Trouble is that like his red wines there some players he favours and some he's loathe to pull the cork with, IE Russell who most fans will say deserves a game, gets dropped like a corked bottle of Rioja. Playing 4 lumbering centre backs the other night was a worry, because we had (IMO) our best two centre defenders playing full backs and a right footed donkey beside a right footed Hogg in the middle. - strange. Russell should have been on to sort out the midfield, not a wee boy who has not got the strenght to mix it in a midfield battle, and thats what we needed.

Where about is carless? near Ardross? there could be a bus about 5 pm right enough.

Very much doubt if Doran will be fit so soon, I agree that Grant should be back in centre defence, Golly - dodgy - i'd put Duff to left back, Ross will probably get a start and Russell will be on the bench unless there are no possible alternatives ( butchers choice)

Why did Butcher start with 3 centre backs and a donkey across the back? Why was Russell dropped? I can see Butch giving Shane the nod before Hayes/Doran, dont think he would start an away game with two wee wingers, maybe later on in the game if we are chasing a goal. Back five - fine, up front fine, just the midfield to sort and to hope they have given Nick some raw meat to fill him out a tad.

I wonder if away fans to TCS get treated in the same way as us in other stadiums? have to say our visit to Fir park last month brought no hassle from stewards whatsoever, the noisyboys stood the whole match and enjoyed therselves, only Dewsbury was winding them up - by trying to take there pics. Sure looks like different rules to suit what the (bar)stewards can get away with.
