  1. Niculae needs a runner to take off into the channels...play the ball and get his arse into a scoring opportunity in the second phase. Both he and Wyness were backs to goal, often only 10 yards from each other, it was just too easy for the Celtic defence. Full marks to both but they cannot play together like they did today. There's really nobody to criticise from today's performance. 5-0 flattered an excellent Celtic side. Naelifts is right...keep playing like we did v Hibs and today and all will be well. I thought Brew could've had a look at the subs earlier (once the match was well and truly out of reach) - Deano came on at 85 and didn't touch the ball!
  2. ...and then there's the apostrophe...must've been the Greeks what invented that little bugger!
  3. ...yet another foot in mouth outbreak. Will they never learn? :029:
  4. :024: hmmm, perhaps, but better still I will point the finger and say "CaleyD, you are fairly intelligent"... that should do it!
  5. CaleyD, as the Lynne Truss of our forum I need some guidance. The following is from a contributor who is a serial offender of the erroneous their/there, please help me correct it: "Seems like someone somewhere has really screwed up on this and instead of repeating names on the back the whole top portion could have been left clear and names printed on the lower portion so as everyone was just on their once and not obscured by names and numbers." It's a big glass house we inhabit, chuck a stone at your peril... :023:
  6. Apologies if this has been covered previously. Since getting re-access to the website I've been posting a wee bit. But I've noticed when I make a post it is 'registered' on the site at a time quite different to my computer (UK time or China time). Anyway, you get the drift. Any ideas about this?
  7. Reminds me off the time I 'replied all' to my assistant requesting they do something to 'get this monkey off my back'...I broke the land speed record getting to IT to see if they could retrieve it! :029:
  8. Something we agree on finally JB :003: I remember watching that scene as a kid in the company of my parents. Frantically trying to suppress laughter I noticed my father was in a similar state. Outstanding mammaries memories!
  9. Blimey, don't get me started. Deep fried scorpions: wonderful; fried larvae; locusts; you'll need to ask Naelifts about the silkworm on a stick, it was just a tad overdone looking for my taste; horse was ok; sea slugs were gag inducing (have a large glass of beer very close by) but actually I quite like them now; fish head for the VIP (dammit!); braised turtle of course (couldn't help thinking of the Blue Peter tortoise as I ripped the shell off!). Bugs, slugs, beetles, dogs, cats...you name it, they'll cook it. I sometimes wonder if the Chinese serve up some of this stuff just as a joke for the foreigner. The only thing I still cannot touch is a conch-like shell creature. You dig around with your chopsticks to get a purchase on the poor tennis ball sized beast and then it squelches out trailing various green muccus. Apparently it tastes of chicken but I never got that far! Pig's ear; spicy chickens' feet; both good...the 1000 year old eggs are outstanding! Freaky colour but taste great! Now, if you think the above is bad, how many of you have had a sausage in UK recently? I think the assorted anus, nostril and toe clippings that constitute the content of your average sausage is infinitely less edible than anything you'll find in China. (FAO British Sausage Federation: For legal purposes we should make it clear that this website does not endorse the above malicious slur on the great british sausage. We understand they are nutritious, non-fattening and contain only the most prime of meat ingredients. If you would like to send us any samples please contact admin@caleythistleonline.com)
  10. A medical professor was lecturing his 1st year students about involuntary muscle contractions . To liven up the lesson he asked one of the female students: "As an example do you know what your ******** does while you are having an orgasm ?" She replies: "He's probably at Ibrox watching Rangers" Beat that Gringo! :016:
  11. Yep, fair 'nuff! Good post. [modbreak=Admin Comment]removed portion of previous post that had been quoted.[/modbreak]
  12. Excellent game! Many positives and well worth travelling around the world for :011: Outstanding work rate from the whole team (nae worry IHE, I'm getting help with my Marius Complex) and it's hard to imagine that Brew will improve these fitness levels. If anything it was the gaffer himself who looked the first to tire. Defensive line looked as dependable as at any time I've seen them. Roscoe clunky as ever but rarely fails to position himself in the right place. Munro looked comfortable as captain and even though he bawled out Caff on at least one occasion the pair seemed to have a good understanding. In a crowded midfield (Collins was constantly trying to get his wide players out to the touchline) I thought Black was the class act. Made himself available and I only remember one howler in a difficult area of the park. Just shows you really need to get to the games and make your own mind up about the team. There was one good passing side on view yesterday and one counter-attacking team. We just didn't allow Hibs to play for long periods. If ICT can maintain this standard then we'll climb the league table. Well done to the team!
  13. Cue Mantis with his "3 UK clubs with sweary words in their names" joke. ...actually it was probably the funniest of the 4 jokes he recycled every week. :rolleyes02:
  14. Ouch Don, that hurt! :004: Not to self - make sure site ends up blocked by the Great Firewall of China OK OK...I'll buy you a pie at Easter Rd. :rolleyes02: Don't deprive me of this entertainment please...Chinese TV ain't that good!
  15. Ouch Don, that hurt! :004:
  16. Denial - Anger - Bargaining - Depression - Acceptance Just tick off the boxes as you go along folks... I'm loving it! :023:
  17. Glad that's sorted then.
  18. So you admit there has been 'disgusting personal abuse'? A simple 'yes' or 'no' will suffice.
  19. So 'Johnboy' is on your birth certificate?
  20. CaleyD, like most of the nay-sayers on the topic of Brew's return you are positioning yourself so you can say "I told you so" if/when he doesn't give us the return we want come the turn of the year. One or two of you have said, "I'll delightedly eat humble pie if we are mid-table by the time Santa visits", no you won't, you'll be quietly moderating on the topics (Cup, Transfers, League etc)...with no mention of this disgusting personal abuse of Craig Brewster. This is a pathetic episode for Caley Thistle Fans.
  21. Well said Yngwie. I join you as one of the few who don't think the Board has done a bad job. Even though Brew was not my own choice, I don't think they had a lot of choice. Warnock (as I've said on other threads) was never a realistic possibility (and certainly not my choice ) leaving Owen Coyle (largely untried and surely a bigger risk than Brew). So Brew virtually picked himself in my view, unless the board were prepared to take longer over the appointment and widen the shortlist Yep! But not 'the few'... :025:
  22. Mr Bannerman, not that you were ever 'down' in my estimation...but you are definitely 'up' after that post. Well done sir :022:
  23. As the Lord Kitchener of the Boycott Brew movement you're going to have to get your disciples in a line behind you on this one. Good luck, but take a moment and look back through your posts in the last few days...quite a collection!
  24. plus ?a change, plus c'est la m?me chose :029:
  25. Robbo must be on somebody's short list? :023: Interesting one Scotty. Results, yes of course, but how to perform the contrition? On bended knees before the main stand? It all seems a bit 'holier than thou'.
