  7. I can shot stop like Zibi, pass like Russell Dincan, score like Marius and have the ability of Dargo to get injured.........................any offers. :003:
  8. Pretty good shout Sir C, playing on the deck is what we want to see, Bayne has his uses, but Denzil and or Brew is surely the ones to get the best out of Marius and vice versa. I don't care what he gets paid either, thats what contract are for, to sort out the finer details, he has a contract, we pay up, it's up to the rest of the team to up the stakes and look for the same wages, not for Marius to lower his standards. Yes he is not scoring at the moment, but he is part of the team that can score. I think he will become a good scorer for ICT given the right service and less sniping.
  9. None more so than the title crunch game at Clyde when he had to fill in for the suspended Tokely, he played brilliantly that day as Clyde tried to exploit the 'weak' link, but he was up to the task, despite the penalty decision which he could do nothing about. Happy days ahead for Dave.
  10. He has stated elsewhere that he was not 100% with his shoulder and not quite ready to play, not totally confident that his shoulder would stand up to a bit of punishment. Seems fair enough to me Ron. Can't say fairer than that.
  11. Thats not for me to decide. I would like to see him score some goals, but if he helps others score the goals then thats ok by me. I am not fussy who scores them, someones got to do it, it's a dirty job. Is he worth his wages, what do you think? Would you buy someone with a CV that states X amount of International goals and pay him good money to do a midfielders job? Why not just buy a decent midfielder? He has a role to play for ICT, maker or taker, that is the enigma. He needs some goals to get him off and running, hopefully next week, well thats what we always say.
  12. It's probably just you Richard :015: Roy was also playing but didn't offer much as an attacking threat. The whole team were poor the first half hour, starting from the keeper right up to the strikers, ten headless chickens and a butterfingered keeper, and them on the telly too, what a poor advert for anyones CV. Denzil raised our hopes with a typical curling drifter from the edge of the box, trademark Denzil, unfortunately curling round the defender, rooting the keeper to the spot but just over the junction of the framework. Russeldinho hit a tremendous volley on the run but it was close enough to Langfield for him to make a great reaction save. Rossco scored with a powerful downward header, he must be getting close to Wyness now, again unfortunately across Zibi for the OG, how much more benevolence can this defence show the SPL teams. Mike Fraser must be chortling smuggly after witnessing Zibi start badly then get worse. He was not called The Clown at Easter Rd for nothing, some of his tricks are astounding, only a top clown could perform these. However he should probably keep his place as it's not good to keep changing the keeper every week, that will just erode any confidence they have. Give him until his next blunder, then that should see Mike return. Aberdeen were dire after Seve limped off. Marius produced another technically gifted display, unselfishly setting up others around him, but the mystery still goes on, where is this prolific Romanian striker that we are offering a decent wage to. There is more to footie than just scoring goals, but if it says striker on the tin, then that is what you expect to find inside it. Brewster injured or just sitting back? Only he will know, but maybe next week he should consider getting stripped. Proctor starting? another possibility. What has happened to Rankin and Morgan? However it's the defence that need their erse felt, they are the real culprits. We need a leader, a leader of men, someone who says my ball and never fails, at this moment, we seem to be lacking in that department. None of the players we have on the books are leaders in that role, Dods has never been replaced and therein lies the root of all our problems. We would have been sitting in the top six had Dods still been with us. Get your cash out in January, or maybe even save some cash by offloading those that are underachieving or not fulfilling their potential. It's a cut throat business we are in, sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind, maybe we should be more ruthless and ditch the driftwood now. We are throwing games away, games mean points, points mean survival. The longer this goes on the closer we get to the nightmare, despite all our good neat tidy play, if we bleed goals at the back it makes it more difficult to stay afloat. Sort it now.
  13. Ah, but, the reason we scored was that he was not greedy enough to batter the ball against the defender when cutting across the box, which displayed his technical awareness instead preferring the option to play in the left sided players. He also set up Cowie/Wyness for the chance in the first half which curled just over. He obviously showed unselfishness in not stealing Denzils thunder and allowing him to get on the end of the cross and make the ton. A strike partners dream, skillful unselfish good in the air. There is more to this game than scoring goals.
  14. Proc looked good when he came on. Useful squad player and seems to be filling out nicely. Has a bit of acceleration as well, useful to break up the counter attacks and handy for the occasional sprint up the right wing. He is right sided Scarlet, used mainly as right wing back.
  15. FOR SALE, NON SCORING STRIKER Might not be many buyers in the market for one of these sp.
  16. Innefectual He was the one who spread the ball wide using strength in the air, technique and vision, firstly heading it wide for Cowie, then when the ball landed back with him he cut across the edge of the box and and laid it off for McBain to feed Hastings to cross for Denzils ton, excellent goal. Now then, if he can add goals to his own tidy play then we will have some player.
  17. Zibi should probably keep goal next week again, but any more of that nonsense and he should be sent back to Poland. If we change keepers everytime a mistake is made then we will just undermine both of them. Zibi Rossco Caff Grantie Hastings Cowie Duncan Black Wilson Brewster Wyness
  18. Well, you were right about Zibi, terrible blunder for the first goal. His kicking at the start as well was funny at first, but then the joke wore thin, it was beyond funny, it was pitiful. Rossco won't need anyone to tell him that the first forty five minutes were probably the worst of his career, well since he started shaving anyway. Different player after the break but unfortunately scoring the winner for Dons. Everything he touched in the first half turned to rust. Mistimed tackles, out of position, struggling to keep up with the pace of the game, in other word, a fekkin nightmare. Whats up big boy, talk to me, were you on the bevvy last night?? Russeldinho was unfortunate with a sweetly struck volley late on after a quick break down the right and good cross. Looked like a tremendous save from Langfield. We did deserve something from this game, but unless we can unlock defences we will end up struggling to pick up points. Another frustrating day at the office and another blank for Marius, who's overall play was good but it looks like he is destined to be the enigma man, Four grand a week for someone to kick the ball anywhere but into a net is a decent wage if thats what the job entails, unfortunately there is more to his job than that. Good player, but needs goals to spark him into life.
