Good start to the season. Aberdeen huffed and puffed but thanks largely to the tireless work of all four midfielders, seldom threatened. On the few occasions when they did the defence and Fraser were up to the task although it has to be said that the Dons were fairly inept. I'm no great fan of Brewster but he has to get credit for his tactics on this occasion. If we can get another experienced forward and a central defender it might not be such a bad season after all. That said, there's no room for complacency next week against a Hamilto side who are likely to be miles ahead of Gretna.

The player seems keen to come but the move seems to have stalled for the time being at least due to lack of agreement between the clubs over the duration of the loan and the proportion of his wages ICT should pick up.

I guess he's their player if they want the option of racalling him in January that seems fair enough.

Absolutely dire ! Rangers got just what they deserved.

I don't think there's a better candidate in the current squad.

There may be merit in that suggestion but it would be difficult to implement.

In my opinion they are well enough paid for what's essentially a part time hobby.

Thanks Clasretfan, a goalscoring threat is going to be our real problem this season together with the absence of a commanding cental defender.

Poor show if Dundee United have broken ranks. Only complete unity of the other ten will stop the Old Firm in their tracks.

Hopefully by the time the season starts in earnest we will have an experienced central defender and an experienced forward to drop into the first choice eleven.

I'd give Esson at least a half.

Our midfield is no concern whatsoever but we need a reliable centre half and an experienced forward, of which we now have precisely none, as a matter of the utmost priority.
