  1. Then we get some money to help keep our club afloat and to reinvest in our efforts to get back into the Premiership.
  2. If it wasn't for the Tulloch connection we might not have a club by now. We certainly wouldn't have a full time team who had spent the vast majority of the last decade and a half in the top tier and won the country's premier knock out tournament.
  3. Agreed. Always good to see a small liberal minded nation with an open and inclusive attitude prevail over their much larger and much less liberal and inclusive southern neighbours.
  4. That is very good news indeed. We are making progress towards the basis of a squad that can make a serious push for promotion next season. Just that elusive twenty goals a season forward to find or develop.
  5. To digress further, just how snobbish and superior is that.
  6. Makes you feel old looking at people you went to school with looking distinctly middle aged. Thank heavens that, by contrast, I have retained my youthful appearance.
  7. Nice idea and would be an excellent addition to the squad but almost certainly outwith our financial resources.
  8. They are pretty handy where they are right next to the stadium particularly for those with mobility issues.
  9. Absolutely this. Bill Shankley was entirely wrong.
  10. As long as the result is not the same when it is eventually played.Regretted bunking off school to go to that match well before half time. Suddenly, double physics with Fred seemed a more attractive option.
  11. Well said, pedantry of the highest order ?
  12. Glover's post; personal, divisive and confrontational. Scotty's post immediately after, measured, non confrontational and constructive. Only one of these approaches is likely to get us out of the difficult situation the supporters association finds itself in for whatever reason. Other than learning valuable lessons for the future, it's not important how we got here or who, if anyone may have been at fault. What is important is how and how quickly we move forward from where we are.

He would be a great loan signing but there are quite a few reasons why it's unlikely to happen.
  14. USH is good for frost but much less so for snow which is wet as well as cold.
  15. We can give the youngsters an early Christmas present and ourselves a pre Christmas treat by turning out for this one.

For what it's worth, I think Layne would be worth a punt at the right cost and offers the sort of striking option we don't have at the moment.
  17. If those currently on the committee, however well meaning or difficult their personal circumstances, have lost control of the situation or have got out of their depth then they need not be too proud to confess that that is the case and seek help from the many people with the best interests of the club and the supporters group at heart who are willing and able to help. Please do so now before it it too late and the situation becomes irretrevable. Equally, those who have been critical, sometimes highly vocally so, should resist recrimination and act in a constructive and helpful manner. Now is not the time for burying heads in the sand or for apportioning blame but for everybody to pull together to sort out this mess while we still can.
  18. I Imagine that Tommy is stomping about in his wellies cursing the USH.. Going to resist the 'allure' of the pre Christmas crowds and have an afternoon by the fire with a bottle of Merlot and a box of mincemeat pies.
  19. Well. At least we tried. Well done to the club for attempting to do all in their hands to minimise inconvenience for supporters of both clubs. As for the Scottish football authorities, their indifference to those who are the lifeblood of the game is appalling but sadly, no great surprise.
  20. Good appointment. Bound to be an improvement on the media and PR front compared to the well intentioned but ineffective and amateurish efforts of the self styled 'media team' over the past two or three seasons.
  21. As far as I'm aware footballers do not have to operate dangerous plant or machinery.
  22. No during my afternoon nap today I imagined us coming from 2-0 down to beat Celtic in this season's Scottish Cup final shortly after we had secured promotion on the last day of the league campaign ?
  23. I recall the Jags beating Wick Academy eleven nil in the North of Scotland Cup when the Caithness team were non league, probably sometime in the mid 70s. Even as a Thistle fan, I remember that being quite painful to watch.
  24. A welcome point in the circumstances butI still don't think the circumstances, unfortunate as they were justified either postponement or Robbo's very public whinge.
  25. Last time we were in this division we had the benefit of two home derbies and the likes of Adam Rooney and Jonny Hayes. This time there are no local rivals and, although it has improved in recent weeks, the football and the players delivering it are not nearly so skilful, positive and entertaining.
