  1. I agree with Gringo. I'd very much like Clach who are are last remaining direct link to the town's footballing heritage to survive but I can't see how such an arrangement would benifit ICT.
  2. The P & J carry the same story this morning. Sorry to see him go. I always thought, when on form, he added a little something to the midfield that none of the others had. I'm sure he'll do very well in the Second or First Division.
  3. Strikes me that Watt has being pretty consistant for the reserves since coming back from injury. We're still short of at least one defender. I'd like to see him feature in the first team squad to see whether he's woth trying to retain for next season. Personally, I've only seen him play once; in the CIS match against Arbroath and I thought he had a very decent game.
  4. Just a rehash of their story the wek before really.
  5. I too would like to see County challenging at the top of the First Division by then but as we know from our own experience, trying to sustain full time football outside the SPL is not easy and County's task is probaably not helped by the fact that ICT are now attracting the bulk of commercial backing in the inner Moray Firth area due to our semi established SPL status.
  6. Great result and, given that they've got Q.O.S. in the quarter finals, they must have a fair chance of progressing to the semis. Sounds like quite a second half !
  7. Grant Munro's historic goal on saturday wasn't the only "milestone" goal scored on saturday by a player with strong ICT connections. Stuart Golabek scored Ross County's 900th goal since entering the SFL. Maybe not quite as significant as scoring ICT's first ever goal in the SPL but one for his scap book nevertheless. Give them another two or three season's and County fans too will be celebrating their team's 1000th. I wonder which division they'll be in at the time ?
  8. Even at our level, our shirt sponsorship package pays the wages of two first team regulars on average wages. No club is going to give that up for the sake of a more aesthetically pleasing top.
  9. I think we'll need to somehow contrive 4 points from the away matches at Motherwell, Hibs and Celtic to remain in with a shout. Suddenly, Hearts are much more of a threat for a top six place than appeared to be the case a fw weeks ago.
  10. I agree entirely, sadly however, we're unlikely to see unadulterated strips in senior football ever again.
  11. Just out of interest, how many goals have we conceded since joining the SFL ?
  12. Very fitting indeed that the scorer of this historic goal should be Grant Munro. Invernessian, club captain and the first authentic product of the club's youth system
  13. A bit harsh on a lad who's a decent enough player but maybe always going to be just that little short of SPL standard.
  14. Especially as our next match after that historic fixture was St Mirren away.
  15. Showboating indeed, just how many consecutive passes did we string together during that passage of play ?
  16. None, what's proposed is an additional; 39th game.
  17. Would that make Ji Calder the oldest player to have turned out in the Highland League, or indeede any other Scottish senior league, in modern times ?
  18. Kingsmills replied to BigTFan's topic in Caley Thistle
    Very many congratulations.
  19. Good grief, was that great night really the best part of a decade a decade ago ! Wonderful memories, reading the press and watching the media coverage in the days that followed was almost as good as the match itself.
  20. Hear hear.
  21. I wonder whether that indicates that Brewster intends to involve him in the first team against St Mirren ?
  22. A bit of a non story really, simply repeating what we all know namely; all three are contiuing to negotiate with the club but that, so far, no agreement has been reached.
  23. I suspect you're right about that.
  24. Barry has been a great servant, his stint at Livingston notwithstanding but he's not featured much this season and it may indeed be that he's just about finished at this level. That said, I'm sure he would do a great job for County either in the Scond or First Division and that he could develop his coaching skills at the same time.
