  1. Nah surely not. I remember getting beat 2-0 off somebody when he had his only game in charge. Hungary maybe??
  2. I'll be devasted too if Tommy Burns gets it. Wasn't he in charge for a game after Berti Left, to try and prove to the SFA he deserved the job. Pretty sure we got pumped. Sweden?? Belgium?? canna mind.
  3. £21 !! Has that gone up a whole £1 since last year?? Although, i was a student every year we played Dons at pittodrie, so only paid concession
  4. I'm of the opinion Mike Fraser could be a better keeper than Broonie too :022: I've seen all his performances for the first X1, including that 45mins in our debut season; and every time have been really impressed. If Brown does go, i'd rather he leave in the December window for a fee, than sign a pre-contract and leave in the summer.
  5. The Daily Ranger is saying that Mark has spoken with Falkirk, but is also waiting to see if Inverness give him an improved offer.
  6. Ah... the tie i look most forward to in the season. Since i live in Aberdeen, it is brilliant to be able to make a game without having to endure hours of public transport. Also means i can meet up with all my Dons supporting mates before and after the game for a good bit of banter (still waiting for that Caley win!) Lets hope the game on wednesday crocks a few Dons players.
  7. From what i understand it, both sides agree on the ticket price. Then the gate receipts are distributed 50/50 after expenses (security etc). Thats why teams like Dumbarton look forward to a pay day when they played at Parkhead.. ... By the way, only about 16-18000 in Parkhead, which included 2,000 Dumbarton fans!! Shocking. Especially from the 'so called best fans in the world' :015: :023: Every time i've been to parkhead to see ICT, the Celtic fans have been quieter than our home fans! They leave about 20mins before the end. Several get chucked out for making gestures to the away end. Best fans, my arse.
  8. BBC Report Craig Dargo returned to the Inverness starting line-up to ensure there was no Scottish Cup upset at Forthbank. The fit-again striker shot home from close in after eight minutes and Dennis Wyness added a neat volley. David O'Brien replied with a low strike in off the post but Roy McBain drilled in for the visitors and Dargo bagged a long range cracker before the interval. Barry Wilson blazed in a shot and Alan Morgan completed the rout with a close range finish. Inverness began impressively and opened up a two-goal lead inside the first 13 minutes. Following misses from Graham Bayne and Ross Tokely, the breakthrough came when John Rankin dispossessed Steven Bell and crossed for Dargo to bundle the ball past Myles Hogarth. Soon after, McBain's lofted pass was knocked back by Bayne and Wyness lashed home a brilliant volley from 18 yards. The Second Division side hit back almost immediately after O'Brien ran on to a John Fraser pass and beat Mark Brown with a low shot. But Caledonian Thistle soon restored their two-goal advantage when McBain collected a loose ball and found the net after his initial shot struck the legs of team-mate Wyness. Four minutes before the interval, a moment of magic from Dargo saw the visitors settle the tie. The forward took possession in a congested area of the pitch, before hitting a superb 25-yard chip over the head of the stranded Hogarth. Inverness showed no signs of dropping the pace in the second half and only two minutes following the restart the Highlanders scored again. Wilson collected the ball 30 yards from goal and drove forward positively, prior to firing a low drive past Hogarth. Rankin then fed the ball to substitute Morgan and the former Blackburn trainee managed to slip the ball home from an acute angle.
  9. Good to see there were no bookings as well. As if you get booked twice in the rounds you are suspended; not sure if there is an amnesty round later when your yellows are wiped off... Good on the boys. Doubt we'll play the same formation against the Dons, but could to see them adapt well to the change. I just hope the reason why Hastings wasn't in the squad, was because he was in talks with Aberdeen (as i'm constantly hearing rumours up here in the granite city, that there's a swap deal on the cards for Mackie)
  10. when is the draw for the next round made?
  11. Is there online coverage of the game somewhere??
  12. My connection is still working :024: Having to listen to the hearts game is a pisser though :020:
  13. Maybe bring on some subs to rest players for next sat?? Hope they leave Dargo on for his hat trick
  14. I'm sure i remember about a year and a half ago, that Celtic were after Don Cowie. It was in a fair amount of newspapers and the bbc page
  15. Mark Brown would have to save one within 15mins though :023:
  16. There's a couple of Rangers diehards in my S1 and S4 class that i can't wait to see :021: :015: The Dons fans at school will be loving my Caley allegience too
  17. If Sebo can play for Rangers so can I!!! If Sebo can play for Rangers so can I!!! Ohhh... if Sebo plays for Rangers, Ohhh... if Sebo plays for Rangers, If Sebo can play for Rangers so can I!!! How i didn't get a kicking when celebrating our goal i'll never know... Only ICT fan in a room of about 50 Huns :021:
  18. Ah, you have to select the Kilmarnock game to listen to the ICT v. Motherwell game. :024: :024:
  19. Where is the radio coverage for the game?? Cause the BBC have the hibs game on, where the link clearly states ICT v. Motherwell. Is there any other site that'll have it??
  20. :014: Seems like there are a few options then. It'll be for the game against Killie on Dec 16th, so there's plenty of time to make a confirmed decision and phone call etc. Pretty sure i'll be through for the game against Hearts this weekend, and possibly on my loansome. If so, i'll pop in by the Innes. Do they do food?
  21. taken from TeamTalk.com Four veteran players have been made available for loan by Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock. Defenders Chris Lucketti, Alan Wright and David Unsworth, along with striker Neil Shipperley - all aged over 32 - have been offered to Football League clubs in advance of Thursday's loan transfer deadline. Unsworth and Wright are the only ones of the quartet to have featured in the Premiership this season and Warnock admitted he is willing to listen to offers. "Because of the loan deadline later this week we have alerted a few clubs, letting them know that these players are available," he told the club's website. Since we have good relations with Utd, do you think they'll be offering any of the above to us? Would be want them if they are offered?
  22. Are there any pubs that still run buses to the ground on match days? The reason i ask is because my father and 20 odd work colleagues (all Dons/Dufermline/Dundee etc etc fans who consider ICT to be their second team) are making their bi-annual trip from Elgin to see ICT game; to which they used to get the bus from the Pheonix Bar. Since that has ceased though, are there any other buses running from other bars? I've previously got the free taxi service from a bar on the way to the ground, think its called the "Drift Bar" or something like that. All i remember is they had free freshly caught prawns on the tables!!
  23. I wouldn't be too hasty in dropping Duncan, as he played very well yesterday. Like most though, i think its about time we rested McBain as he hasn't given much to the team at all lately. Maybe move Rankin out wide and bring Black back into the center. Mark Brown to come straight back into the team?? I was very happy with Fraser's performance, and would quite like him to keep his place.
