I agree with IHE !
-
Ritchie Bryne
Having spoken to a couple of County fans I did wonder that at the time.

Why cant he do it in the first team?
and for longer during Brewster's first spell. I recall quite a few games when the starting combination was Brewster/ McAllister including one match at Pittodrie where the lad missed two absolute sitters.

Contracts (Merged)
It's pointless to speculate on what individual players are earning. Such matters are, quite properly, confidential between employer and employee.

Why cant he do it in the first team?
Rory has been given decent runs in the first team in the past. To my mind it boils down to confidence and I suspect given his relative maturity now, that if it hasn't happened by now it never will. That said, the boy has talent and I'm sure will be a fine player at Second or even First Division level.

Ritchie Bryne
Scoring in the Second Division against largely part time opposition is hardly the same as having a track record at SPL level. My understanding is that for the wage level Mr Barrowman receives, not to mention his signing on fee, we could have attracted an experienced forward with experience of playing in and scoring in the SPL.

Absolutely right.

Ritchie Bryne
I'd forgotten about that RIG but now that you remind me it rings a bell.
-
David Sutherland
That's a very sweeping statement. We live in difficult economic times, not least for the construction industry !

Brewster is the man for the job
Paying Brwester off will not break the bank as his contract is only until the end of the season. If necessary he could be placed on "gardening leave" until then.

ICT -V- Hearts : matchday thread
I agree.
-
Rooney
The boy has potential but is at least a season away from being a competent SPL striker. He would benifit from playing with a more experienced strikepartner but unfortunately, due to mismanagement, we don't have a single one on our books.

Contracts (Merged)
Not sure what the situation is with the others but, in fairness to the club, Cowie was made a concrete offer months ago and it's his decision to delay either accepting or rejecting.

Certainly sounds encouraging.

GOOD NEWS ALERT
Let's hope that he's not discarded from the set up on the basis of a poor 45 minutes. I wonder if the occasion got to him a bit. He's normally much more composed than that.

Brewster is the man for the job
You might well be right which would be unfortunate. I think that there may well be better candidates than Robbo but there are certainly worse. He's available, still has local connections and clearly would have an appetite for the job.
-
Alba Challenge Cup Final
I thouight that County were a bit unlucky. They were denied a clear penalty at the end of normal time.

Brewster is the man for the job
It is a great pity that Sutherland ans Savage, who both had positive qualities to offer the club, couldn't find a way of working together.
-
Talking tactics
To be fair, if there was no truth in the "blame the agent" line I would have thought that either Denzil or his agent would have come out and said so.
-
GOOD NEWS ALERT
Hopefully, the first of many.
-
Home Form
There is still a problem with the stewarding but the atmposphere, or lack of it, at the Stadium is largely down to the fare on the pitch.
-
Experienced forward required in January
I can recall numerous games turned in our favour by Hart coming off the bench.
-
Brewster is the man for the job
The word is that David Sutherland did not appreciate Robbo giving the club an ultimatum which may effectively have reduced the level of compensation paid when he moved to Hearts.
-
Brewster is the man for the job
The problem would definately not be Robbo's reluctance to work with Sutherland !
-
Experienced forward required in January
Barry starting up front with Rooney might be a reasonable stopgap.
