...Mark Shields from Australia. How he managed to keep a lid on the Asian Cup Final between Iraq and Saudi Arabia is a mystery similar to how the wheel arrived in Dingwall. I've watched the match a couple of times now and the number of players falling down as if they'd been felled by a volley from an AK47...only to re-appear 30 seconds later...it could easily have been 9v9 at half time. Mr Shields I salute you... :021: :notworthy02:
  22. So Charles, which bit of "Don't let your Kids surf the www alone !" and "Warning, Adult content..." made you 'kick in' in the first place?
  23. :moon2: a carbon offsetting moon for those. Since the site went China Friendly it's been a boon...xie xie (thanks)
