  10. Well said DC. We had a number of complaints regarding this issue. Good of you to publicly rescind the comments. Not for this thread and slightly off topic, but the original remarks are exactly the sort of issues that have driven Scotty/Don to the brink. Lets keep the forum ticking over nicely.
  11. it's a reference to this further down the report "John Robertson led ICT to Challenge Cup victory against Airdrie United in Perth in 2003 before going on to lift the First Division title and that's the goal for Butcher's side this term" ie, our goal will be to emulate Robbo and win both events.

  14. Crusher coming over from the capital and I am on the HMS Sneck mode of transport.
  15. The last final in 2003/2004 season only attracted a crowd of 5428. On the day I thought the crowd was roughly 50/50. Going by previous posts we have sold over 2000 as of yesterdayish. Maybe there will be a rush at the end to buy tickets. Too many people see this as a waste of time this competition. So what, it's a day out and a chance for a trophy against the leagues big boys and the victors will gain the respect of the runners up. All to play for, so get yer tickets bought. Not sure if any tickets are available on the day at the ground, I seem to remember the supporters club/officials selling tickets outside some ground as no official vending was allowed/available.
  16. mmmnnnn...........Ice cream yummy. Grantown used to have two cafe's. One at the top of the high street and one at the bottom of the high street. Strangely enough, we referred to them as the top cafe and the bottom cafe. Both were Italians and boith made stunning ice cream and both had completely different taste. The bottom cafe was more creamy than the top cafe, but this was my favourite, yummy yummy. Going further afield, the cafe in Lossiemouth sells delicious home made ice cream, nowadays of course multi flavoured ices, with the honey/toffee ones being scrumptious. Mint choc as well mmmnnn. Then there is Portsoy and Cullen another two beauties. Sadly, the ice cream dominance appears to have been won by the eastern side of the country as there are few west of Elgin making their own delicacies. From the supermarket, try Mackies ice cream probably as near to home made as you will get.
  17. Nothing wrong with section G, just the people who sit in it....................only joking. It's where it's at to be honest. G or the the ones either side when the ripple spreads, bit like an aftershock. Noise and football games go hand in hand. If people want to be noisy great, if they want to sit quietly great, we are all different. Sometimes the choice of words used could be less crude, (the 'c' word is particularly cringeworthy and should be binned), however it is usually all bantery stuff. Helen the Sweety Steward is great with the guys now, there seems to be a mutual understanding. If they are good they get sweeties, if they are bad they get an icy stare. The one thing everybody in the ground, wherever they are sat should be behind the players on the park.......within reason. That includes the subs warming up as well. Nothing wrong with being an olde git, but being a whinging olde git is out of order. Last week echoing from the rear of H/G close to the border there was a rant of "Butcher feckk off to Plymouth", only for his sub Eric to score the second about two minutes later which brought out my response of "Butcher come back from Plymouth". Fans can be so fickle can't they. Noyze on section G
  18. See where you are coming from DC. He was not the most flambouyant of characters and we played some pretty negative stuff. But, he got the team playing to our strengths and made us difficult to beat on occasions which meant we could grind out the odd result.
  19. I believe there are some grains of reality in there gordy. It would still be disappointing to see the club disappear in the form that we all know it.
  20. They have plenty of tickets.
  21. Good morning everyone Do have a nice day.
  22. GB - Terry, they hiv just sacked me. TB - Well, Renegade, what did you expect, your team selections were just rubbish.
  23. I suppose that when Butcher now does his stand up spot for the Champions league on STV that the caption will now read manager of Inverness Caledonian Thistle. Should please more people now.
  24. I doubt many thought the first was going to be easy Kyle. We clawed our way out of it before, but it took time, and we came through it after coming from lower divisions. The SPl years have gone for now, and we will, like others before us find it difficuklt to climb back upwards. Pecking order, in the middle, but capable of better.
  25. OK lady, you have got me there, what are you trying to say?
