  2. Sad news, brilliant boxer and a real Gentleman.I had the privilege of meeting him at a charity golf day in Nairn,he was old school and what you saw was what you got.I remember as a teenager heading out to a disco taking his advice to "splash it all over" literally! a lesson in life of where not to splash aftershave!!
  3. Unbelievable! once again, the worlds gone mad, but we ah knew that anyway COURIER As for the comments of a "rovers fan"........ Rovers fan: THIS WAS A MALICIOUS ATTEMPT TO INCITE HATRED AND IT SHOWED ALL THE DARK AND UGLY SIDE OF FOOTBALL,,IMMATERIAL IF IT WAS JUST A CARDBOARD TANK ,,THE IMAGE WAS THERE,THE SOUND OF BULLETS AND BOMBS WAS THERE,,VERY LUCKY NOT TO HAVE HAD A FULL SCALE RIOT AND CASUALTYS TODAY BECAUSE OF THIS GUYS ACTION

Rory just dropped a shot and pack are snapping at his heels now, see if he can take the heat, would love to see him win but if no would be great to see Lee Westwood pick up a major
  7. I normally read your views with interest and enjoy your enthusiasm and support for highland sides, but this weeks editorial comments on Dundee maintaining progress though "loopholes" and "free scoring trialists" is journalistic spin from the deepest depths of the west coast press. A striker who was released from the giants that are Hayes and Yeading,an ex ICT player recovering from injury that no other side would touch, a retired TV presenter and and a life long supporter playing week in week out for local juniors Lochee United given the chance to play for his boyhood team can hardly be classed as high profile expensive mercenaries the article suggests, indeed, initial announcements were met with howls of derision from supporters of most clubs and indignation only set in when this mixed bag had the temerity to actually perform well and score goals! 2 have now secured contracts at Dunfermline as a direct result of being given the opportunity to showcase skills as trialists. From my understanding and beliefs no payments are allowed for trialists and while some may give "aye, rights" to this, the fact is each and every club can do exactly the same thing if they wish and desperation forced Dundee's hand, fortunately Barry Smith seems to have the managerial nouse to get the best out of players. Dundee are still not out of the play off woods by a long way but the legitimate introduction of trialists has given us a fighting chance few thought possible a few months back.
  8. Would have to agree with this point, usually about 3 am Seriously though, ,yer quite right Scotty, sure i mind Tommy ranting about the damage and predicting USH would cause more call offs than it would prevent
  9. Ach Mannie, dear mannie,eh sure feel yer pain, another gemme cancelled because of the rain, the Bhoy's ,they were coming from near and from Farr, arriving in trains, and buses and cars Now Tommy said "naw" the pitch is to wet, yer no playing here, well at least no yet, gies and hour to get ready, see what i can dae, The Telly said wait? are ya daft, get away! a decision was made to abandon all hope, so the Bhoys that were left sang their songs oh the Pope, in pubs near and Farr, they bemoaned the wee Caley, and went to watch Rangers and go an the swalley. Their day ended well when results filtered through, Yenited had beaten their rivals in Blue, Conspiracy theories were put to one side Ya just cannae beat nature, the rain and the tide.
  10. Amazed this is off, when i saw the thread i thought someone had taken the April fool joke from yesterday too far,Still, I,m sure their was nothing that could be done or Tommy would have done it
  11. Worth getting in bather for :love03: :punch:
  12. I'm under no deelusions, had the whole financial debacle not occurred and the penalties imposed, no way would we have just celebrated a new club record 20 league match unbeaten run under the previous management team.I will be more than happy with mid table at the seasons end and having a team in the first division next season to build on.
  13. Agreed Proctor, but it's OUR GAME they have raped and pillaged for a few dollars more! supporters count for SFA,in fact the SFA count for SFA, makes me sick :irritated:
  14. Get in the real world Proctor, SKY,SPL,SFA,BBC,Uncle Tom cobbly and all don't give a flying about what supporters want,They will sell their soul and KO times for a fistful of anybody's dollars
  15. Wouldn't be surprised if Barry Smith makes him an offer once we are in a position to sign players
  16. Same old, same old, been going on since i started going to football, will still be going on when i stop going. Polis, politicians, football reps all meet, talk pish, agree how terrible it is,tell us all how bad behaviour will not be tolerated, so all diddy clubs will get policed even more strictly, the actual culprits will continue to sing what they want, pish where they want, stand where they want and not a jot will be done to change things, except average Joe in small groups will be targeted with football bannings to "make examples" and show how this behaviour will not be tolerated.
  17. . You mean you are actually assuming Dundee will survive as a bona fide football club for at least 3 more years? Is that a yes or a no to the bet??
  18. Don't you worry JB, plenty chances for bottles of malt to come in the not too distant i'm sure :drinking04: edited to add....in fact i'll go as far as bet a bottle of Balvennie double wood we play league games in the next 3 seasons (not including this one) bets void if ya pass us on the way doon.
  19. trilaists dinnae get paid daftie,we're no allowed to sign or pay any new players the noo, guid result for ICT the day tho eh?
  20. yer no wrang Yngwie
  21. Turning out as a trialist for Dundee today V Partick, hopefully fully recovered from injury
  22. Cue moaning about pitch conditions
  23. Stick with yer principles JB,any one getting it up either OF is alright by me
