  1. :tic01: Beware the four horsemen of a manager's demise: Player Unrest: Rumours abound of dressing room disquiet. Player Revolt: Chairman intervenes to quell a schism. Relegation Flirtation: Setanta cash flies out of window. Vote of Confidence: 'Nuff said. Perhaps Brew's efforts to get the lads off the Pringles and lager n limes may have unsettled a few of them but he's got a TEAM out there that are capable of taking 8 points nae probs.
  2. What a game to come home for...had every bloody thing! Pure entertainment. Superb. Well done Brew and the squad! (Oh, and Mikey Fraser was outstanding....Mark who?)
  3. Shen Dan Kuai Le, Xin Nian Kuai Le!!!!!! Stick that in yer anagram software... :sillywave:
  4. Noticed the message boards are full of 'tics comparing Brewster as an 'inspired tactician' to the inept future Scotland manager that is WGS. What next, Brewster for Scotland headlines? Well done ICT. You made an Irish bar in Shanghai very very quiet (save for one voice!). :clapping03: Truly inspired and as Gordy says - a reminder of days when a deficit at half time only made it more interesting. The Scotsman photo seems to show the 'singing section' empty - what gives with this?
  5. :crazy07: Great news...congrats both!
  6. You really think so? OK, next time they've run out of macaroni pies I'm going to give Wyness pelters. Just you watch me! Jeez! :029:
  7. From Sky's site: Here is one joke doing the rounds: "Barwick sees an old woman in the street carrying lots of bags. He walks up to her and asks, 'Can you manage?' "And she replies, 'I don't want the job!'" :029:
  8. OK we've been here, what's the prob with Black? Saw him control the middle of the park earlier in the season at Easter Road. Has there been a behind the scenes fall out?
  9. Important game. Marius to get a brace! :002:
  10. I thought that happened earlier this year. Apparently it serves no useful purpose and was due to be towed into the Atlantic and sunk. There was a petition against it on tintin.com but nobody else seemed too fussed it seems!
  11. jalipo is the site recommended by The Scotsman http://sport.scotsman.com/football.cfm?id=1811932007 Sadly not available to the good people of Italy, Puerto Rico(!!!), Ireland, USA....or CHINA. Ho hum, a glass of Qingdao beer, matches under the eyelids and Sky Live Updates...it's going to be a long night!
  12. Any information on whether Radio Scotland are broadcasting this to overseas web listeners greatly appreciated.
  13. http://www.competition-commission.gov.uk/r...text/134c02.pdf Paragraphs 2.17-2.19 provide all the info you'll need for this one. Mind you I prefer to think it was caused by my tablet-baking granny in Leith who had a cupboard full of the stuff.
  14. Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori (it is sweet and right to die for your country)
  15. Apt words Scotty. Now the clocks have changed I turn off at half-time, 11.45pm local time. Unless it's the rare occasion ICT are the default main commentary. I suppose it's supply and demand. The Old Firm are global brands and can market their 'product' in every corner of the globe. One of the most popular sitcoms in China has 3 kids as main characters. Typically they are always dressed in NBA gear (basketball is big here). I was gobsmacked the other day when one of them appeared in full Celtic gear with Carling emblazoned on the front. Whatever anyone thinks of the club, it's a memorable strip and 500 million households just got an eyefull. I suppose if ICT signed a Chinese player... :024: OK, I'm off on a scouting mission :sillywave:
  16. BBC webpage listing: Live - Calzaghe v Kessler BBC Radio 5: "Due to contractual obligations we can't bring you the event that's currently live on air. There are many events that we do stream online. To find out which events check the listings online." :029:
  17. Pity abut the result but what strikes me looking at Soccerbase is the timing of the respective teams' subs. Rangers: 60, 61 mins ICT: 84, 86, 87 mins Has anyone actually ever enquired direct to Brew why he seems to own a different coaching manual to the rest of the managing fraternity?
  18. I'll buy...esp. if the club benefit!
  19. Astonishing! Do they know the effort you put in to provide ICT with a web profile? Numpties. Maybe IHE has a point re. the management! Ho hum :024:
  20. Second half underway and I'm getting it loud and clear in China. I feel like complaining to BBC that they are not blocking my enjoyment of Saturday fitba' as usual but I think I'll keep quiet for once.
  21. Imagine my surprise when I logged into Radio Scotland half an hour ago and have just listened to the last 30mins of the Killie v Celts game...go figure! Though now I've alerted them to this anomaly I'm expecting the usual blackout. :010:
  22. "France replaced the Netherlands in the top five as European sides once again dominate the table in terms of numbers; while the top two are South American, fully fifteen of the top twenty sides hail from UEFA. Nigeria are the top African team after rising to 19th place, while Japan lead the Asian contingent after jumping four places to 30th. While the FIFA rankings were formerly a mere curiousity item, they have recently taken on an extra measure of significance due to the fact that UEFA nations, and others, are set to use them as the basis for World Cup 2010 qualification seeding. As such, the likes of Scotland - who once again moved up one place to 13th - could be in Pot 2 for the qualifiers, having been in Pot 4 for the Euro 2008 campaign. India remain constant on 156, China dropped two places to 91, Australia moved down four ranks to joint-52 with Saudi Arabia. Georgia were the biggest winners, jumping 33 places to 71st, while Cape Verde fell 36 down to 112 in the biggest drop." Hard to remember the last time India or China competed against 'Top 50' opposition...so how on earth are they expected to make any impression on this beauty contest? I'll go with that!
  23. That was 1938. An excited 10 year old Mantis woke up on Xmas Day of that year to find Santa had brought him the world's first wide-angle box brownie...and 15 pixels to boot! The rest, as they say, is history!
