brother in laws for me. stays across the road. drink his booze and wander over at 14:50 to be seated for kick off. used the stadium bar after the game last time. crap pool players stayed on table all night before finding our way home

heading down tomorrow but got a bad feeling about this one. havent beaten them this year over 90 mins. the 2 cup games we were let off the hook by 2 goalie errors. dunfermline havent won at home so far this season, that fills me with dread. it has got to come sometime.!! the boy graham on the wing looked hot last week against rangers.!! squeeky bum time for me.

dont get too excited. watched him in the cup against sunderland. scored a goal but he looked slow, bit of a carthorse compared to the others on the pitch.looked well past his sell by date. dont think he started in the replay, but may be wrong.

what happens if you have two players with the same name !!!! announcer jooohny fans haaayes announcer nooooo tuuuffey -
You seem to have forgotten to include along with your suggestion advice for the people who have to try to balance the club books as to how they could make good the resulting loss of revenue - probably amounting, even with a full house, to tens of thousands of pounds. Or would you simply for instance be happy enough perhaps not to have signed one or two of the players who came in during the window? are you speaking as someone who buys a season ticket, pays every week at the gate or as a journalist who walks in for free ??
-
bought my 4 season tickets again this year. once they are paid for you feel as if you are getting in for free at games. didnt go to cellic game, OF are not the draw they once were. a few years ago i would have been first in q for tickets but we see them so often now cost comes into it for me. would pass out if i had to hand over 2x20 and 2x15 if that is the cost for adults and concessions. £70 to watch a game of football. used to pay that a few seasons ago to watch guys larson, sutton etc. would not pay it to watch the worst scottish football ever. we need a reality check. drop the price down to £10 for adults £5 for under 18 and kids under 12 free. let scottish football play young scottish boys if these admission prices dont allow OF to buy top rate johnny foreigners. dundee united tried to buy imrie last month for £25 grand but had to pull out of deal. ten years ago ross county paid £50 grand for derek holmes. even highland league clubs were buying players for more than £25 grand. ps mentioning dundee united --- watched them today. ohhhhhh terry butcher you missed a gem not giving mackay- steven a chance at inverness. a johnny hayes with more ability

proctor getting flack for 2nd goal, he was only trying to do what all defenders do and usher ball out of play.unluck for him on a sticky pitch the ball would not do what he thought it would do. full marks to hooper for chasing his own pass, keeping it in play and being "clever" for penalty. wish we were as clever at times. back to my point for 2nd goal gillet had ball at left back, why does he always wait too long to clear.( i think it is a lack of ball control as he seems to need 2-3 touches sometimes to get the ball where he wants it) if you watch him he regularly has a clearance charged down due to his dithering on the ball. yesterday he tried to clear, hit the celtic player ( not charged down) and the ball fell to hooper and as they say-- what happened next is history pat nevin said on sportscne we had a 30 second spell and the rest was all cellic. dont agree with that but we were poor yesterday. i was shocked by tel's team choice. you dont get relagated if you lose in the cup so should have had a go and played a more attacking team. big roscoe is taking some stick on here but we need to realise that he is behind hogg, golafart, williams for the centre back slot

bored to tears first half. gillet must have got mom for second half only. his touch and distributionfirst half was shocking.decent defender but hopeless going forward. was put through on goal first half due to good play and from in line with left hand post nearly put ball out for a throw in with his right foot shot every time tade got the ball his lack of control allowed it to spin 10 feet in the air. time to give the new lads a run. sutherland not an spl player even at our low level. always seem to have the ball behind himself when running with it before tripping over it. rightly hooked missed the composure of williams at back. all very dissapointing after last weeks tremendous display against hearts. second half much better, could have been a couple down at half time but should have been a couple up at full time. tried to watch lowlights on bbc online but not working. probably nick ross has cut the line not wanting any more people than yesterday to see his "van bossan" should change his name to DICK DROSS after that miss
-
one of our better displays. thought willaims looked composed, tansey played his best game for club so far. foran was imense and hayes was unplayable. who picks the mom at the stadium. shane sutherland tripped over the ball, overran it most of the day. even his headed goal trickled over the line. with the goal gaping he headed straight at kello. every time he looses ball he jumps into the air. whats that all about. frustration he has messed up again ?? big surprise he started, but then we were missing several players. mom - could not choose between hayes or foran

