  1. Yay!! A 'home' game for me to kick off this season :021: I've been getting the usual "easy 3 points" today at my work :rolleyes02:
  2. Ahh... i'm in the right room now :015: Just cleaned myself after nearly defacating my boxers during the Croatia game :022: Won just over ?100 yesterday on betting the Czech v. Swiss game would be low scoring, with a draw half time Czech win full time. Followed by a flutter on Portugal to win, after seeing how strong they were in the first 5mins of the game. So in a half cut state I threw it all on Croatia to win at evens :021: Austria deserved something from that game, despite Boularouz (sp?) being lucky to stay on the pitch. Banking almost all of the money, and putting a wee ?20 flutter on Germany v. Poland being low scoring.
  3. EDIT: Good games :002:
  4. Well, if he does go... I'd like to say thanks for those two bullet headers he scored against Aberdeen and Celtic :clapping03: Think i peeved off a few Aberdonians celebrating those goals in the pub. Shame we couldn't get the 3 points in either, but fun times none the less!
  5. I wrote about how there'll e a huge cheer across Scotland if he gets the winner against France or Italy, and something about encouraging the staff and pupils at my school to support Romania. Got the automated reply, the an unexpected personal reply saying thanks for encouraging support for him and Romania and hopefully he'll do ICT proud. My respect for the man couldn't be higher. Printed out the email and put it on my classroom wall, sitting alongside a 'caley's heroes' poster of the 3-1 win over Celtic, a 4-3 QOTS win over Aberdeen newspaper poster, a John Terry slipping printout, and an A3 photo of 13 friends and I outside the Parc de Princes after that Scotland win. Really gutted i'll miss the first two Romania games :029:

    P&J today...

In a word.... no. But there may be progress behind the scenes, which could lead to a positive or negative announcement from him or the club next week.
  7. Well we must be ****'s ourselves then since we nicked them from County! Let's not let this thread turn into a "Brew forced Rankin out" arguement, as we've been through that many times this year already :rolleyes02:
  8. ... also new contracts will be offered to Cowie, Fraser and Munro this summer
  9. Can someone please delete this boring and pointless thread?? :020:
  10. Probably the Perrotta being "English" link, like they had for the World Cup final :rolleyes02:
  11. I'm pretty sure Adrian Mutu is the other guy... :017:
  12. I'm sure there was a song I had to sing at assembly in primary school, that seems suitable for the pictures: "He was so wide you couldn't get round him So high you couldn't get over him..." ??
  13. Great stuff. Hope you really enjoy the trip/match! I'll be doing my best to find some time to see the game on a tv in London. Activities week with the school, so i'll be supervising 40 1st & 2nd years around the various sights... Must remember to bring my ICT and Scotland tops :016:
  14. It could suggest that Mutu and Marica are his preferred starters up front, what with them both starting the game. But good to see the glut of goals occurred when Marius was on the pitch. My guess is that he'll be a sub for the opening game, but will start at least one game. Fingers crossed they get throught the group stages (as well as Netherlands, who i've got in a sweepstake!). A disputed last minute winner against Italy please :023:
  15. All the games are on BBC and ITV. I'll be on a residential week with the school from the 9th onwards, so will prob miss the first 2 games :020: Sky+ will have to do!
  16. I wonder if the national newspapers are going to give us more than a paragraph on Marius's call up, since it looks like it'll just be him, Boruc and Vinegar of Castlemilk representing the SPL? It would be ace if he had one of those "Marius's Euro Diary" columns like they do with players before the Scottish Cup final. ... and IF the club is looking to sell him on, then the added publicity will surely do more good than harm :023:
  17. Wasn't it Charlie Christie that was interested in signing him from Aberdeen, not Brew? I don't think he has the height or strength for Brew to be interested :024:
  18. Well... Panini better release an updated Euro 2008 sticker album then, cause he's not in that :016: Must update my work diary to include what days the Romania games are on...
  19. I think he had tapas, sangria... then went for a siesta. Postcards are on their way.
  20. Just heard the police sirens go whizzing past my aberdeen flat :020: It'll be carnage tonight
  21. It was Inverness Caledonian Thistle last year, did you not see it? :023:
  22. One of my workmates brought up the horror situation of Marius playing in Euro 2008 and getting badly injured, out for a year and ICT having to pick up his wage followed by leaving on a Bosman in 2009 :029: Fingers crossed that doesn't happen!
  23. After reading Barrowman's comments in the P&J today, I don't think he's ICT bound :020: Hope i'm wrong though...
  24. Who? Niculae?
