  1. Having fitted quite a few of their dishes over the years, does that make me a "Sky insider"? Anybody fancy an exclusive??
  2. Do we know how Rangers voted back in 2004? We "won" the original vote 7-5 but needed 8 votes, then won the subsequent vote 10-2. Maybe not quite clear with my original statement, when i say "cross club backing" i meant from the supporters of clubs. The original vote was clouded by self interest including from our own Chairman at Dens, but the message got through to most that supporters wanted justice and teams in on merit not financial clout or geographical location.
  3. I think the last time i saw such cross club backing for any football related controversy in the past, was when ICT looked liked being vetoed from joining the league due to not meeting SPL ground regulations. The will of supporters was strong to see a travesty overturned despite the loss of revenue for some and longer journey times etc. Supporters want to see healthy competition, and all are fed up with the stagnation of the game since the 90's. The time has arrived for real change and if the opperchancity is not grasped the battle really is over. As Kingsmills alluded to, the highland league grounds will probably also see more of me as well if a capitulation takes place.
  4. Think the crucial word in all that is "might". The OF biased media will be peddling hard and spinning every story furiously to get the result they want to see so badly.
  5. Eh'll see yer El'D and raise you a Bucky....
  6. Correct D, at the time of application i felt it was a very speculative but is now looking quite prudent. That said, it gives no time to build a remotely competitive squad but would give a season of welcome extra income and may to some small degree pay back some of the dues from the Zurab Khisanisvilla episode! (Bitter? no me!)
  7. Yenited have not emphatically said no, Thompson said they would need a lot of convincing, blah blah,as he was twitching about season ticket sales but left it open to u turn.Time will tell after several seasons listening to moralising from all and sundry as to where their own morality lies when situations affect their clubs financially.
  8. From the same era.....
  9. Too much Pomagne Johndo, ya counted 1 goal too many! The old fella who owned the Bon Accord company lived in Sneck, just along fae the Jaggy park. Not a lot of people know that

  12. ....and folks wonder why grass roots football is dieing on it's arse and kids find other things to do in Scotland.Still, as long as we can know what the Northern Meeting Park is called in Gaelic, all will be fine
  13. Inverness City are doing a great job promoting the city name in the junior leagues, also coaching and encouraging youths. IMO they should be helped and encouraged way ahead of the the many and varied "good causes" seen appropriate to receive buckets of public funding.
  14. The whole affair is disgraceful,it must be soooo demoralising for the guy's putting in a ton of work at this level to get kicked in the nads due to bureaucracy, meanwhile several levels up the powers that be can't bend over far enough to accomadate serious wrongdoing and rule breaking.

  18. As long as Scottish football has decision makers of the calibre of Jim Ballantyne, who not so long ago, vented his spleen to show how robust the authorities would be when financial shenanigans were afoot and i quote... "We are of the opinion that lessons are not being learned. For example, clubs have to realise that, going forward, they cannot treat their HMRC obligations as something akin to a credit card. "In the face of current challenges, our ultimate aim is to ensure that clubs survive with integrity. Professional and robust financial management procedures are key to the future security of all clubs."..... Fast forward 18 months and he is sitting in the Directors box in Belfast at a Rangers friendly with a Rangers Fighting Fund badge on,what hope for anyone?
