  1. Calders cream is pretty near the top for me, John Smiths is good too but i'm not into the real ale stuff, gives me the s***s. Worst has to be Tesco value lager, not that i've bought it... i was given a wee glass at an O.A.P.s House which was at room temp yechhhh.
  2. It was mentioned on the matchday thread that Duff that he was at fault for the first goal, and indeed was out jumped by the big lunk Wilkie, both of these situations were probably down to inexperience, but whether Mcguire would have done better is anybodys guess. Duff seems to have at least one mistake a game, which has cost us the points in all three of them and at this level and situation for ICT, is unacceptable. The guy is a good footballer and will have a future but he is on a steep learing curve, i hope Brew gets experienced defender in january and puts Duff on loan to sharpen up with first team football as it seems that Mcguire and Granty are the first choices.
  3. Here we are Tannadice st, 2.48 pm, from the left , Yngwie, the venerable Mantis and Caleystan. Captions please....
  4. REDNECK PUP Ah now i've sussed it out..
  5. We will no doubt hear something today, when he went down after Dods tackle ( he should have been booked) i thought he had dislocated his shoulder - very worried as we were doing pretty well, pity Duff lost his man for that header. Those two incidents had a big bearing on the game unfortuately, we never recovered from Blacks withdrawl as ICT only started putting pressure on them after we went 2 down, Cowie for me is a mystery.
  6. Yeah, nice one Didnt recognise Rob in those clothes though, he's normally in something ' flouncy '
  7. Well going back a wee bit, the Caley ballroom and the bands that played there, the sticky carpets and plastic tumblers, trying to pick up a girl that stayed in your general direction. Oh almost forgot... up stairs in the Hayloft, some really brill nights, got involved with a nurses outing one night... thought i'd died and gone to heaven
  8. Aye, thirty years passes quick eh?
  9. Jeez thats a tough one... seen a few good films over the years.. Not really in order, but One flew over the cukoos nest Shawshank redemption Great Expectations ( john mills) The Matrix Lock stock and two.... lots more.
  10. ' 17 pound for kids and 18 pound for adults ' How much for for ghosties?
  11. I thInk with Rory its down an overall ability problem, he has some skills, that is not in doubt, but whether they are good enough to let him make it at SPL level is the question. We have all seen him score at reserve level but he lets himself down considerably when he gets his chance during his games in the first team. The trouble with Rory is that his plus points are much fewer than his negatives, other players have weak areas, IE Roy Mcbains right foot, Russells passes, however both these players have greater plus points, Look at the brill goal Roy got in Aberdeen, and the work Russell does off the ball. Rory in my mind has not got what it takes.
  12. Agree... How does the motorpoint thing work then?
  13. :thumb04: Thought you would know better being a nairnuc, ya canna fish at the beach, the tackle box gets full of sand - very uncomfortable.
  14. Downside is that you smell of chipshops wherever you go..
  15. I agree with Esson coming in, not with Duff though, need the experienced team out tomorrow for sure, i have reservations about Cowie too, he may benefit from a wee spell on the bench, start with Barry on the right, imrie left and Mcbain/Black in the middle, Rossco does a lot better when Barry plays, whether we go 2 up front or put A N Other in the middle is going to be anybodys guess at the moment.
  16. ;) Far too much :018: :thumb04: under the bridge for that to happen.
  17. Talking about scores... the highlights of the tues cup games are on the BBC website, Their goal looked a bit a defensive f**kup again, looks like Hastings got beat to the long throw and our defenders just watched as the guy poked it home, Anyway Dickie boy made up for it by nodding home the equaliser at the far post. I mrie also took his goal very well from Rooneys knock down.
  18. I think you also may be referring to Mr Bailey, the one eyed scourge of PE classes at Millburn Academy. who was rumoured to be involved in black arts such as Rugby sadism training at a big field in town. His favorite form of punisment was shouting ' pundy pundy feel the pain ' in your face, which was made worse by the little bits of froth flying out of his gob at the speed of sound.
  19. Don Cowie's 'slow' start has been dragging on a bit now, should he be given an automatic start? i would start Barry on saturday in right midfield.
  20. It was really only to correct you, i'll try again, the car park is in Ross-Shire, as far as i'm led to believe Nairn attracts dog walkers from all over the north... whether the dogs are an excuse i dont know.
  21. He had his chance at Peterhead, dont think they would have him back.
  22. Does it normally take this long for newsagents in Nairn to supply newspapers? thats old news.. Anyway you are quite right, they were obviously really hard up for a story that week when that drivel appeared, that area has always had a seedy reputation but i dont remember the HN giving it much space when the travelling people took it over causing ?25k of damage to it. It is of course in Ross-Shire.
  23. FT ya beauty!!!
  24. I was thinking the same mesel I was thinking the same mesel