take out "a candidate for " and replace with WAS and i totally agree

cant really understand tel wanting to keep chippendale. i have only seen him for about 15 mins so far. with hayes fit and doran back on the bench yesterday i would let chippendale go and try and get in a centre half. we have hardly been able to play concectutive games this season so far with the same 2 centre backs. yesterday a left back playing central defender only rangers, celtic and dundee utd( 1 goal) have scored more goals than us and only dunfermline have conceded more. stats dont lie, another centre half for me please. starting to warm a bit to golafart now. he seems to have cut out the " fancy dan stuff" from earlier in the season. still the funniest thing i have seen this season when we went 2-3 down to united and golafart came over to tel to tell him he would go up front for the remainder of the game. he got the hairdrier treatment along with tel throwing his notebook at his head. he still dosent attack the ball enough as a centre half for me. rather than putting his head or foot through the ball sometimes he is trying to chest it down or trying to control head height balls with his feet. got caught out a few times yesterday ( eg his booking in 1st minute) but second half was better but then maybe tel needs cover on the wings. if we were to get an offer for a player in the window hayes is probably our only player that other teams may fancy
-
sorry but we have no goal difference to ruin..we are on -12...i for one could respect the team alot more if they went out there and grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck and actually had a go...none of this sitting back rubbish. go out there and get at them. thats how you ake points of rangers anyway.. go at them and dont let them build.......oh yeah and NOBODY even think about looking at a rangers player in the box because sure as eggs is eggs they will fall over and we will concede the penalty

i have always said on this forum that we are the worst " footballing " side in the spl. that includes all seaons we have been in it. we cannot keep the ball for more that 3-4 passes before loosing possesion. even when munro was playing we would pass about our back line going nowhere only for him to play a howitser pass over everyones head into touch. yesterday we could hardly string a pass together. if we did manage it our forwards cannot/ struggle to hold the ball up. we were conceding possesion to du just about every time we tried to pass united on the other hand were a joy to watch.. crisp passing, movement off the ball. oh how i wish after yesterday mackay-steven played for us. wont even mention russel's contribution when he came on. how often this season have we lost the ball around the half way line or further forward that resulted in a goal for the opposition, when we should have been "seeing" the game out. eg dunfrmline away 3rd goal 3-3 last few seconds, hibs at home 0-1 last few seconds, dunfermline penalty at home 1-1 last couple of minutes etc,etc we are at our most effective when he hit on the counter with speed. that usually means only 3-4 players are involved. even dunfermline at our place stroked the ball about better than us. we need at this time to be more solid in middle of park. united 5 yesterday overran us. would have thought after going 2 up tel would have taken on morrison for shinnie and tade for mackay (to give us an out ball/ run the united defence) instead of wave after wave on united attacks. watched the game on alba last week against st mirren. if i was not an inverness supporter would have switched to strictly come dancing after 10 mins, thats how bad a spectacle the game was. could not imagine many nuetrals watching on a saturday night from this site last week used the link to the players after match comments. could not believe the top 6 comments. until yesterday....stats dont lie, no team has let in more goals than us. yet only celtic, rangers and kilmarnock have scored more bit of a clue there to our problem we need to be realistic, survival is our aim every year.
-
have to say united today were imense. pace, power, running, crisp passing. after our first goal it was united attack after attack, although i must say with all their possesion the did not really threaten our goal. best away team i have seen since kilmarnock totally outplayed us a couple of seasons ago on a wednesday night to win 3-1 (the one was a consolation at the end) 2nd half we score with first opportunity and i am sitting there wondering " how are we 2-0 up", anyway who cares thats football some times then step forward johnny russell. we could not handle their pace and when we had the ball we always seemed to be trying to play the killer pass and were just conceding again and again to united. today was like watching us when we were a 3rd division team playing the old firm. concede, defend, concede, defend etc, etc. it was only a matter of time before they scored why cant we play passes like all the other teams in the league, holding on to the ball making the other team chase. i thought the man of the match was their left winger. PLEASE DONT TELL ME HE IS THE SAME MACKAY-STEVEN WE HAD ON TRIAL AND DID'NT OFFER A CONTRACT TO. i thought when were 2-0 tel may have settled for this and loaded the midfield. i did not expect him to introduce nick ross who added zero instead of a more robust player.
-
thought he was still in the gorse bushes looking for his golfball after yet another wild slice at alness golf course about 20 years ago. we waited on the green for him but he never appeared back out. we finished the round and saw his "double" propping up the bar in the clubhouse when we finshed the round. he had lost so many balls that day i think he was maybe embarrased to ask for a loan of any more golfballs

