  1. That's the way I seen it but it didn't happen. We can bounce back and as Robert said above "we can reassert our place in second if we beat Alloa next week before we have a couple of weekends on cup duty".
  2. They must have been short of the red ones that was the days of the Scottish Bus Group. The van is an Austin or Morris J4 (the badge is missing) at the junction of Mackay Road and Evan Barron Road in the early 70's.
  3. There is still a Wimpy in Dingwall is that the only one left?

    Ferries

Looks a bit calmer than the Minch! Here is the Isle of Mull that Mantis sailed on before he posts his holiday photos The only time I sailed on this ferry was from Ullapool to Stornoway on a wild evening while the Isle of Lewis was away for refit. The skipper announced that there was a strong south west wind so there will be a bit of motion How right he was! On the bright side I met my fathers cousin who was a crew member that I had not seen for 35 years.

I think it is just you and me that take photos of ferries I hope you have a good time i was working so did not get to Iona. if you are going via the Corran Ferry with the drive down through the "Monster Midge" country you will be getting the Loch Linnie.
  6. This is what happens if you go down to fast and let go of the rope, check the pants
  7. Abseiling on the north side of Loch Morie.
  8. I have it now Boath in Ross-shire with the help from Mantis It's many years since I was up there, the last time went in by Ardross heading west to Kildermorie Lodge and and back on the south side of Loch Morie a beautiful part of the country within easy reach of Inverness. Kildermorie Estate was then owned by a Captain Paul Hignett and the head keeper was an older gent Mr Cameron and his wife made lovely scones!

  12. Yes indeed it is lets hope things continue to improve both on and off the field.
  13. Never had butter on wheatabix ? We got milk delivered to our house!
  14. I would want another winnable tie at home and save the big pay day for later
  15. Don Mackenzie was still the manager until the early 80's and the Marlettes were still doing the Scottish Showtime at that time as well!

    Ferries

Here is an old one from the early 60's.
  17. I have been on the island found no treasure though! Here is another photo of the sunken boat. It was just a wreck and was patched up to be towed through the canal to the Diving School at Fort William where it was to be sunk and used for diving training. The British Waterways would not allow it to go through the canal as it might sink and block the canal. It was towed into the side and scuttled!
  18. It is the ruin of St Drostans Chapel which is on the Old A9 1 mile south of Kincraig.
  19. Good photo and good timing IHE. That would be the early fifties some older than me might remember the parts & accessories building. The car emerging from School Lane is a 1952 registered Vauxhall Wyvren and the new building that is being built on that site just now is going to be called "Wyvren House" which will be retail units and flats. The flatbed lorry is a Bedford RL and the tanker is a Bedford O series.
  20. They must have been heading for the town that is Lower Kessock Street and junction of Grant Street & Lochalsh Road.
