  1. I'd be delighted with a point but I fear an even greater humiliation that the first half of the most recent match at Ibrox.
  2. Kingsmills

    Rooney

Teamed up with an experienced striker he has the potential to be very good indeed.
  3. Unless the board show some mettle tomorrow and take the obvious couse of action this game is likely to be as humiliating as the first half at Ibrox.
  4. A very public and effective protest would be a mass walk out of fans at 15 minutes into the match live on Setanta which would then be broadcast on national news. The problem is that despite the obvious depth of feeling on the issue, only a few dozen would probably take part making the whole thing look rather pathetic and bolstering the misguided view of some that it's only a vocal minority who are desparate to see Brewster go.
  5. very relieved
  6. I'm not sure Barrowman is SPL quality. He might well, however do a decent job for County in the first division. Could be a good move for all three parties conceerned.
  7. If we replace Brewster now with a competent manager then I believe the squad is strong enough to survive and even move up the table. If the board continue to dither then it will soon be too late no matter who's in charge.
  8. Typically inept attempt at PR spin.
  9. We have of necessity to be a selling club but we are incredibly naive in the way we go about it. Look at the millions that the likes of Hibs have made from selling on players on long contracts in recent years whereas our record tranfer is still barely into six figures. That said, Black had indicated a general willingness to stay and both he and his agent had stated that the offer from ICT was not too far short of what he was looking for. The club needs to review the way contract negotiations are are dealt with.
  10. Calderwood purports to be an admirer of Brewster's coaching skills. In that case I expect to see him on the coaching staff at Pittodrie after rewster gets the sack tomorrow night. On the other hand......
  11. I suspect that Reading see him as one for the future and would like to retain him on their books.
  12. or alternatively
  13. I would. I'm sure he'll be as committed as ever. First Rankin and now black. I suspect that we would still have both under a different manager.
  14. Cowie may be a bit off the boil just now but he's still the best player we have at the club.
  15. I agree with Miss ICT. I know that football matches are traditionally a "robust" envioronment but we are trying to encouraging families now. That said, my own attitude is very much coloured by the fact that I tend to take my own children to matches there days and I don't relish the sort of language they're exposed to.
  16. I suspect that you will still be waiting come tomorrow.
  17. Trying to find a way out of the club by the looks of it.. Maybe he's after Brewster's job.. You steal our players so why not our manager too ! Hearing tonight that Bullock has walked out of the club too.. Not confirmed anywhere yet though.. Just rumoured. Would you be interested in him too !! Ross County gossip may be all very interesting but please keep this thread on topic ! By the way Jailender you will see that I've edited your previous post. Anymore such innuendo and you will be banned from the topic.
  18. Pity, if we have some money to invest that we are apparently entrusting that investment to a manager who has clearly run out of ideas and the ability to motivate the players. If the club are going to stick with Craig Brewster as manager they would be better off keeping any funds available for next season's promotion battle.
  19. While our league position is a concern I don't think that it's that alone that's turned the vast majority of fans against Brewster. The fact is that he's increasingly inept from a tactical point of view and appears to have completely lost the ability to motivate the players. The same can not be said of Mark McGhee, Gus McPherson, John Hughes or Billy Reid. I can well understand why fans of the other four teams in the same position as ourselves want to stand by their respective managers.
  20. As far as Paul Lambert is concerned, while he might be a good choice, I doubt if we could afford the compensation to prise him away from Colchester even if he wanted our job.
  21. and look at the resourses he had at Tannadice yet he was still dragging Dundee United towards the First Division.
  22. Might manage a point if we scored first !
  23. We don't have any hope of beating anyone as things stand at present.
  24. As long as he has a means of keeping in contact, which he must in this day and age, I don't see that the Chairman enjoying a festive break is an issue although I am surprised and disappointed that no decision was taken today.
  25. May be an element of stating the obvious but well said nevertheless.