best display this season, well for 80 mins. esson had very little to do humprey hooked so gillet cant have had a bad game although his distribution of the ball is pretty woefull. plus he takes longer than pierymar to take a throwin. we must be worst in league at throwins. wasnt sure about davis this season but thought he was mom today disappointed with sutherland, cost us 2 goals today. first goal he lost possesion, albeit from a crap tade pass, he had 3 chances to get ball away but kept turning back into trouble. well get corner from possesion and score 2nd goal same part of pitch looses possesion again trying to get ball under control, breaks to lasley rest is history. 2nd goal really deflated him, his head went down and for rest of game was not showing for a pass, should have been hooked. with players now returning from injury it is now time to "rest" haddy, sorry tade. he runs about but very little end product. cant hold the ball up front, poor touch, looses it far too easily. went for a **** so missed him hitting bar, listening to tel's comments on radio it was easier to score than hit the bar. we need a striker in january, some one to hold up ball waiting for support, and to finish. apart from these 2 very good performance. had to laugh after well 3rd goal. golafart ran to butcher pointing to well goals. think he was wanting to play up front. tel lost the plot, gave him the hairdryer treatment before throwing his notebook at him. priceless

OH DEAR OH DEAR OH DEAR. WHAT A DISPLAY. dunfermline should have been 4-0 up before we scored with our first real attack. missed a sitter, hit post and ball runs along goal line, shot from 10 yards straight at esson to tip over when either side of him would have been a cert goal against a team we hope will be below us at end of season we were p1sh. they seemed to have the ball a lot more than us. our inability to hold it for more than a couple of passes wont have helped tade runs about all day, wins balls off defenders but there is no end product. he gets played in by shinnie in first half. instead of heading for goal a pathetic first touch takes him towards touchline instead. the guy is a donkey. late on we are under the cosh in our box, ball falls to foran and two players make the break to his right. all it needs is a pass to one of them about 10 yards away and we are away. he hit one the players in the back and dunfermline get possesion in a dangerous position. ross and shinnie are too similar and when ross is then played wide he is totally ineffective. we do not have players who can even do the basics properly. we cannot retain ball for more than a couple of passes before conceding possesion. the front 2 are hopeless at holding the ball up waiting for support. winning 1-0 tel takes on a right back, a holding midfielder and another donkey striker. but then that is the only players we have what else can he do. dont pretend i know much about tactics. but we are missing doran and hayes. two players you can give the ball to and they will run at defenders turning defence to attack. even if they trip over the ball in the opponents half at least they have taken pressure off back 4. i thought he might have taken off the ineffective ross and replaced him with chippendale, someone in the hayes, doran mould to give us an " out ball". watching the players shootin before the game it was the same old rubbish, hitting carpark, back row of north stand or corner flag. except for mackay, he had 4 shots scored with 3 and one saved by tuffey. the boy can hit the target. come on tel he cant be any worse than the 2 donkeys we play up front. can he ?? only positive for me today was meekings. he looked decent at right back and the big plus is that he can take a throw in without waiting 10 minutes to throw the ball. he also can throw a fair distance wich will be an asset when in our own half as we always loose possesion to other teams from our throwins we all talk about our injuries this season and that we will be a better team when all are fully fit. have we a 20 goal a season striker injured at moment that i dont know about or are we still going to struggle to score even when all players are back. last point, when i saw it was proctor chasing the dunferline player on a break ==== after we cheaply conceded decent possion in their box ==== i said penalty coming. boy i wish i had got that one wrong thought next season we were going to get the highland derby back. the way we and county are playing we will be passing each other, county on way up and us on way down to 1st division

