  1. When are the quarter finals taking place?? Think i may have to plan a journey from Aberdeen... :021: Work will be a joy tomorrow when i ask how the Dons got on in the cup yesterday :023:
  2. Bannerman's exact words were Duncan "slammed" the ball, and it "screeched" into the back of the net :021: :025:
  3. I'm quite interested to see how Rory fares on Saturday. Bare in mind we have the likes of... Paatelainen McSwegan Barry Wilson Who can all pull a shift up front along with Bayne. And by all accounts Dargo's injury isn't as bad as first feared, and could be back in as little as 3 weeks. To be honest, i think we are all just panicking because we aren't used to having more than 3/4 players injured all at once!!

    Liam Keogh

BBC Report: Keogh will be a part-time player until the end of the season before going full-time in the summer. So what is his other trade?? Is he a student at all? Paper round??
  5. My two goals i've enjoyeed the most, and celebrated the wildest would have to be Rankin v. Rangers and Tokely v. Dunfermline... :021:

From the Scotsman... Reports today suggested that Collins was preparing a £200,000 bid for the Scotland B international, who has been troubled by disciplinary problems this season, picking up nine yellow cards and one red in the 18 SPL games he has featured in so far. However, the Hibs boss added: "There is no truth in it. We've been linked with a lot of players but he is not one of the players we have been looking at.
  7. Jimmy Calderwood qould probably rate him really highly then.... :023:

Wait till Scott Brown and Kevin Thomson get sold for millions, then up the price for Blackie!! He must of been brilliant in that 20 minute cameo last sunday
  11. From P&J Caley Thistle manager Charlie Christie intends to sign a goalkeeper today - but the recruit will definitely start as understudy to youngster Michael Fraser. Christie has been linked with St Mirren's Tony Bullock, Bryn Halliwell, of St Johnstone, and Roddy McKenzie, of Dunfermline. But his search has also taken in Premiership club Arsenal. He said: "We have whittled it down to about three or four names, a mixture of youth and experience. "We had Ian McCaldon training here as a free agent after his time with Ross County. He would have been the perfect solution, if he hadn't signed for Peterhead six days prior to Mark Brown moving on. "Tony Bullock is one of the names we have considered. His agent contacted me as soon as he heard Mark was going to Celtic. "One of the names which cropped up in conversation with director of football Graeme Bennett was a young lad at Arsenal. "However, would someone from London want to come up here on loan, and if they did, would they be happy playing second fiddle to Mike Fraser? That could be a stumbling block." Christie rejected reports former Sunderland and Derby County goalkeeper Mart Poom, who is now with Arsenal, was his target. The manager said: "We would be delighted to take a goalkeeper with Mart Poom's experience, but common sense would say there is no way he would come up here and sit on the bench." Christie will not rush into the transfer market in search of a replacement for Dundee United-bound Darren Dods and has also received some good news concerning Craig Dargo's injury. Christie said: "Darren is here until the end of the season. I know he will be giving 100%. "We have had better news about Craig Dargo's injury, and his dislocated shoulder isn't as bad as first feared. He was very upbeat yesterday. He will probably be out for about a month, but that is two weeks less than we first thought." INVERNESS will bring out a new away strip next season to commemorate 10 years at their Caledonian Stadium home. It will only be available to season ticket holders, who were notified by post yesterday of their chance to pay £100 for the privilege of having their name incorporated into the design. For their fee, they will also receive a replica copy of the shirt and a certificate. Caley Jags intend to wear the new outfit during each of their away fixtures next term and up to 1,000 names can be included on it. Ross County ran a similar scheme last season, while Aberdeen produced a strip with fans' names on it - which was worn just once in a friendly with Hamburg at Pittodrie - to mark their centenary in 2003.
  12. On the subject of Goalkeepers, i still cannot believe Jimmy Calderwood. I've had to put up with him ranting and raving about how great Langfield is in the Aberdeen papers, and how he refused to believe Mark Brown got into the Scotland B squad ahead of ©langers. This is his recent pish in the Daily Ranger "Calderwood has stood by the stopper despite a series of howlers that have hit the Dons' bid for Champions League football and Scottish Cup glory. But although the Pittodrie manager is still convinced Langfield is the best Scottish keeper after Hearts star Craig Gordon, he is running out of patience" So despite him costing the club goals left right and center, the fans all saying ©Langers is rubbish too, he still thinks he is the 2nd best Scottish keeper.

  14. Almost as bad as the Alan Gow rumour!!
  15. It was great to see another game for Caley without us getting a yellow card, could that be 2 in a row after the Dons game? 3 in a row if we never got any in the Stirling Albion game?? Can only be positive.
  16. The closest i have ever come to jumping on to the pitch to lamp someone... :023: I did give him dogs abuse for it when he was up in Elgin visiting his girlfriend (at the time) for xmas. He merely said he couldn't remember the incident, but insisted he is no cheat :018: :015:
  17. Had to laugh at this comment on Hibs.net think the thing about caley is that because they are a physical slow playing side it counteracts with our talents and they stop us from playing football
  18. I pray he doesn't get the manager of the month award. Last time he did, we went on a hooorrrriibbbbllleee run of form that took us from 2nd top to 2nd bottom.
  19. This is brilliant, all my Dons fan workmates and pupils were going on about how we were going to get humped by hibs today :015:
  20. Yes!! i just woke up 2mins ago as well :016:
  21. Those that don't will give their membership number to a mate who wants to go. I'd be surprised if there are any SSC memberships that don't ask for 2 tickets... as ebay has shown that there is a market for in demand scotland tickets!!
  22. *Puts red pen back in drawer* The irony is, i'm on a free period and i went on this site as a break from marking
  23. Eh? is there even a full stop in there somewhere...??
  24. Glen Johnson, on a season-long stay from Chelsea, and Millwall striker Ben May were caught at B&Q in Dartford on Wednesday. The pair were spotted by a security guard putting a toilet seat into a box with a cheaper price tag before they reached the checkout, according to reports. They also avoided paying for a set of taps by concealing them underneath a sink at the checkout. A worker at the store told The Sun: "We all recognised Johnson. No one could quite believe a bloke like him, with all that money, would be moronic enough to nick a toilet seat. But that's what him and May were doing. "They were spotted by one of our security guards, a chap of 74, and cops arrived as they were trying to leave. "They seemed to find the whole thing funny and couldn't stop smirking even after they had been arrested." A Kent Police spokesman said: "Kent Police arrested two 22-year-old men on Wednesday on suspicion of theft in Dartford. "Both men have been issued with £80 fixed penalty notices." Gary Double, Portsmouth's director of communications, said: "We won't be making a statement." A Millwall spokeswoman also refused to comment.
