They are top of the League below.
I'd tend to agree Charles,it's still very much County's league to throw away,I think Falkirk will be their main challenger, losing Gavin Rae was a massive blow to our challenge. That said we have Falkirk Tuesday then County at Dens on Saturday and whilst undoubtedly a huge ask, a win in both would change the look of the whole league, all things considered,i'm pleasently surprised to be involved in a discussion that allows for the possibility of us winning it!

Improving the matchday experience at TCS
This sounds about right, charging under 12's is a nonsense and puts the price of a "family " day out out of the question straight away, better to get the full price of dad (and poss mum) than skin the family once and put them off forever,Neibours a Jambo with 2 youngsters and visited TCS a couple of weeks back, was dismayed to be charged over £50 for the game, he won't be back any time soon

Poor poor Celtic fans!
CaleyD, I think we generally agree on the wider issue and the attitude thing , but surely in a scenario as described above, little bhoy bloggs should just be turned away and refused admission,no?

Poor poor Celtic fans!
I appreciate it's a fine line D ,but too often these days stewards in particular and polis to a lesser extent revel in the "i can do and say what i want" attitude, and if you get wound up (even justifiably and put your point politely but forcefully) you are getting huckled. I,m sure with intelligence on serious issues they have a fair handle on where they are looking for offenders, as always seems a big hammer for a small nut.

Poor poor Celtic fans!
Scotty, as you know, i have kept an interest and fond eye on ICT over the years having watched both Caley and Thistle in the HL then ICT's climb through the divisions going to many games as a biased "neutral" even sitting in the ICT end (with Dee top on) at Hampden for the Dundee semi,I also went along to the Dunfermline semi etc. However, the continual degrading of the match day experience, hassle, herding, being treated as criminals, came to a head several seasons ago at TCS when i got myself involved in an altercation with the polis for defending a youth they dragged out with his feet off the ground and charged for the "offence" of jumping over the wall to celebrate a goal means i no longer bother and can't think of the last time i went to a game outside the highland league as a neutral. It just aint worth the hassle.

Poor poor Celtic fans!
"I want to stop being searched by the cops when going to a football game" .... "you want to stop being searched ... then stop doing (or condoning) illegal or dangerous things that gives them a reason to search you" ..... unfortunately, i reckon many (more) will take the other option...."I want to stop being searched by the cops when going to a football game" .... "you want to stop being searched ...stop going to the football. Just another nail in the "is it really worth it"? coffin i feel

Poor poor Celtic fans!
I agree with Sorted, this smacks somewhat of St Mirren doing it just "because we can",but Cellic ar'nae the only supporters being frisked and searched,I notice their semi isn't getting used for practice on the Sunday...... Important message from SFL to Ayr and Killie fans From the SFL official site The Scottish Communities League Cup Semi-Final 2012 Ayr United v Kilmarnock The National Stadium, Hampden Park, Glasgow Saturday 28th January, 2012 Kick-off 1.00 p.m. MESSAGE TO BOTH SETS OF SUPPORTERS re- SEARCH OPERATION “Supporters travelling to Hampden Park on Saturday, 28th January, 2012 are advised to attend earlier than usual due to searching procedures which will be undertaken on entry to the stadium. Hampden Park is a venue for this Summer’s Olympics and there is a requirement from LOCOG (London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games) to carry out a number of test events to trial their search capability prior to the start of the Games. It means that all supporters entering the North Stand of the stadium will be searched at each of the 20 turnstiles there (numbers 30 - 49), to the standard required for the Olympic football events at Hampden Park in July and August, 2012. This will include a ‘meet and greet’ away from the turnstiles where supporters will be required to empty their possessions into an A4 sized plastic bag prior to a full search at the turnstiles. Bag searches will be ushered to one side to prevent any backlog. These search procedures will be carried out in respect of both sets of fans and suitable arrangements are in place for male and female supporters. The co-operation of all supporters will ensure that a smooth, safe passage into the stadium will take place, with no undue delay.”

Standing
A "source" from the SPL advised,"Supporters wishing to use the safe standing areas will be required to participate in a 2 day safe standing course which clubs will run on a monthly basis supervised by representatives from the health and safety executive. Supporters will learn safe jumping heights currently set by European advisers at 10 cm except in certain circumstances where 15 cm is permissible if a harness is attached to a fixed point,Advanced standing courses will be available for supporters wishing to stand and wave scarves simultaneously, but it is expected to take several seasons before these are available at all grounds" Don't think there will be any danger to spectators standing as they will be well protected by the amount of red tape surrounding the implementation of any "safe standing" area, the problem with the whole thing is ,by the time it becomes a reality , I will be so old i'll want a seat by then :irritated:

Anti bigotry bill
Therein lies the problem, one mans banter is another mans offended to the core. Therefore, sit down shut up,all interaction between opposing fans is forbidden, nae *teuchters, sheep, gypsy, tinks, gadgies, farmers, arabs, huns, tattiemunchers, bnb's or anyother referance can be used as someone WILL be offended, The whole think is unenforceable and it,s the supporters of "diddly" teams that will be pulled up and used as scapegoats to highlight the "zero tolerance " I guess i must be pretty thick skinned and i can't think that I've ever been offended by supporters at football singing anything but don't dare let me hear anyone refer to Scumdee again or yer getting reported! *The above terms as used purely for the purpose of debate and in no way represent the views of the author

Castle Stuart
I hadn't heard that one Alex, but interesting to read Dundonald is owned by the Loch Lomond Golf Club, so obviously had a vested interest in keeping the Open to raise the profile ( and green fee's) of their course. As a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to golf ,i find it a wee bit sad and a tad galling the many superb and varied courses we are blessed with in Scotland are overlooked in favour of the latest "championship" development from some business consortium or other with a financial gain to be made (i include CS in this) when we have courses of the standards of Dornoch, Brora and Nairn. What price Balmeddie being awared the Ryder cup 2022 with Trumps financial muscle, following Celtic Manor as the latest new "must play" (at a cost) whilst Royal Aberdeen and Murcar sit adjacent with all the same attributes plus history and tradition on their side, The Rennaisance , where i believe the Scottish will end up in 2014 has several neighbouring courses at Gullane and North Berwick that would blow it out of the water in a golfing context but i'm resigned that the marketing men will have their way.
-
Castle Stuart
Where did ya hear that Alex? Never heard of Dundonald links being linked (sorry) with the open. As far as i am aware the Renaissance in East Lothian next to Muirfield was the other contender beside Castle Stuart. It was ruled out due to not having a clubhouse and 3 holes were deemed unsuitable. Castle Stuart was awarded the Open till 2014 as the (British) Open is at Muirfield in 2013 and authorities didnae want the two back to back over the wall fae each other.

Erm, I'm not!! ,however, Doofers dads right, don't take offence and carry on posting yer thoughts and opinions,it's what makes message boards interesting. When you are the original poster of a topic it can feel like all and sundry are taking a pop but usually they are just throwing their own opinion into the thread,at least the topic is interesting enough to stimulate discussion and input.
