Didn't realise Murphy was looking to get into management

Id rather the club folded than the majority of the names here getting the job.

Whilst I agree that there is probably plenty of talented young players locally and Stuart Kettlewell is clearly doing a good job at County. The bulk of their development squad is made up of guys from the central belt and a couple of English guys. Within their ranks they have 2 ex Rangers youths, 2 ex Dundee United youths, and one each from Watford, Chesterfield, Partick Thistle and St Mirren.

Can't say I remember anyone specifically asking to do a deal with JD. Yes, people wanted an outlet in town where they could buy the shirt, and maybe people questioned why they couldn't buy it in there, but I don't think anybody specifically called for it to be manufactured by JD/Carbrini. A quick Google shows them to be the terrible supplier they are, and that's without mentioning how ugly the training/leisurewear is with the massive Carbrini across the back of every item. We are never going to be any manufacturer's main priority and that's why we should be looking to working with one of the smaller, more accountable companies I listed above.

FAO anyone at the club. Please do a deal with one of these, they can't possibly be any worse than the charlatans doing it at the moment. http://www.justsport-group.com/ (Supply Nike kits to Dundee United, Hibs and Kilmarnock) http://www.pslteamsports.com/ (Supply Puma kit to Dundee, Macron to Motherwell and various brands to a whole load more, I would imagine this is where County's Macron stuff is coming from) http://www.teamwearscotland.com/ (Supply Joma kits to Partick Thistle, St Johnstone, Dunfermline and Dumbarton) As the self appointed club kit director I've decided we're going to go with Teamwear Scotland because the Joma stuff just now is absolutely class and if those teams can afford it surely we can too.

JD own the Carbrini brand. Its the same company.

He moved to a Fulham side in the midst of a relegation dogfight in January 2014 where he made one appearance against Man Utd, then in February went on loan to MK Dons in League One til the end of the season but picked up an injury in April that put him out for more than a year. He spent last season on loan at Shrewsbury where he played around 30 times in League One. Considering many of the better players from the Scottish Premiership (Marley Watkins, Billy Mckay, Kane Hemmings, Marvin Johnson etc etc) are making moves to League One these days I think this is about as good as we could hope for.

Its worth remembering that first time round at United Gunning was good, good enough to make the team of the year in his first season and then secure a contract with Birmingham at the end of his United deal. People are questioning his attitude, but to my knowledge this has only been an issue during his second period at United where he was playing under a manager who's idea of man management is bullying into submission. I do, however, have big worries about his knee(s). Don't think hes been fully fit since leaving United first time round.

Been doing a bit of sleuthing on this and I've decided it was a guy called Jamar Loza. Lewis Horner and Loza have recently started following each other on Twitter. Loza was released by Norwich this Summer after various short term loans. He's 22, described as a pacy winger/striker, been linked to a number of clubs in England's lower leagues and has even been capped by Jamaica. He is certainly the sort of player we would sign. One of those stupid career best bits in 3 minutes agent videos below.

They had their pitch relaid over Summer and is now the same as Falkirk have.. Still not grass but apparently much better than before. I know we won't because nobody does anymore but I'd really like us to play two up front on Tuesday. Boden was completely exposed whenever the ball came into him on Saturday and when Fisher came on he had a few decent flick ons. Buy a smartphone lads. No need to even attempt to hear the announcer.

Can we change the typeface in this one please?

Jordan Roberts has just confirmed via twitter that he is away

That article is pretty uninformed. Comparing a team that finished 4th, 2nd and 4th in its three previous seasons to Leicester is stretching it but aye. On the topic of Astra, their star man, Budescu, who scored the freekick against us, was bought by a Chinese SECOND tier club in January.

Seems a massive gamble to me. We need to build a team so we will need an experienced director of football and/or assistant alongside IMO.

4-4-2 is dead. The only team that I can think of regularly playing a 4-4-2 towards the top of a 'top league' in the world is Leicester City, and they are a bit of an anomaly . Look at every big team in the world they all play a variation of 4-5-1/4-3-3. I don't necessarily like it but its the way it is, teams are looking to have an extra player in midfield because they are scared of being overrun. As for the suggestion that local players being more likely to stick around just because they are from the area is a load of twaddle. I present Nick Ross and Ryan Christie as two recent examples, football is a short career and players are going to try and earn as much as they can during their 10-15 years in the game. It doesn't matter what team you have affinity for if a club is going to give you a tenfold increase on your salary (Ryan Christie), or guarantee you first team football on a longer term contract (Nick Ross) you're going to take it. Also while I'm sure there are gems to be found in any league using Andy Robertson as an example of whats available in the lower leagues of Scotland is like using Jamie Vardy for whats available in the lower leagues in England. For every Jamie Vardy or Andy Robertson theres about 45647656875343245376453 Dean McDonalds or Andrew Barrowmans.

Do you go to games? Do you? There is a player of the year poll on this site for folk who do go to matches, so let's have a look at what they think. We have had 3 home league games this season and there have been a total of 101 votes for MOTM. Christie has received just 5 votes for MOTM and 9 votes as runner up. This compares with Williams with 39 votes for MOTM and 16 as runner up. Interestingly, one of our much maligned new signings, Mutombo, has12 votes for MOTM and 22 for runner up. I think this evidence supports that Ten4 has it just about spot on. Christie is good, but he has only just "emerged" and has only rarely had a game where he has been very good. Some of the hype about him really is very OTT. As many as I can yes and living in the central belt thats very rarely a home game but I get to a lot of the away games and Ryan is always quite clearly a class above. He didn't win two of nine Young Player of the Months and the Football Writer's Young Player of the Year last season by 'only rarely' putting in a very good performance. I also didn't see Celtic putting in any bids for Danny Williams despite CTO posters voting him MOTM 34 more times in our three home games. Suggesting Ryan wasn't/isn't our most talented player is just absurd.

FFS. Why do I come on here? Ryan, unfortunately, based on seeing old tweets that were resurfaced by childish Celtic fans, obviously does have some form of allegiance towards Celtic but to suggest him saying all the 'dream come true' type stuff at the press conference is disrespectful is an absolute joke. I hate the Old Firm more than most but if either side gave me a 4 year contract and £7000 a week that for me would still be a dream come true. Getting very well paid to play football for one of the biggest clubs and at one of the biggest stadiums in the UK would be a dream come true for pretty much any young boy. And don't get me started on the 'he shouldn't have worn the shirt' stuff. As if he had a choice? I hope this Celtic move turns out to be another stepping stone in Ryan's career and I can one day cheer him on in a Scotland shirt and I will wish him all the best when he eventually goes but until then I know he will continue to give 100% for us and continue to be the best player in an ICT shirt. After that he'll become just another wee Celtic mink and we'll develop more talented youngsters (which Celtic seem unable to do despite their budget, scouting network and facilities but thats another argument)

On the topic of the development squad. I spotted this on the SFA's list of deadline day transfers: 'Kane John Stuart Hull | Inverness Caledonian Thistle to Strathspey Thistle | Development Loan'
