  1. I sit time to have a new forum for: PLAYERS RELEASED WHICH WE COULD/WOULD/SHOULD GO FOR?? It seems every day there is at least one player that is released, which then goes into our Rumour Mill, despite no interest/rumour being shown from us. And on Pinilla, not only is he more injury prone than Dargo and Markus combined, he has a really bad attitude, personal problems and a wage which could fund 2 or 3 Mariusshhess. Roll on the close of the transfer window to end these nonsense suggestions.
  2. Dunno about getting Maldini snr, but we should maybe offer a contract to his 5 year old son... Not many players can tackle Seedorf like this: Daniel Maldini
  3. Deano was a CC signing i'm afraid.
  4. I knew i'd heard of him before; very interesting article in the guardian that i read a while back... A tall center midfielder is something we haven't got. And who knows how long the likes of Black and McBain will be at the club?
  5. Nowt to do with Dargoals, but with all this talk of the need for a 'proven SPL goalscorer', I thought i'd share my concerns. It is worrying that Stevie Crawford hasn't found a club yet. I also noticed on the online edition of the Daily Record that he was bigging up Brewster and was hoping to emulate his long playing career... Since all our strikers are young and inexperienced, except from Mariuusshh, I think he'll want to bring someone in who's experienced :024: :020:
  6. Wasn't Imrie also considered a lazy flair player in January? He certainly proved people wrong, and if he continues stepping up his fitness will be a fantastic signing. Even Barrowman himself has said he's going to bust a gut to do well at ICT. If a player can stick the ball in the net more times than not and is a bit lazy, then it's a good thing we have a manager that has brought in an approach that demands fitness and effort. I say well done Brew for a signing that could prove to be an excellent piece of business. The same people that are moaning about Barrowman before he's even kicked a ball, would be the same people moaning that we haven't signed any new players if he hadn't signed him. Canna win :blah01:
  7. 30k according to the Dunfermline Courier
  8. Very good. There are few center mids who always look to move the ball forward. Also, on his day he has a fantastic shot and cross, which occurs about once a month.

    Riga

Heading there for a few days in a week and a bit. Any tips? Notice there's a Latvian league game on whilst i'm there about 30k away for FK J?rmala, where there's also a beach. Well up for going to that!
  10. So our strikers at the moment are: Barrowman Wood McAllister Imrie (although he'll prob be playing left mid) Niculae (for now) S.Sutherland (bit too early for an appearance?) - Would love to see Dorrans come on loan. - Undecided with whether I want Youtube Elliot. He works hard and is aggressive, bit like Bayne. - Just hope Brewster doesn't for King Kenny's son Paul... :029:
  11. Any chance we can get this thread pumped to NON-ICT? :023:
  12. It's starting to grow on me... Much like our last home top did eventually.
  13. I'm not normally one to throw rumours about, or believe downright silly ones, but I'll explain. I've now heard several people in Aberdeen mention Tokely and McBain are signing for the Dons in the summer, as Jimmy Calderwood won't get Maybury and is looking for a grafting midfielder. Some of these people are incredibly trustworthy and have connections with the Dons... I don't believe for a second that Rossco will sign for the Dons as there seems to be a deep hatred towards him from a few of the Dons players, rightfully reflected back at them from Rossco. Jimmy wouldn't want to rock the dressing room or lose more respect from the fans. However, McBain? That rumour could have some legs in it. We've got loads of midfielders, and with the signing of Imrie and the potential of Vigurs and Gillespie, perhaps his days are running out at ICT? Is he 33 now? Surprised if they are interested in him, but it makes some sense. With these rumours, there has been the added interest of Mackie coming to us. Perhaps this is the experienced SPL goalscorer some of our fans have been asking for? I know his scoring record isn't great in the long run, but he has shown that given a run of starts, he will do well. Good pace, good header and (as we've found out) can con the ref for a few pens! Again though, would this rock the dressing room here? I've seen our players have a right go at him when he's been faining injury or diving for the Dons... Anyways, take all that with a pinch of salt. Something better to talk about than *Insert player released from a club/could they do a job for us? threads* :rolleyes02:
  14. He is. He made it clear at the end of the season that McNulty is our 3rd choice keeper, which suggests that we will bring in another keeper to push Mikey. Zibi is back in pre-season training with Hibs from what I was reading in an Edinburgh paper. Hope that's been of some help?
  15. Some positive comments in the Press and Journal... P&J If Imrie can continue his impressive form, I think he'll provide plenty chances for Andy to tuck away. Glad pre-season falls in the Summer Hols, as i'll bust a gut to see as many games as possible... much like last year, when hoping to see Marius in action!
  16. Well I for one hope he gets encouragement from the fans. Looking forward to seeing him pre-season :clapping03:
  17. Proctor?? I think he could do a good job, as he has shown signs of being prolific in England. Good pace, decent height, good penalty on him.... The more points I list, the more I hope he does sign! Much rather him than 'Youtube' :023:
  18. He didn't put a foot wrong in my opinion. Can only think of maybe one misplaced pass? Mutu has been way too greedy and the crosses in the box have been Kirk Broadfoot-esque. Marius must be getting used to not getting any service by now though!? :rolleyes02: At least he's not out injured a la Frank Ribery... :023:
  19. Bawjaws :008: The champagne I bought in Paris after the Scotland game, to celebrate our qualification (which didn't happen obviously) might remain unopened :019:
  20. I think Mutu is trying to do this all by himself. He's taking on too many players and shooting every chance he gets... Great player I know, but needs to look for his other striker :004:
  21. I nearly hit the roof with that shot :crazy07:
  22. This is magic!! I'm about as nervous as i have been for Scotland games. Spent the evening texting Dons fans to see if Jeffrey De Vischer made the Netherlands squad :blah01:
  23. *Salutes Marius during his national anthem with can of beer* C'mon Romania!!! :clapping03:
  24. Well he better be starting now, as i've just texted half of Aberdeen saying he is :029: I'll wear my ICT strip to work tomorrow if he grabs the winning goal :021:
  25. Romania: Lobont, Tamas, Rat, Ghionea, Contra, Chivu, Nicolita, Codrea, Cocis, Niculae, Mutu Guessing that'll be D.Niculae. No sign of Marica in that line up.
