MERGED: Rooney Transfer ???
Butch says they want to double the ?50k they spent on Adam, which is fair enough as he's now seen as an SPL goalscorer which is a big improvement from when he arrived here. So looks like ?150-160k to get his autograph.

MERGED: Rooney Transfer ???
Aye, some good points TBB, I'd agree that we really need some more experience in that team, not clever to put too much pressure on youngsters coming through. Cant see Rooney going abroad, championship more likely.

MERGED: Rooney Transfer ???
Just wish he could hit the back of the net now and then.... Hope somebody passes on Wanderers post to Rooney.. that scares me.

Highland Derby
Bit like the way your business works! I wish... lot more cash involved in your business than mine.

Highland Derby
Revenue for Cup fixtures is shared is not? Aye, but a tenner each from 1200 Elgin fans is a lot better than if we had Hamilton or Alloa at home, plus whats declared is always underestimated.

lack of home atmosphere
Section G only sing when IHE is there....

Highland Derby
Its proves that we were way more important to Elgin than they were to us, end of. Their money was welcome though. The Elgin support was not bigger than home support.

We were on telly then
Jeez, short memories on show here, we once (maybe still are) were a wee team and when we went away in the cup we took thousands away and made more noise than the home many a time!! Its what happens! even away league games away our support is usually more animated and noisy. As for Elgin deserving a replay what B0llocks, they had two shots on target and defended for 90% of the game, only our poor fininshing prevented a big score, Hellgin were a wee team having a big day out at their big SPL neighbours, our small turnout was A. because of the weather and B. because of lack of interest for us playing a wee team where we expected to progress, also just look at some of the other crwods as shown above. We are through to the next round, Sandshoes showed how good he can be and deserves to start a game now.

New faces in January...
Well it kind of puts a new perspective on things.... what with the money we've saved from not paying Marius (aye) new players could be like hens teeth. What worries me is that we could lose wee spud johnny if the club are needing money that bad, what with DS offering to give away his shares for investment its not all that clever the noo. But.... a good cup run starting with a good turn out tomorrow AND performance will see us ok.

Ideas For Niall Doncaster:
I beg to differ. Apart from the fact that i have my kids most weekends ICT are at home, even when they arent staying with me....due to my low income, I find it difficult to find the money to get in to the games (beggars cant be choosers, so this would have to be the cheapest part of the ground) Then....on top of that, there is the costs of getting into town and back, then the costs of getting to the ground and back. all things considered...its very rare that i can actually finacially justify going to games. I often wonder how many others are in the same situation as me Fair enough mate, i see what you are saying but overall dropping the price will not be cost effective. Oh aye, meant to mention the Largs mafia, this is indeed a fair point, coaching certificates are earned by managers at the same place - SFA largs, i presume they are all coached by the same people/methods so we will still have managers(mostly) setting up the teams to play the same way, which as we can see when our 'ordinary' teams play in Europe is not very clever. Nice to see Mixu setting up Killie to play footie and now getting results - fair enough, but will they be able to keep him long term?

Ideas For Niall Doncaster:
and get a proper haircut!! I think if they had said ir more advance than a few days that they would be doing cheap tix for a few of the diddy teams like hamilton & st johnstone we might get a better turnout. should be a good crowd for the elgin game but it's about creating awareness aswell as just the gesture. The Elgin game will be below 3,000 comfortably. Will that be an 'official' 3000? dont forget there will be cash gates. Anyway.. wage caps.. forget it, the old firm have more financial clout than all the other teams put together. Midweek games will cost clubs too much money. Dropping ticket prices will not bring in more fans, i've offered free tickets to people over the years to get them interested and its met with indifference, you are either a footie fan or you are not.

Social Club to close
The bus to the stadium from the Caley club leaves too early on matchdays, its off at 2.15 -2.20 and for some reason arrives too late to get a beer at the stadium bar! i'll stick to the Innes (for now) and get to TCS for a healthy 2.55. The caley club has seen some great times after big games & results, most memorable for me was after we won the first div and Robbo came in with the team and trophy! what a great night!

Scottish Cup
Any idea how many massey fergusons and trailers will be heading through on saturday guys? heard from a polisman today they expect 1000 to make the 2 hour trip along the A96? Should make a good atmosphere.

ICT Away support more loyal than home
Either that or its collecting red dots, I envy a lot of fans who are able to go to away games all the time, they get to see ICT win games....

Social Club to close
Radio Scotland this morning claims its Vice chairman Graham Bennett that is attempting to buy the club and lease it back to ICT, price supposed to be in the region of ?250k, no comment from anyone at ICT at this time. Why? unless he keeps it open for a while then flatens it to make flats.

MERGED: Rooney Transfer ???
The Russian connection will just be to get the ball rolling and raise interest from other clubs down south, his agent probably organised it this way. Sorry to see Adam leave (if he goes) but we need the dosh, and as Terry says we need to free players before we see new ones.

DFS selling out?
Ahh Iain you must have the big biscuit tin ready!

ICT -V- Kilmarnock : Matchnight Thread
But will Collum say sorry?
-
things to work on
Been saying that for a while now.. Duff is doing ok at RB, but is being wasted, he could do so much more for us in the middle. Also need to tighten up LB too, Shinnie will one for the future, but we need Gillet back soon.
-
ICT -V- Kilmarnock : Matchnight Thread
Yeah, Foran looked off the pace, but then again so did Rooney who was more or less jogging about - his mind looked elswhere?! And another thing whats with Gillet, is he on a skive? heard he was fit and training well so hows he not playing, young Shinnie will be some player in the future, but at the moment he's getting caught out quite often possibly due to lack of size/weight/pace, Nick Ross weaves a pretty pattern with the ball but is as dangerous to the oppostion as a cute puppy. But as said above Killie very pretty good last night, better than us, but they will lose Eremenko in January and thats like us losing Hayes. I'm sure we can sort it out vs the Saints on sunday.....

Killie Preview & Report
Good write up Davie boy.. here's hoping yer prediction is right!!

Under Pressure ?
The mention of poor throws in's reminded me how bad we are at this, Jeez it getting to the stage that we are as well just giving the ball staight to the opposition because thats all that happens most of the time anyway. Other team seem to handle throw ins fairly well, surely it could be practised during training? i'm getting fed up with mannies moaning about it!

DFS selling out?
Heard news story this morning that David Sutherland is keen to sell his shares in ICT, Charlie Bannermans story also tells us that there is a third party very interested in taking the 25% shareholding that DFS owns. Sutherland says that any party that takes on the shares must put the football team first. Wonder who the third party is, A Savage? wonder why Sutherland is selling up - cash? Also coming into the frame is that Tulloch still own the two end stands do they not? would the buyer have to pay for them.

ICT -V- St Mirren : Matchday Thread
I'm not good enough to be a club manager, i can only commect on what i see as a fan/supporter. And what i saw on saturday was a team setup that was not working, we were kind of fortunate for our goal, then we had a breakdown of some kind, Butcher/Malpas must have seen that what was on the pitch was not going to do anything, so why leave it so long to alter our tactics/team?
