  1. Couldn't agree more Heilendee. By the way, didn't we have a little wager at the begining of the season ?
  2. At time of posting, it's updated to 19th April http://www.scotprem.com/content/default.asp?page=s60 Thank you very much.
  3. Thanks for the match report. Live too far away to ever watch the under 20s but always keen to learn how they are doing. Is the up to date league table available anywhere ?
  4. One of our better players. can't see him giving any less than 100% if selected. If it were not for the huge prize of a European place I might have been inclined to give Nick Ross a run in his place but, given what's at stake, I believe we should continue to play our strongest team with the best players.
  5. Not inclined to get into a debate or certainly repeat what Charles Green is on record about saying about his erstwhile fellow director nor the comments he made in the summer during a meeting of fans who had formerly supported Glasgow Rangers and who he was trying to persuade to pledge their loyalty (pun intended) to his new company to be called, after a change of name, The Rangers. I take it you have not yet gone for my suggested relaxation therapy. By the way, guess which 'big' team I supported as a child before I came to app reciate what they stood for ? A brand new sash and bowler hat for the correct answer although it may be a bit tricky to guess as that club no longer exists. However, just to give you a clue, they were replaced by a club with a very similar name.
  6. No longer a rumour so moved to the main forum.
  7. He is likely to earn more in those three years than if he spent the whole of the rest of his career at ICT and the standard of the English second tier is probably better than our top tier. The crowds, exposure and atmosphere are certainly better. In addition, it has also become apparent that Gordon Strachan favours English based players over domestic ones. It would have been good to see him in an ICT shirt for another season but I understand his motives and wish him well.
  8. For goodness sake Agent N chill out. Maybe a glass of wine and a nice gentle Indian head massage For what it's worth, I dislike the ugly sisters and what they stand for in equal measure. As a point of fact, they are no longer Rangers in the same way as Airdrie United are no longer Airdieoneans. They are The Rangers Football Club, formerly known as Sevco so you are quite right on that score. That said, I have no difficulty in those who hold the institution close to their hearts continuing to refer to them as Rangers but, with respect, the rest of us are not obliged to do so.

  10. Just because they wave union flags, does not make them bigots, if you don't like the flag of this country go and live somewhere else, I would suggest you are the bigot. Today at Parkhead we were entertained by a number of choruses of Paddy McCourt's Fenian army, because we live in a country where people fought and died, under the flag that you consider bigoted, they are entitled to do that. Did I miss your post condemning the waving of the Irish flag and starry plough after the last time Celtic visited Inverness?. ..... Guess you weren't too disappointed in todays result! The SPL hasn't been a breath of fresh air this season, ICT have had a magnificent season, but we all knew that Dundee were up against it and would get relegated and Celtic would win it. I would suggest the only fresh air is between your ears! Tetchy but never mind I am sure your big team will be back in the top flight within a few years.

  12. Went to see Clach playing away today against Steve Paterson's Formartine. Thumping 5-1 victory for the home side and Clach now well and truly out of the title race. Formartine struck me as a typical Pele side playing open, entertaining, attacking football. Good to see an true ICT legend coming to the fore again.
  13. Not a bad result for us I think. Motherwell were always likely to secure second spot and a drubbing keeps the potentially Dangerous Arabs well behind us in the race for third and the final European spot. Celtic still needing a result when they play us on Sunday could work either way. Could be that the tension will get to them and that may work in our favour.
  14. Thanks Heilandee. You beat me to it.
  15. With respect Laurence I did no say that the knuckle dragging brigade were bigots just because they sport union flags. While no unionist myself I respect the views of those who are. I have a great deal less respect for those who loudly proclaim the defence of the walls of a small city many miles from Govan.
  16. Seems that Charles Green is to stand down as chief executive of Sevco. The SPL has been a breath of fresh air this season without the union flag waving bigots. Scottish football as a whole will smell a lot sweeter once this buffoon who panders to racists and bigots departs the scene.
  17. Title sorted. Well deserved and plenty more to come from young Josh over the next two seasons I'm sure.
  18. With respect Laurence if we are fortunate enough to qualify for Europe it will be an event whoever we play. A bit disrespectful to the Irish teams you mention in my view.
  19. Mmm....scratching my head to think of an alternative name.
  20. In an industry no short in hypocrisy surely the erector of rather shabbily finished houses takes the biscuit. The man who formerly ranked second only to Terry Wogan as a sporter of dodgy hairpieces bleated long and loud on the steps of Hampden yesterday about how unfair and antidemocratic it was that two clubs were able to scupper the plans of the great majority. Surely that can't be the same man who is the last remaining original architect of the voting system that was originally designed to provide an effective veto for the ugly sisters and who was the only chairman who lined up with Celtic when the other clubs were of a mind to make the organisation more democratic earlier this season. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Scottish football's greatest hypocrite.
  21. We could always completely ditch the rich history of our game and have franchises. Team Glasgow, Team Edinburgh, Team South, Team Fife, Team Tayside, Team Grampian and Team Highlands and Islands. The franchises need not necessarily be based in the geographical locations associated with their names but wherever the wealthy owners choose to locate them. Beer, hotdogs and pretzels served to spectators at their seats and the future of soccer in Scatland is sorted.
  22. Would love to see Brittain sign for all sorts of reasons. Sadly, can't see it happening.
  23. With all due respect, both Stuart Gilmore and Roy MacGregor have both stated on several occasions that they do want a change from the status quo. If you can refer me to a single instance of either one of them saying or inferring that they want no change I will retract my statement that to say they have is a distortion of the facts.
  24. Agree with RIG. Both St Mirren and Ross County are advocates of change just not the ludicrous take it or leave it, all or nothing package that was on the table. Understand that Davie holds a different view from me but very disappointed that a spokesperson for our principal fans organisation should seek to distort the position on this forum.
