ICT -V- Kilmarnock : matchday thread
having to listen to the celtic game, crapping myself at the pause after "there's been another goal in Inverness.... who's it for?"

ICT -V- Kilmarnock : matchday thread
Is the radio coverage only available in the Inverness area? I'm back in Aberdeen and my laptop soundcard is knackered. Had a quick scan through the FM frequency of my digital radio and found every game apart from the ICT game :020: Now I know how you overseas lot feel!!

Falkirk -V- ICT : matchday thread
Well I hope Caley feck up your treble... So do I!! :021:

Falkirk -V- ICT : matchday thread
Ach, I had a feeling that they'd score that corner for some reason. :020: The only slight thing that is going my way is my ?10 treble today. Tottenham, Sheffield United and (ahem...) Falkirk.

Falkirk -V- ICT : matchday thread
ahh Jim Spence commentating... Pretty sure it was he that commentated the 1-0 win away to Dundee United. Cue the overuse of the phrase: "Tidy play" He also rather likes Mike Fraser from what I remember...

just been down to the ticket office
Hopefully a couple of hundred more tickets have been snapped up as a result of yesterday's win :clapping03: Dare I say another win against falkirk will cause a home end sell out?

3rd PLACE / EUROPE ?

Will you now admit...
I almost will... We've had our luck in the last 5 games, which many will agree that could have weilded 0 points instead of 3. But a change in formation, forced by Wyness's injury, has worked wonders. His Wilson and Bayne super subs tactics have been a breath of fresh air as well. Keep it up Brew and i'll definitely admit I was wrong.

Manager of the Month
What about Mikey Fraser who had a few clean sheets, followed by incredible performances against Celtic and Hearts? Voted MotM today by the radio pundits

Hearts -V- ICT : Matchday thread
Hearts keeper pushes Russell, gets sent off for 2nd yellow!! Hearts used all their subs so an outfield player must go in :021:

Hearts -V- ICT : Matchday thread
I agree, good sub. Bayne booked as I type. Wilson coming on in a minute for Ian Black.

Hearts -V- ICT : Matchday thread
I was in the middle of posting "I don't think we'll score again today, so fingers crossed we shut up shop!" So glad I was wrong! Still hope we shut up shop though!! Come on Motherwell, Celtic and Gretna!

Good Luck to Our Neighbours
You'd of thought Aberdeen won the UEFA cup the way that Northsound radio are going on about it today!! I thought i'd at least get 2 weeks of basking in the glory of our win against Celtic, but that's been forgotten pretty quickly by all staff and students today :020:

just been down to the ticket office
Hypothetically, if we sold out our Main Stand and North Stand (plus singing section). Do you think we could sell more home tickets in the away end, since there are only likely to be 100 Killie fans at the very most? Obviously sectioning the fans so there are a lot of seats between. This isn't likely to happen, but it could in theory happen if we have a match v. Gretna in which if we win, we make the top 6. I'm pretty sure we'd sell out the home sections for that, with others interested in going too.

There'll be a very empty away stand thats for sure. Whats our full capacity for the home ends?

When Denzil is fit
He can join the list of "Super subs" we have, to bring on if we are looking for a goal. If the results keep coming, I say we stick with the same formation and players; at least till the Gretna game. The last time we played a 4-4-2, it was against St-Mirren and we were woeful by all accounts...

That is excellent news. I was really hoping to make this game whilst i'm back visiting folk in Elgin, but have to be back home in Aberdeen for 7pm which makes it a no-go. Will definitely make the away game to Aberdeen and the home game to Gretna however, so fingers crossed the results keep going, thus encouraging more to go to the Tulloch.

Team for Hearts game
Its a shame that Proctor is suspended, as he would've been handy to have against Andy Driver. Glad to hear that Kingston is injured, and I presume Stewart will still be suspended for the game? Fingers crossed we can cause plenty of problems and sneak another win :clapping03:

Aberdeen Game 2/1/08
Ahh... The fixture I look most forward to in the season. Lived in Aberdeen for 7 years and been to every Dons v. Caley game at pittodrie, living in hope that we'll get the win and I can take the **** out of all my Dons supporting mates/family/workmates/students. I apologise to my liver in advance, for the period between 31st Dec and 3rd Jan :023:

BIGGER crowds
The 3 for 2 or discount offers would still have to offer less value than a season ticket. As we'd soon find a massive drop in season ticket holders, who are preferring to take up these offers instead. Interesting ideas though...

Out of contract players
I liked big Markus last season; hope he can recapture fitness and form in time to win a new contract.

Out of contract players
Which of our players are out of contract in the summer? Just reading that Aberdeen could lose Michael Hart, Barry Nicholson, Zander Diamond and a few others as they are able to speak to other clubs soon. I seem to remember that Barry will be and the likes of Sutherland and Wood could be. Not sure on the likes of Duncan, Black, Rankin, Rossco, Hastings etc... Probably best that there's been no media on our players contracts, as it could alert some of the other clubs to their availability.

Team for Hearts game
Although I can't make this game, i'm really looking forward to listening to it on the radio. This could be an even more important game than the Celtic one, in that if we win it'll really develop a gap between us and Hearts in the race for top 6. The fixtures after that game are mostly ones we should be looking for 3 points: Kilmarnock and Gretna. With hopes of getting 3 points against Aberdeen and Falkirk. The 4-5-1 formation could really benefit us in this match I feel. If we can nullify the likes of Michael Stewart and Kingston (is he injured at the moment?), we'll cause them a lot of problems.