saturdays at this time of year golf in morning footie in afternoon. playing yesterday at inverness gc placed my ball on 16th tee when there was a comotion behind me. turned round to see the dips in the wall separating course from culcabock road had a face in each. about 15 or so who turned out to be st mirren players out for a track suited walk as there were staying in kingmills hotel. wouldnt know any of there players apart from hasslebank, but he is'nt tall enough to see over wall. 2-3 of the players, scottish, very excitible, loud, must be pre match pressure, one says " no presure then mate". drove off to the loudest " youre the man " from the same guy. he was getting louder as my playing partners played also. under pressure hit the usual down the middle. they noisely went up the road towards the hospital, drawing attention to themselves as they went. once teed off walked the 10 yards to get golf trolley where one of the players was waiting. soft southern irish accent asked how i was getting on, was i playing in medal, about weather, remarked how good condition the course looked. thought he was maybe embarrased by the action of the others. the chap was a true gent, couldnt have met a nicer person. wished me the best of luck for the remainder of round. said i couldnt do same for him this afternoon. tried to spot him during game, may be wrong but looked like he was their no. 6 and captain. thats was probably why he waited to chat after the loutish behaviour of a couple of their players. nice of him to chat. see lots of players when golfing on a saturday when on 10th green as it is across the burn from kingsmills hotel. none of them take you on. last year hearts jefferies and brown watching, trying to engage them re game in afternoon they either just stare at you or turn round and walk away.

Errr...they already have four between them, so I think it's a pretty good bet they will get at least that half dozen. on todays showing i dont think so. dont even think tade will be claiming his "goal" today
-
started well and took the game to them until they scored with their first real chance. foran miss was pathetic have said on here before i dont think tade and foran will score a 1/2 doz goals between them in spl this season. shinnie equaliser was from a superb knock down from foran though. tade runs himself ragged , chases down players but his first touch is woeful. his first 1-1 with keeper he did well to get past the very slow lee mair. any striker with even a small football brain would have shot across keeper. if he beats the keeper he scores if keeper saves, ball may come back for onrushing others. tades passes ball into side netting at near post. 2nd 1-1 he takes a terrible first touch when through which takes him to left and the same scenario as 1st 1-1. his angle on goal is greatly reduced. goes in on keeper when a shot across again is required. shut down by keeper too easily 3rd 1-1 it looked easier to score just curl it in to net. may have hit it out for throw in. didnt celebrate his goal very much, think he was totally embarrased ball back of post hit him, he did not hit ball. enough chances to win this game comfortably. as agaainst hearts but if you cant takes your chances it can come to a last minute equaliser, got lucky today that their second was flagged for offside. 1 point from game would have been a travesty. one more gripe, why cant we shut down a game when winning with a couple of mins to go. g shinnie had ball near half way line, just pass ball towards corner flag and chase. tries a killer pass which was straight to their player, they go on the attack. also esson on 2 occassions with seconds to go kicks ball from goal down middle of park, goes straight to their keeper who punts up field and we are under pressure again. kick to corners, run down clock, simples thought a shinnie was very good today, the boy is a footballer. super finish for goal, hate to think what tade or foran would have done with it. probably smashed someones windscreen in carpark
